Das Mediterranean Inn liegt etwas außerhalb des Zentrums Seattles in der Nähe des Seattle Centers (mit Space Needle). Es ist bequem per Bus (tageszeitabhängiger Preis zwischen $2,25 und $2,50) zu erreichen. Gleich nebenan ist ein Starbucks, dessen Kaffeeduft in die Lobby des Hotels zieht. Unser Zimmer war mit einer Mikrowelle, Spüle und einem Kühlschrank sowie großen Flachbildschirm ausgestattet. Leider hatte es keinen Safe, was aber nicht schlimm war. Das Bad war sauber und groß. Leider ohne Fenster. Der Ausblick aus dem Zimmer ging in den Innenhof des Hotels. Schade aber nicht so schlimm, denn die Dachterrasse des Hotels erlaubt einen Blick über Seattle. Die Angestellten des Hotels machten einen netten und hilfsbereiten Eindruck und haben uns auch um 4 Uhr morgens bei unsere Abreise geholfen. Das Hotel verfügt über WLAN und ein Business Center. Das WLAN ist für $5 pro Tag nutzbar und kann mit einem Fahrradausleihprogramm (in Summe $7,99) kombiniert werden. Im Sommer bestimmt sehr sinnvoll. Das Business Center ist kostenlos nutzbar (ebenso wie die Drucker und Faxgeräte darin). Außerdem verfügt das Hotel über einen Fitnessraum und diverse Münzwaschmaschinen und Trockner). Noch etwas zur Umgebung. In unmittelbarer Nähe (3-5 min zu Fuß) sind diverse Restaurants, Kneipen und auch ein Kino. Ebenso wie ein Safeway Supermarkt.

Komfortable großzügige Zimmer, unseres mit komplett eingerichteter Küche. Sehr gutes Frühstücksbuffet mit Obst, Joghurt, Müsli etc. Minishop und ebenfalls ein kleiner Starbucks sind auch im Hotel vorhanden. Die Lage ist der einzige Minuspunkt für uns gewesen, da sehr weit vom Innenstadtbereich entfernt (zu Fuß ca. 25 Minuten). Ebenfalls direkt an der Interstate gelegen, somit 24 Stunden die Autos zu hören.

Die Klimaanlage in dem Zimmer musste den ganzen heizen, damit es abends nicht zu kalt wird. Das Bad wurde gar nicht von der Wärme gar nicht betroffen und war entsprechend frisch.
Lage
Sorrento Hotel liegt in Seattle in der Nähe von Saint James Cathedral, Washington State Convention & Trade Center und Columbia Center. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Pike Place Market und Space Needle.
Ausstattung
Sorrento Hotel bietet Ihnen Folgendes: Fitnessstudio und Fitnessstudio (rund um die Uhr geöffnet). Ein kostenloser W-LAN Internetzugang steht in den öffentlichen Bereichen zur Verfügung. Geschäftsreisenden wird in diesem 4-Sterne-Haus Folgendes angeboten: Businesscenter (rund um die Uhr geöffnet), Konferenzraum und Limousinenservice. Die Innenstadt von Seattle erstreckt sich entlang des Puget Sound vom historischen Pioneer Square im Süden bis zum schicken Belltown im Norden. Dazwischen reihen sich Bürogebäude, Einkaufsgalerien und Apartments in Backsteinhäusern an den grünen Boulevards aneinander. Hier befinden sich das Kongresszentrum und Pike Place Market, wo Lachse fliegen können. Gäste sollten auch unbedingt die futuristische öffentliche Hauptbibliothek besuchen. Die Zwillingsstadien Seattles und der International District liegen südlich von der Innenstadt.

Das Hotel liegt sehr günstig, wenn man auch etwas auf uns ab muss, um nach Downtown zu gelangen. Nette Atmosphäre und schöne Zimmer. Der Fitnessraum ist sehr gut ausgestattet, ebenso ein Plus ist das Busines Center mit Drucker. Was allerdings gar nicht geht ist das Parken: Overnight Parking 32 DOLLAR pro Nacht, das ist unverschämt, da die Innenstadt-Parkhäuser […] in der Umgebung alle max. 24 $ pro nacht nehmen. Also möchte das Hotel noch am Parken mitverdienen, das ist kein Service, sondern bei den vergleichsweise hohen Zimmerpreisen einfach nicht in Ordnung. Nicht verständlich sind auch die hohen Kosten an der Bar. Das ist das erste Hotel, bei dem das Bier fast doppelt so teuer an der Bar wie in der Zimmer-Minibar ist. Was das für eine Hotelpolitik sein soll, verstehe ich überhaupt nicht. Abgesehen von den beiden angesprochenen Punkten, die man bei vorherigem Wissen ja umgehen kann, ist das eine gute Wahl! Frühstücken kann man gegenüber in dem Kaffee übrigens gleich gut für halbes Geld... Mehr

Ein Hotel mit Stil, nicht designer-geprägt, sondern mit echter Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Zuvorkommendes Personal, absolut aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Sorrento-Suite, eigentlich eine kleine Wohnung, äußerst geschmackvoll eingerichtet, ruhig, bequem und dazu der hervorragende Room Service: Dinner und Breakfast ein Genuss. "In the heart of Downtown"
Very nice Hotel with old world charm. Has great, historical architecture and very nice rooms. A tiny bit musty though. Very good rates and a handy shuttle service around the many hilly streets.

"Close to Harborview Hospital"
I stayed there the night before an early appointment since I was coming from out of town. The customer service was impeccable. The bed was incredibly comfortable and warm. I highly recommend this hotel. Room service was fast- albeit expensive- and delicious. Parking is expensive downtown Seattle, but their rates are less than the rates at other hotels. […] I used the courtesy car to get to and from my appointment and I was very impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the driver. In fact, I will be staying there again very soon. Mehr
"Lovely, old-fashioned and yes--romantic!"
Convenient to downtown and train station. Attentive and sweet staff. Loved my beautiful, comfy bed and bath!! Comfortable, inviting common areas, lots of warm old woodwork, charming old fashioned architecture and decor.

All was very good, but the valet parking is nearly $40 a day - a little rich. Park across the street in a pay lot.
"Anniversary at The Sorrento - Seattle"
We arrived early evening. After getting settled we went down to listen to a little jazz and then into The Hunt Club. The dinner was just right for out pocket book and mood. The architecture of the hotel captured a time gone by. To top it off they had The Temptress silent movie playing in the bar. "Mostly good, a few glitches"
Comfy bed! Great food, but poor service in the restaurant. Bartender was excellent. No fan or window in bathroom. No hot water, only warm : ( Beautiful old building and walking distance to downtown.
"Perfect Weekend Getaway for country folks"
We only live 25 miles away in rural Snohomish but wanted to have a city weekend. The suite we were in was luxurious, clean and quiet. The musical entertainment was superb. We enjoyed walking to the market, spending a day at SAM's Gaughin exhibit, and a fabulous dinner at La Fontana. We plan to make this at least an annual event.

"Timeless Charm"
I enjoyed this hotel. I read the reviews,a nd saw the comment about one elevator, but I did not experience delays. The people were all very friendly and helpful, including housekeeping, doormen, reception and restaurant staff. This hotel also has a nice workout facility.

When I was stay in this hotel in Seattle, very terrible is shower, first, no hot water, called to front desk , they answered , it needs let the water run 5 minutes , because of old pipe,ok, I did, then hot water came out, but just a few moment , it turned cold, then turned very hot again , anyway , I showered under very difficult situation, well, hotel […] not bad, but must improve this. The staff at the Sorrento was fabulous. They were all very accommodating and made us feel like "special guests". Of course the Sorrento architecture is wonderful and the fireplace room is very cozy. Thanks for a great experience!

Generally we were satisfied with the hotel but not the food it was marginal, great presantation but marginal taste. The staff was excellent!
Leisurely relaxation and comfort on those great pillows. Coffee was very good. Please provide an ice bucket so we might obtain our own ice. Glasses provided are too small! Gorgeous old hotel. Did I mention old? One elevator for the whole building. Tiny rooms. Tiny bathrooms. But it's historic and in a neat location. Just be sure this is what you want. Great food.

From the moment we stepped into the Sorrento, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Our room was excellent and we were upgraded for small fee (in comparison to what the room cost). The room was excellent, the bathroom was marble from floor to ceiling and had a light, clean chlorine smell. The bed was very comfortable, and the flat screen televisions […] have an ample viewing selection. We went down to the fire room and had tea. The tea service is a bit pricy but comes with various delicious snacks. There was a holiday pianist playing, adding to an already great ambiance. We had dinner at the Hunt club. We were staying for our 1 year anniversary and the staff gave us a complimentary glass of champagne as well as excellent service. The food was very good, a bit over-seasoned, but otherwise great. It was fairly priced. I will certantly return to the Sorrento, it definetly delivered! Mehr

We only got to stay at the Sorrento for one night, but it was by far one of the best Hotel experiences I have had. The bed was so soft and fluffy, as were the towels and sheets... The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful for a morning walk. It was great! I'd stay there again!!

This is a lovely hotel with early 20th Century roots and decor - dark wooden paneling and deep upholstered furniture. It's close to Swedish Hospital/Virginia Mason Medical Center and not far from the center of Seattle. The rooms are large and well appointed. The staff were friendly and helpful. Me and my boyfriend chose to stay here and we couldn't have chosen a better hotel. the staff was very friendly, and the room was amazing! the beds were extremely comfortable, the bathrooms although a bit small were clean and looked great! i couldn't ask for anything more.

This hotel location was not as i expected. It is not in downtown. I got to the hotel at noon and had to wait more than an hour to get my room while I noticed they were giving rooms to other customers. Once i complained then i got my room. Although they claim to be in downtown, but it is not and I was not offered their complementary shuttle to downtown […] either. I have stayed in other four star hotels in downtown much much better than Sorrento Hotel. Mehr

The hotel is filled with 1920s or 30s touches, but presented and maintained in an update manner. The hotel is also very convenient to I-5 and the Convention Center area.

Somewhat pricey but very nice hotel. Very kind and helpful staff. Section of town is not particularly nice but location is convenient to all sites. Parking overnight at hotel is ridiculously expensive. There is available parking on the street, just be careful about the signs and the meters.

My husband and I needed a quick but relaxing getaway while visiting Seattle, and the Sorrento Hotel was perfect. We enjoyed a spacious suite with views of the Sound, located in a lovely neighborhood. The staff was very friendly; I would certainly return!

Lovely old hotel with stunning woodward features. Excellent service from front desk, concierge and housekeeping. Enjoyed the complimentary town car service for downtown Seattle. A definite retrun hotel.

My husband and I took our young children to Seattle for a few days to explore the city for a potential career move. Our stay in the Sorrento was the ideal backdrop to a whirlwind trip. The staff was incredibly hospitable; the food was good; the hotel room beautiful and quiet; and we were able to walk into downtown (the library, the Market, etc. etc.) […] easily. We will most certainly stay there again. And if we do move to Seattle, we will put our guests in the Sorrento as well, as a treat for them.
