Stayed here a few times. its always clean and the staff is top notch. close enough to all the action on the riverwalk to feel the livelihood of the area, yet its still far enough away that it doesn't feel like party central.

room was cozy. perfect location. middle of everything popular. wonderful staff.

Very enjoyable.

Hallways were hot. Elevators were hot. When turning the air all the way down to 60 degrees, it was definately cooler but not cold. It seemed more like low 70s. Waited a long time to get vehicles from valet.

It was okay, arrived for check in at 4:00 and my room still wasn't ready. Had a king suite river walk side thought room would be more impressive. Should have parked across the street in parking structure right away!!

Great for an action packed getaway. not so good if you want peace and quite. The streets are noisy well into the wee hours. Staff really helpful when the trip had to be cut short.

Hotel is situated near our favorite restaurants. Beds were very comfortable & kids loved the surprise of cookies and milk waiting when we returned from dinner. The courtyard was very nice & mariachis were playing Friday night. The valet service was very prompt-we never waited more than 5 minutes for our car. The best part was the great hotels.com r […] ate! Hotel stay was decent. Tiny pool area. Housekeeping was poor... came at random times (early morning, late afternoon), beds were never made during 3-night stay. Had to ask for clean towels.

Nice enough hotel on the Riverwalk. Very very nice location. HOWEVER, we requested a balcony overlooking the river....told at check-in that all of those rooms go to people that book DIRECTLY with the hotel first. Bummer. Room was nice, but no fridge and no microwave. Bathroom was small, but manageable. For the price per night for St. Patrick's Day...I […] felt it was WAY overpriced. From the time we pulled in to the time we pulled out, everything at La Mansion del Rio was top notch. The river view rooms are worth the extra dollars!!!

I think hotel was in a great location at the end of the riverwalk with easy access to everything. The bed was very comfortable - 1st time in a long time I woke up without back pain from a hotel bed. The only complaint I have is our room was along a street directly across from a public parking garage so all night long I heard yelling and honking from […] the garage plus the street traffic. Could be it was bad due to it being a holiday weekend - might be better at another time of year. Aside from the noise, the hotel location was great and the staff was very welcoming. Mehr

It took a lil while for the bellman to get our bags during checkout but they were really busy.

Excellent. Only pick would be parking. Valet works very hard, but still took a while to get car.

We have no complaints. We are pretty picky and were 100% satisfied!!!!!!

Everyone you are paying tourist prices for just location!! Other than the proximatey to the river walk this hotel is not worth the price and I will never stay here again. See my pros and cons list... The view from our balcony was beautiful. Perfect location right in the heart of everything. The food in the restaurant was excellent as well as the wait staff. Our room was nice and clean, although just a tad bit small. We will definately stay here again.

Great location. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms were a little small but that's to be expected at an older hotel. That said, the upkeep of the hotel was awesome. Will stay here again.

When my husband and I arrived at the hotel, we had high expectations because of the pictures and reviews that were posted. We were greeted with a very friendly valet, however the valet parking was $32 a night. The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful. When we arrived in our room, it was not how we thought it would look given the pictures we saw […] online. Our first night there, the air conditioner did not work properly and we both sweat all night long. The bed is very uncomfortable. The walls are thin, we could hear the phone ringing in the neighbors room throughout the night and the other neighbors television. The lounge/bar was very nice, however, when I ordered a drink that required the bartender to walk to the restaurant to get ice cream, he told me I didn't want that drink and waited to see if I would order a drink that didn't require him to have to go get ice cream. The location is wonderful, right on the Riverwalk...this would be the only plus to this hotel. Even though the location is wonderful, we will never pay that much money to stay at this hotel again. I have stayed at La Mansion several times over the last 20 years, and the rooms are always clean, comfortable, and welcoming. The staff was cheerful and helpful (not pretentious or too busy). GREAT location on the Riverwalk, close to restaurants, etc, but not in the midst of the noise. You can enjoy a quiet morning cup of coffee in a quaint courtyard […] of the hotel.The hallway furnishings need some replacing, but otherwise the hotel continues to maintain its elegance. Mehr

We couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our Christmas holiday. Relaxing and festive! The staff was so helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic being so close to shopping, a variety of eating places and, of course, the river.

The La Mansion is a beautiful, well-staffed hotel with fabulous amenities in one of the most lovely locations in Texas.

$15.00 hot chocolate. Bad directions could go on. Easier to say staff nice would never go again

This is our second year to visit this hotel for the holidays. The hotel and staff are wonderful. The river is amazing decorated in its' holiday best. Simply a great weekend to frame the holiday spirit. A very unique holiday experience.....one worth repeating again and again.

Nice stay, nice hotel. Enjoyed most all of it. However the room was not ready until 4:00. Knew that would happen from reading earlier reviews. Just a little to pricey for the package and I don't like the practice of adding things to my credit card after I leave. Don't care that the charges are legit or not. Not a good buisness practice.

The street noise was a little distracting so in the future if i choose your hotel again i will request a room on the riverwalk. I was very disappointed with your valet service, they brought my truck to me and the hood was covered with bird droppings so for that reason i will never trust them to valet park for me so that may sway my decision to stay […] with you in the future. The hotel staff was great. I mentioned it was my husband's bday and they brought up a piece of cake and a bday card signed by the staff. I never requested it, they just anticipated it :) The room was very small with only one chair in it, but the balcony had additional chairs.

The hotel is very old and has a bit of a musty smell. Our room was very small. We barely had walking room between the bed and the dresser and my husband and I are small people. The bathroom was clean and updated, but also very small. The location was nice, but I prefer a more updated hotel. A great hotel is you like historic buildiings.

We had a wonderful time staying at the Omni. The people that worked here were all wonderful and gave great advice on places to eat and go out. I would stay here time and time again.

We had an excellent three day stay in late October. The thing that separates this hotel from other deluxe hotels is the warm, courteous and efficient service that seems utterly genuine

I had read the reviews before I booked the hotel so they mentioned alot of noise. I found the hotel to be a tremendous location,great for Breakfast, service was great. The concierge service was very helpful about restaurants,tours etc. nice pool area.We walked everywhere and felt safe in the neighborhood and riverwalk.Ther was no noise factor but we […] stayed in Oct .I would come back and stay here again Mehr

Hotel building is very old but very clean and comfortable. The backyard is the Riverwalk.
