Quality Inn and Suites - New Orleans

The room was not very clean. I tried to call the front desk only to find the phone was not hooked up, no cord. I took this to the front desk at 4pm on our check in day. We were supposed to stay two nights but only stayed one. When we checked out at 9:30 am the next day we still did not have the phone cord. They had painted some trim in the room. It […] looked like they got first grade kids from the local school to do the painting. It was all over the place not just on the trim. There was no TV channel list in the room and it was very difficult to find anything. There was also no information on the local area. They had breakfast in the lobby in the morning. They were out of about everything they served by 8am and it was supposed to run to 9. Bottom line is that there is no way we would stay there again. Mehr

Room was not in good shape. Floor was soiled and looked dirty. Bad neighborhood.

MY STAY AT THE HOTEL WENT WELL UNTIL THE AC FROZE UP AND STOP WORKING IT GET REALLY HOT IN THE ROOM SO I REALLY DID NOT GET MUCH SLEEP THE NIGHT BEFORE I CHECKED OUT. WHEN I TOLD THE PERSON BEHIDE THE FRONT DESK ALL WAS SAID WAS OH I AM SORRY I HOPE IT DOSE HAPPEN TO THE NEXT GUEST.

Hotel was kind of noise late at night with people talking loud due to parties.

Never been so nervous about staying overnight at a motel. I can't think of a situation that would justify staying here. Mold in first two rooms. Doors would not latch in second two rooms. Third set of rooms accepted out of pure fatigue. Pool did not look maintained with what looked like slime balls about the size of your fist floating all around. Returned […] to motel after dark and there were shady characters selling items out of their car trunks. Pictures on site are deceiving to say the least. There was no towel in the room when I arrived. I went go the front; the telephone was out of order, clert said someone would bring it, but no one came. I had to go to front again. The pool was dirty, looks it was not cleaned by hotel. Overall, comparing price, it's not acceptible.

The hotel was off in the cut and the surroundings were not great but the room itself and bed were nice. I used this hotel just to lay my head after a concert at the UNO Lake Front Arena. Definitely worth staying if just looking for a place to sleep.

So, one of the few times we had to stay on the outskirts of New Orleans. Definitely off the beaten path. If you have to be in the city for an extended period, this is NOT the hotel for you. Simply too far away from downtown, French Quarters, etc.

The area surrounding the hotel is still in disrepair from katrina. Surrounded by closed down businesses and lower income housing. Not recommended for women staying alone. It's ok for a place to sleep, but thats about it.

Air condition didn't work. Rooms need new paint jobs.

Friendly staff room quality is OK but price was great. You really get what you pay. I would stay there again.

The staff was very friendly and addressed one issue quickly when it arose. However, the tile floor was dirty in the bathroom area, doors and walls needed painting, towels were of very cheap quality, and the carpet was filthy. I was truely worried about bed bugs; but didn't get any bites. The bed did not fall in line with the aforementioned. It was very […] comfortable and I would have slept like a baby had it not been for the space under the door that allowed me to hear everything outside; the weak lock that made me think it could be opened with a strong wind; and the paper thin walls that I could hear the bathroom door open, someone urinating, toilet flushing and flowing down the drain. The staff was really nice at the hotel at check-in and check out. The neighborhood was really dicey - the hotel is wedged in between a pawn shop and a meat market, chain link fencing all around, and the driveway is easy to miss because there's no real street-facing "front," just a little alley lined with chain-link fencing. The room itself was okay […] - the remote control had been stolen so we couldn't watch TV, and there were some stains on comforter, etc, but looked like old stains not dirty stains. All in all, it was what it was - not the worst-ever, but far from great! Mehr

I was very satisfied with my stay here at the Quality Inn and Suites. The bed was relatively comfortable and the room was very clean albeit simply furnished. There were no frills but for the great price we got they were not to be expected. If you plan on spending a lot of time in the city though, you may want to reconsider staying at one of the hotels […] located closer downtown. The price is a bit more expensive but the fact that we would have saved a lot of money in parking would have more than made up the extra cost of the room. Mehr

When we arrived the staff was generally unhelpful, only the manager I spoke to some hours later showed any desire or concern for our situation. The other staff were too busy with chit-chat amongst themselves to assist us. In an effort to stop me from asking further questions about why our room wasn't ready, one girl offered "to go check on it" and […] then proceeded to gather her personal belongings and clock out as if she was going on break instead. Needless to say, we did not hear from her again and she checked nothing for us - because she actually did just shrug me off and went on break. The room was not ready because it was still being cleaned, we had to find this out from the cleaning lady outside our door. It took almost two hours passed check-in time for it to be finished. Finally when it seemed the cleaning woman was finished with the room I went to sleep on the bed only to be woken up by someone barging through the door without knocking 20 minute later - she had returned to change the comforter showing no remorse that I'd been woken up. She did not even offer to come back, though she clearly saw I was asleep as it startled her that someone was in there. She said "it would only take a minute". The comforter was soured from being wet in the washer too long and smelled awful. Room was generally dingy but acceptable. Remainder of stay was average if you ignore the neglect, incompetence and rudeness of the staff on duty that day. Would strongly suggest staying somewhere else if you're looking for good treatment and a spiffy room. Mehr

Initially, we were really nervous for our safety at this hotel. It is definitely in a "transitional" neighborhood, surrounded by many empty buildings that haven't yet been fixed since Katrina. We spent a sleepless first night envisioning our car being broken into. We were happy to see in the morning that our car was in fact safe and there were even […] several quite expensive cars in the lot that were safe as well. After that we had few concerns for our safety. The door to the hallway is very thin so we could hear people conversing outside our hotel room. One bedspread looked to have a spot of blood on it. Otherwise, the room had been very recently remodeled and included SUPER comfortable mattresses and pillows, a flat screen tv, granite countertop in the bathroom and tile floor. It was about 10 minutes from the French Quarter, and literally just off the highway. They also serve the BEST biscuits for breakfast that I've ever tasted- totally not what I expected from a hotel! I would definitely stay here again! We were pleasantly surprised. Mehr

the staff is amazing! I can not compliment them enough....they made my long 16 hour straight drive to NOLA beyond worth it!
