Days Inn Norfolk-Military Circle - Norfolk

Have no idea where the contential breakfast was. Also, no vending machines like it was posted.

I think that it was nice. We found no issues with it. It was easy to find and the front desk staff was very pleasant.

I was not satisfied: 1.Though enclosed by fencing, the pool was empty and uncovered. This is not safe. 2. My shower did not work. When I turned the knob no water came out. 3.There was an odor in the room. 4. The bed was clean and well made but the mattress was very old and "cheap". The accomodations were not of my standard at all. The price was cheap […] but that did not need to mean that the hotel was cheap. 5.Oranges served for breakfast were not fresh. 6. paper cups and other pieces of trash were on the grounds. It was raining and workman were standing by their clealning equipment as I letft for my car but no one seemed interested in picking up paper laying on the ground. I was not satisfied and felt mislead by the name "Days Inn".. It did not meet the standard of a national chain of hotels as I expected. Mehr

For the money, this hotel was pretty good. I've stayed in 4 stars that were about the same as this one. I'd definitely stay here again!

Overall, we are satisfied with the Days Inn - Military Circle and would stay here again.

Dont stay here. The room had now towels. There was a dirty face towel left in the bathroom. Room smelled like a carton of cigarettes. They came with fresh towels fairly quickly but the pillow cases and the sheets had stains on them. Overall I was not satisfied and don't plan on staying there again. The hotel was a little creepy. The room was fairly clean. The bed was really low. There was water laying by the elevator that got our pants wet trying to get on the elevator.

The hotel is located right off the interstate. It is close to many restaurants and stores. The room wasn't the nicest. It did have a mini fridge and microwave. The best was very uncomfortable and hard. The internet is is not fast but it works. The breakfast is a typical continental breakfast.

I went down to Norfolk for vacation and stayed here because of the cheaper rates compared to nearby places. Even though I arrived a couple hours early for checking in, the front office let me into my room promptly and flawlessly. The room itself was very clean, with plenty of fresh towels and soap for me and my buddy. The A/C unit ran a little loud […] on the coldest setting, so I left it at medium coolth, which quieted the unit. Despite the hotel's location near several busy roadways, I barely heard any traffic. The housekeeping staff was very courteous and asked if we needed anything in the room to be freshened or replenished. The firmness of the bed took some getting used to, but soon enough, I was sleeping like a baby. The mini-fridge and microwave provided was perfect for keeping and reheating take out. I felt very safe and secure in this hotel. The next time I am visiting Norfolk/Virginia Beach, Days Inn Norfolk-Military Circle will be my first choice, out-of-town accommodation. I am giving this hotel 5 overall stars. I highly recommend this attractively-priced hotel to anyone who wants peace and tranquility in an urban setting while being close to every amenity possible. bad hotel, too shady area...

I booked off of the internet. I was not happy with alot of things. Freeway access was fine. That is all I have to say POSITIVE about place. Rooms were older. Noise from people walking by ( you could hear them coming from afar ) was LOUD and woke me up all 3 nights I stayed their. Rooms seems moist or damp to me. Clock radio did not work for alarm BUT […] since I am a little sleeper and was awoke every night I did not need an alarm as I was unable to fall asleep again from outside noise as well as freeway noise. I am not sure I will stay at Days Inn again. I really wish I could get into the rates etc but realize it is not Hotel.coms realm. My overall rating would be a zero if it were allowed. I stayed in this hotel almost 15 years ago. It may have been upgraded but still feels the same. It's not dirty!! The manager was freindly and accomodating. Great place to stay if you just need a safe, inexpensive place to sleep in the area.

Clean room, bed OK, other furniture in poor condition, wi-fi sucks, lots of characters hanging around the parking lot.

For the price everything was great. Thanks hotel.com

i would never recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was filthy. I found blood on the sheets and pillows. There was hair balls all around the floor. The ceiling looked as if its about to cave in. Even though i had a non smoking room the room smelled like smoke. This was the worst experience.

This hotel is convenient to a lot of things, but the neighborhood has really gone down. The beds were very low to the ground and hard as rocks. The entire building needs to be remodeled and updated. Breakfast could have been improved some too, with eggs or something else hot.

The Days Inn at Norfolk Military Circle is your run of the mill average hotel. Don't expect luxury or 5 star service at this hotel. The Days Inn should be considered for those on a budget and who need a semi comfortable stay. The quality of the hotel service was average. I was able to check in without any problems and the employee at the front desk […] directed me to my room also without any problems. The condition of the hotel was a bit spotty in some areas. Some of the hallways had puddles of water and it looked as though the cleaning crew had stopped in the middle of the work. Some areas also contained trash and the few trash cans that were in the area were full and unsightly. The room was surprisingly clean and comfortable. Trash had been emptied, toiletries had been restocked, and the room was supplied with fresh clean towels. The sofa was comfortable and the bed was fairly comfortable as well. However, pillow cases were missing. Perhaps we would have been delivered pillow cases had I called, but it was late and I decided to use some sheets I packed to cover the pillows. Thin walls proved to be somewhat of an annoyance as it was very easy to hear commotion that was going on outside and in other rooms. Arguments, loud talking, and slamming doors can provide a negative experience as it is quite noticeable in the room. Convenience of the hotel location earned the highest rating. Personally, it is very close to work and I was able to get to and from work with no problems. Generally speaking it is very close to the interstate which allows fast and efficient access throughout the Norfolk area. It is located in an average neighborhood and I did not feel unsafe staying there. However, vehicles are parked in an open parking lot with little to no security rather than a parking garage. This could potentially increase the risk of vandalism and vehicle theft. The Days Inn Norfolk Military Circle can provide a cheap night's rest but do not expect anything other than an ave Mehr

Rooms ran down, tub and sink drained slow, in tub while taking a shower the tub filled up with drain open, carpets, tv, and decor of room needs update, we came off highway late front desk was locked down like fort knox would not let us use bathroom, staff was ok, overall you get what you pay for, never again

So I probably should have known better by the two star rating. You get what you pay for. Title sums it up, this place is ghetto. I didn't feel safe and checked to make sure my car was still there first thing in the morning. The only issue I had was that I had a nonsmoking room but the room smelled of smoking, I had to turn on airconditioner to get ruid of the smell of smoking. I would stay here again. The front desk was great service, I asked for a later checkout time and they accomdiated me without an extra cost.

We stayed on a Sunday night, so it was pretty quiet. The fact that a garbage can was overflowing, along with a container for personal products laying in the roadway, led us to believe that a party was held, although we did not hear any noise or problems. Where do i begin? When we arrived there were a group of people hanging out of a room smoking with the music so loud we heard it on the second floor where we stayed. The bed was hard as a rock! The stairwell to the room smelled like urine and had condom wrappers in it. The toilet didn't work well. The housekeeping staff was beyond rude. I've stayed at this hotel twice in the past month when I visit Norfolk for business. It has free wireless internet which is great, continental breakfast with bagels, toast, fruit, cereal, juice, and coffee which is also nice for people on the go. The first time I stayed in a very nice room - it was clean, the bed was comfy, the AC had a temperature […] control setting. It was a pleasant experience. The second time was also nice, but I think I stayed in a less newly renovated room. It happened to be next to the elevator, which was kind of inconveniently loud at 5am when the cleaning staff was getting ready. The AC did not have a specific temperature reading, so it was a little hard to get a comfortable setting, and the bathroom could have probably been a little cleaner. Overall, this is an excellent hotel for its cost. The proximity to the major roads in the area allows for quick travel, the wireless internet lets you research the area or do business during your stay, the continental breakfast is a nice feature, the hotel staff is INCREDIBLY pleasant, the pool is good for kids, and there are even a few restaurants within walking distance. I would recommend staying here if you're on a budget but want to be close to a lot of what Norfolk has to offer. If you're going to the beach, it may be a little far away (prob. 20-30 min. drive depending on traffic) but for stay in Norfolk it's great! Mehr

it wasn't very clean, there wasn't working ice machine in the hot summer day, the breakfast was very bad and we couldn't make a local phone call without 10 dollars depo. all n all very bad

This hotel is a rip-off. I am surprise Days Inn keeps their name on this place. The bed was dirty. Waste stains on sheets and they had the nerve to ask not to clean sheets daily. Stairwell smelled like urine. I would not recommend this to my worse enemy.

We've stayed at this hotel before and never had a problem. This stay was very different! From Saturday afternoon till Sunday evening not ONE ice machine was working. I brought to the attention of the front desk and has told "Well, everyone probably used it all up". I dont think we'll be staying their next year.

Stayed family in this hotel for 2 days. Liked everything - from the meeting prior to placement. The room is clean, clean linens on the beds, air conditioned, have tv, internet access, pool, complimentary breakfast with a sufficient set of products, free parking. THe only problem we had is the door did not lock we dont ever know until we go for dinner ? but they fixed it right away .

Room keys didn't work, air conditioning didn't work and was very noisy, and the lamp on the wall was missing the light bulb and the lamp shade. The carpet was very dirty and damp. Lots of noise all night long. Would not recommend this hotel.

1- Too much noise from the highway. 2- Too much noise from people hanging out in the parking lot. 3- Filthy rooms - part of the carpet was sticky 4- Filthy bathroom, mold growing in the tub 5- Someone needs to walk the grounds and clean up. 6- Overall It doesn't feel safe to stay there.

This hotel was very comfortable, the staff was very nice and attentive, and the room was clean. The drive to downtown Norfolk didn't take much more than five to ten minutes and there were a lot of restaurants nearby the hotel itself.

Fairly clean. Hot and cold water reversed in shower. Some of the ice machines did not work. Considering the price, it wasn't too bad.

The ceiling on the fourth floor was falling down and was being held up by a piece of wood. The railings were not safe for my young children. The elevator got stuck between floors. The bed had rusty sees to hold in the mattress and sharp too. The ice machines on all floors were empty 24 hours a day on 100 degree days. Definitely needs work..

Bad service, really bad service. The front deck person gave me an attitude when I asked her if i can get the room next to my friend. elevator and ice manchine were not working either.

Well I learned my lesson...sometimes saving money is not worth it. We arrived at 12:30 at night went to the gas station to buy a bag of ice which we had to buy through a glass window b/c the place was locked down for safety I assume. The same thing checking in...had to do it through glass. The room was deirty, bedspeads had cigarette burns in them, […] the ice bucket was filthy with no plastic bag, and then to top off the night we heard gunshots very close by. I don't reccomend staying here to anyone. Mehr

My husband and I were surprised when we pulled up and the hotel didn't look anything like the picture. The picture on the website did the hotel some justice. The neighborbhood was ruff looking and the building could use some work on the outside. They wanted us to use the same towels over, but of course I requested fresh wash cloths and towels every […] day that I stayed. The bathroom commode continued to run, and the coffee pot was not cleaned after my husband made coffee. There were no kleneex put in our room after we used them. The breakfast was pretty good. My husband and I didn't want to leave our laptops in the room when we went out, so took them with us, because we felt like someone would come off the street and break into our room. I would not recommend this hotel, it sits back from the road and there are a lot of strange people around the hotel. Mehr
