The room was in need of repair. Hole in wall in bathroom; tub obviously had been patch repaired. Insufficient lighting in room. Wallpaper peeling in room and obvious patch work done. Did not receive certificates for breakfast which were paid for in advance.

During check-in, I was told that the hotel room was booked through expedia.com whenit was actually booked through hotels.com Secondly I had taken breakfast package and I was told that I had not taken any breakfast option. I had to literally show them the online reservation from my laptop to convince them to give me breakfast coupons. Very pathetic […] experience. How dumb can they be if they cannot identify a reservation. There were no toothbrush n toothpaste. Had to call them many times just to get them. Mehr

Upon arrival, we were told that the room we had reserved (2 queen beds) was not available because the hotel was overbooked. Since it was evening already, we took what was available: a king and a sofa bed. This was disappointing, because I felt that a promise (the reservation) had not been kept. Also, the hotel staff had to scurry to find us a lugguage […] cart not only when we arrived, but also when we were leaving. We ended up with no cart to leave because only TWO carts are at that hotel...with all those rooms... The staff was fine, but not really anxious to make us feel welcome or comfortable. In the breakfast room, we were told it would take 10 minutes to get a Belgian waffle...but there were only a few tables occupied... I wish I could write a better review... Mehr

Very nice hotel and room. It looks so quaint from the outside, yet updated on the inside. Staff was friendly. The hotel is within walking distance to Vinings Jubilee which was great for dining choices. The only bad part was parking was tough to find a spot. Very busy hotel. We parked in the lower lot under the trees and my car was covered in pitch. […] (hard on the finish). The room was clean and comfortable. The fridge, and couch are a nice touch. Air did not work very well, it was hot and the room never got below 73. All in all, great value. Mehr

The young man that appeared to be in charge of the front desk was rude and condescending. Clearly had a problem with booking done with hotels.com or expedia as he referred to it. Owning and operatinga successful retail business and having worked with the public for the last 27 year, I am flabbergasted when I encounter such utter disregard for common […] courtesy and customer service. It is sad that staff at this Marriot do not understand that the customer are the reason they have a job in especially in this economic climate. Mehr

This hotel is decent in appearence but the rooms need major updating. The AC unit makes horrible noise that wakes you up. The sheets are paper thin and not comfortable. In my specific case, I found an empty bullet shell casing under the sheets. Not worth the rate this property charged and definitely below Marriott brand standards.

A truly beautiful hotel interior and exterior with gracious and friendly staff

I don't have any complaints about this hotel. For the price, it was excellent. The bed was comfortable, the shower was great with great water pressure, the property was well-kept, and the location was not far at all from downtown Atlanta. We slept in both mornings we were there, and the first night, I remembered to put the "do not disturb" sign on the […] door. The second night (check-out day), we did not put it out, and room service came by to clean the room at 9 am. We thought that was odd especially since we were checking out that day at noon. That was the only thing that stuck out to us, but it can easily be overlooked. A friend who lives in Atlanta referred us to this hotel, and I highly recommend it to others. I'm now a fan of the Courtyard by Marriott hotels. Mehr

We stayed at this hotel as our half way point as we traveled to Orlando from Memphis. The staff,and the location were both great. Will I stay there again? Of course, when we travel back home it is on Our To Do List. June 2010

the staff was very friendly, our heat didnt work in or room the first night i called front desk some was there in 10 mins and in 20 mins they had us moved to another room with a complimentary coupon to the breakfast buffet. room service was quick and good.close to cumberland mall & preimeter mall.if ever in the area again i will most defintely stay […] there again! I wanted to like this hotel. It has a lot of charm and sits in a very upscale neighborhood. However, my second visit was just as disappointing as the first. A year ago I checked in during a conference in Atlanta and they had just renovated the place so I ended up changing rooms twice due to door lock issues (I expected a few kinks). My family and I […] decided to stay here on our way down to Daytona this year and had to change rooms because the air conditioning was out on the fourth floor. So as much as I would like to stay here again, I've had two bad experiences now and can't justify staying here again. I'll give another place a shot. Mehr

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. Fairly new, relatively inexpensive, convenient to the interstates and everything in Atlanta (as much as anything in Atlanta can be convenient). The staff was pleasant and prepared, the rooms were clean. Two complaints: shower heads are too low and the pool is only three feet deep. What's up with that? my family and i went to a family reunion in Atlanta and stay at The Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Vinings. it was better than i expected. room was very clean, beds were very comfortable and there was plenty of parking. staff was very friendly. my only complaint was that i couldnt stay longer.

This was the freshest smelling hotel we've stayed in in a long time. The room a/c was on when we opened the door -- so no musty room smell. Very clean and comfortable. Great price too!

We were pleasingly surprised with the hotel. The hotel renovations that were completed a few years ago, made this hotel great for the price that we paid. We have two children who enjoyed the pool immensely. It was 10 minutes from the World of Coca Cola, the Sea Aquarium, and 6 flags. The Hotel was amazing for the price we paid. We were close enough to downtown to enjoy it but far enough away to avoid the hassel. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The front desk staff was very helpful as well. The only thing we didnt like was the Bartender didnt seem to know how to make common drinks correctly.

We visited family in Atlanta and moved from another hotel to Vinings due to cleaniness issues. It was the right choice. Very fresh. The A/C was running when we opened door so the room air was fresh and comfortable.

I consider this hotel one of the best values I have ever gotten. Rooms were spotless and I hated to leave when check out time drew near. The only complaints I have is the breakfast buffet was a little steep in price and the pool was only three feet deep. These are minor complaints considering the wonderful value of this place. Can't wait to return.

This was my first visit to Atlanta, we took this kids to Six Flags which was only about ten minutes away. This was the nicest hotel I have stayed in, I would definetely stay here again. The hotel and the rooms are clean, the pool was nice, the beds will put you in a coma and the staff was friendly. Great value for an unbelieveably nice room. Very clean and located within walking distance to several eateries. Nice and safe part of town in a beautiful area! Close to i75 and 285. Great breakfast so get the rm with breakfast!!
