Days Inn Historic District - Charleston

Das einzige was an dem Hotel super war ist das es sehr zentral gelegen ist. Zimmer wurde nicht richtig sauber gemacht die ganze hotelanlage würde eine grunderneuerung brauchen würde nie wieder in das Hotel sondern mir ein anderes in der Meetingtreet suchen.

Das Beste am Days Inn ist sicherlich die Lage. Zentraler kann man in Charleston kaum wohnen. Dennoch ist es erstaunlich ruhig im Zimmer. Parken ist gratis, sehr gutes Frühstück gibt es im angeschlossenen Restaurant gegen Gebühr Alle Top Attraktionen in Charleston liegen praktisch vor der Tür und man braucht kein Auto. Guter Pool Schattenseiten: Es ist […] ein typisches Motel, die Zimmer sind hier aber recht klein und dunkel, die Möbel sind extrem abgenutzt und dreckig, der Teppich jetzt eher schwarz als das ursprüngliche grün. (Und wir sind wirklich nicht pingelig) Die Betten hingegen sind sauber und gut. Fazit: Wenn die Zimmer nicht so abgewohnt wären, eine echte Perle in Charleston. I can warmly recomend this hotel. It is right in the historic center, within walking distance from all the sights in the center of town. The rooms are okay, although they look a bit old-fashioned. They have coffee-making facilities. The staff is very friendly and the pool refreshing. Apart from the usual sights, we can recommend the indoor market.

Dieses Hotel hätten wir am liebsten auf der Stelle wieder verlassen. Der Parkplatz war so überfüllt, dass wir in einem nahegelegenen Parkhaus parken mussten. Das Zimmer war dunkel und von einem unbeschreiblichen Gestank erfüllt. In Ermangelung an Alternativen blieb uns jedoch nichts anderes übrig als trotzdem dort zu bernachten. Allerdings haben wir […] ernsthaft in Erwägung gezogen, stattdessen einfach im Auto zu schlafen. Für die zweite Nacht konnten wir dann in ein Nichtraucherzimmer umziehen. Darin roch es dann nach chemischen Reinigungsmitteln, was schon ein gewaltiger Fortschritt war. ICh würde niemandem empfehlen, in diesem Hotel zu wohnen. Wie wir später von der Managerin erfahren haben, gibt Hotels.com ausschließlich Raucherzimmer an das Days Inn Historic District. Leider ist das bei der Onlinebuchung nicht klar ersichtlich. Die 2 Übernachtungen waren für uns Teil einer Rundreise von Miami bis nach New York. Wir würden generell immer empfehlen, sich eher etwas außerhalb einzuquartieren und dafür was das Hotel angeht auf Nummer sicher zu gehen. Denn Hotels in den Innenstädten sind oft wahnsinnig teuer (und alle günstigen Innenstadt-Varianten eben häufig ein totaler Reinfall). Mehr

my tv ang refigerator did not work . also some one from the front desk called us at 730 saterday morning asking who switched us to that room and why . wehad no idea what she was even talking about. That was very unprofesionable and disturbing.

I know it's all about location, but the rate per night is too high for this motel. Old televisions, small rooms, no exhaust in bathroom, and the commode didn't flush unless you held the handle down. Overall, I would give this particular motel a "C".

The room was adequate but could have been much cleaner - didn't look as tho the edges/corners of the carpet had been cleaned in years.

We enjoyed our stay and the location was awesome.

No southern hospitality here. Only friendly person was the maintenance guy who helped us find a parking space. Both desk agents were unfriendly. Room was dingy looking. Can't say it was dirty so much but wallpaper was peeling and looked dirty. Location was great but the parking situation at this hotel is a bit of a nightmare.

The LOCATION of this hotel is TERRIFIC. Very easy to get to everything in downtown Charleston. Most other hotels in the area are much more expensive. The hotel is in need of updating. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly, however, when we asked for extra blankets they told us to go to the office, they would not bring them to the […] room. The staff was pleasant and the location was great. The convenience of the location balanced out the "dated" appearance of this 50's looking "Motel". Thoughtful Refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker in room. Not a room you would want to spend much time in with so much charm in Charleston.

It was a perfect location and the staff was extremely friendly and accommodating! I would love to stay there again!

Older hotel. A friend and I used it to sleep only. Excellent location as it is right in the middle of historic Charleston, right by Marker/East Bay and walking distance to everything downtown. If you're looking for lavish treatment at the hotel, forget it. If you're looking to walk anywhere in downtown Charleston, have free parking, not pay out the […] wazoo for your hotel, and have a place to sleep, this place is it. Mehr

All of historic Charleston, as well as great dining and shopping is an easy walk from the hotel. Rooms are clean and comfortable, but not fancy. All in all room was a good price for a great location.

This hotel has the best price and location of any hotel in Charleston. It could use some renovations, particularly to the bathrooms and plumbing. I would also suggest limiting guests to one car per room. But the staff were friendly, and the rooms were clean. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

The first night we had a cock roach run across the wall and killed it. Things were clean but everything was really worn out. Needs some remodeling.

Hotel was in a superb location right in the heart of Charleston near the market, battery, etc. It was not well-insulated, so we could hear all of the noises in the street all night long. Also, the room was very small--not good for a family to stay in.

I called on the day of check in and asked to see if our room might be ready early (this was 3:30pm) and the lady I spoke was extremely rude and said that there were no non-smoking rooms available for me. Had a cable TV problem. Desk was very uncooperative. It was eventually fixed but we remained unsatisfied

situated right in the heart of the historic district, perfect location for a visit to a perfect city. Woulf thoroughly recommend this motel.

Our stay here was quite adequate. Friendliness of all employees was very noticable and much appreciated.

Not pleased with the presence of cock roaches. Not sure if anything can be done but they are huge.

Hotel was in the process of renovating several rooms and many parking spaces were devoted to construction materials and storage for old furnishings. This required using a parking space that was an undesirable distance from our room.

hotel is in a great location however the place is a complete dump. My room was nasty. There was a screw in the bed, the sheets had not been cleaned. Stained and nasty. Hair pins in the bathroom. Bar of soap had already been used and there was some nasty liquid on the TV remote control. I will NEVER stay in this hotel again.

Filthy bathroom, black mold everywhere! Didn,t know Hotels. Com was associated with such terrible places. Beautiful place right next door. Also the restaurant associated with Days Inn was a dump! !!! Research Charleston, much nicer places available. We couldn't wait to leave. Looks nice from outside. BEWARE! !!!!!

I chose this hotel because they are pet friendly. But what they (or perhaps this website) fail to inform you is that ALL rooms for pets are SMOKING ROOMS, no question. The non-smoking rooms are allergen free. So even though I paid for a King Non-smoking room and my special request was that I had 2 dogs, I had to use the smoking room. And I couldn't […] get a credit because I already paid for it online. Plus you pay $15 per pet, which would have been OK, except I had to be in a smoking room. Check in is at 4PM, no exceptions. There was a gentleman ahead of me that arrived at 230p and his room was not ready at 415pm when I got mine. Mehr

overall it was a pleasant stay. I think they need to fix there tv service. ITS TERRIBLE. very snowy. They need more than one tiny mirror in the place and a few more outlets. Otherwise its a good place to stay. Centrally located with parking. Very good thing to have.

Location is nothing short of outstanding, right in the middle of the historic district, within easy walking of major sites. As parking in C'town is AWFUL, being able to walk about from the motel is key. The facility is nothing fancy, traditional motel, with my auto parked just outside my door. Room was spartan, but completely adequate and clean, as […] well as quiet. Check in was pleasant. Restaurant "Toast" serves decent breakfast, serves as a somewhat fun dive bar in the evenings. we were happy with the location and the staff was very nice to us...but the room REALLY NEEDED A GOOD CLEANING! The things like the fan cover in the bath and dirty grout and baseboards. A few hours of deep cleaning would take the room from a 2star to a 4star. Management I hope you are reading this!

we were very disappointed in this hotel other than the location. There was no parking when we got there and so we had to go to a nearby garage and was told we would be reimbursed for one night only. The room was a bit dingy and we couldnt take a shower because the water spit out intermittent shots of scalding or ice cold. we complained and was told […] it was because too many people were taking a shower. Very pleasant and comfy room; could use renovations in regards to wall paper/paint but that was not a concern to me. It was very quiet and peaceful and the bed was super comfy.

You can't beat the price and location of this hotel and the free parking is a plus as well. It was rather run down and drab. However, the reception staff was helpful and responsive when we needed assistance.
