La Quinta Inn Montgomery Eastern Bypass - Montgomery

Right after checking in, we were leaving to go to dinner and were suddenly surprised by several police officers with draw guns stopping a vehicle and arresting occupants. Not the fault of the hotel but definitely an unsettling experience. The room was not very clean and had a large stain on the carpet between the beds. My wife wouldn't even walk on […] the floor without shoes. The bathroom definitely needed updating and had a nasty sour bleach smell to it. Had to go to office to get extra towels as they only left two in the room which had two double beds (for up to four people). Getting ice was also very inconvenient as we had to either go to another floor or walk to the back of the building. The only positive was the beds as they were very comfortable. It was nasty, the breakfast was horrible tasted like rubber waffles and bad neighborhood. Looked out the window one time ad police were searching trunks for drugs of people staying there. Convenient to my purpose, good value

After we got the correct room, first one had been smoked in and we reserved a non-smoking room the room was fine. Refridgerator was not cooling. Will stay there again this weekend as another stop over on long trip.

The room was clean and the bed comfortable. However, the Wifi did not work in our room and when we called we were sent to tech support. We never did get wifi in our room. The staff was nice though.

I booked a non-smoking room, I quite smoking Nov 12,2012 and haven't touched one since that day. As soon as I walked into the room I noticed it smelled like stale smoke, it kept me awake, and my clothes retained that smell for my entire weekend. I wasn't going to say anything, but the next morning I found a lighter on the bathroom floor behind the door. […] I called the front desk, and all he told me was, " okay we won't charge you for smoking!!" I was NOT satisfied at all nor was I comfortable, thankfully the next night we were booked in a woderful hotel in Atlanta, and they were very helpful, friendly, and clean. Mehr

It was pleasant. It was a little confusing to determine the location since there are two LaQuinta Inns next door to each other. I went to the wrong one on my first try to check in and then had to drive over to the other one. Kind of strange.

The room was comfortable and clean. I only wish there was a "fan" option on the heater to block out the road noise. We heard thundering trucks, sirens and just general traffic noise pretty much all night. The heater did block out the noise when it was on, but you couldn't keep it on because the air would be too hot and dry. The room was comfortably sized for two adults, two children. It's an older property, and there is another LQ right next door, so there was a bit of confusion there, as well as for the date of the stay. I had just started using my Expedia app, and I may have reserved and paid for the wrong day, but the hotel made it a non-issue. A few clicks of the mouse […] and we were in. That is shocking! Most places want your ID, credit card, and your first-born to get you into a room, but check in is FAST! That's the most impressive thing to me. We have stayed at this same hotel two times a year for a few years and the bathroom floor was FILTHY !! The carpet was dirty and sticky and the beds seemed to be clean but smelled somewhat yucky. There was a large pile of animal feces, I think it was animal, in the area where we parked in front of our room theat needed to be cleaned up but the clerk […] that was sent to take care of it did a really bad job of it! I parked in the spot in front of the next room over! We slept as good as we could and got up at about 4:30 a.m. took a shower and left by 6 a.m. ! Didn't even stay for the breakfast ! Our room smelled like cigarettes which as non smokers we didn't appreciate. However the room was clean, the beds were comfy and the breakfast was good. I have a gluten allergy and there was yogurt, fruit, eggs and orange juice that I could have. As two young travellers on a budget, this hotel was perfect.

we were very disapointed the room was not the cleanest. there was roach caca on all the door hidges. we told them that we had a 2 year old with us we would have never staid if we new there was no frig to keep the milk cold or a crib or playpen. they should have told us before payin for room. the free breakfast was a joke. toaster beagle was the only […] hot food. asked bout snack machines there was only 1 soda machine and that wasn,t on our floor. wish i would have known i would not have wasted my money Mehr

This motel is a great value, well maintained and clean. It is located about 12-15 minutes from the downtown historic attractions, and has a full selection of restaurants and stores nearby. Had difficulty with the GPS finding it because the address on the website might not be correct.

The only problem me and my friend had with this hotel was that it was very easy to hear outside. The hotel is near an interstate so we heard traffic all night. Cleanliness, service, comfort, and convenience were all fantastic, lovely bed, spacious room, (excluding the bathroom), very easy to reach, was right off the highway. This hotel is slowly falling downhill. It's not the same as it was 2 yrs ago. With our daughter attending Huntingdon College we spend about 14 nights/yr in Montgomery. The hotel breakfast is the pits compared to others. The only warm breakfast you get is microwave oatmeal or a toasted bagel. The coffee tastes like some cheap store brand. The muffins […] are good since they're Otis Meyer. Don't count on waffles here but they do have syrup (no one knows why). The front desk folks could use a personality check. Not professional in any way. The rooms: bathroom is so small you have to straddle the toilet to close the door. We got a no smoking room yet there were cigarette burn stains on the sink, bathtub & nightstand. Beds were semi comfortable, mattresses need changing. The lamps, pictures, etc needed cleaning as the dust had been there a long time. Got a room for 3 ppl yet there were only towels for 2. Don't call the front desk for towels unless you can wait till the next day. All in all La Quinta is NOT what it used to be, meaning this hotel. Two tears ago I gave it excellent reviews but now its turned into a dump. Mehr
