Nice and comfortable stay! Definitely would stay again. Great service from the lady during check in. Free parking, swimming pool, spa and work out facility all available. Bonus was the kitchen in our room that wasn't expected!

Stayed at this hotel so I could fly out of SFO first thing in the morning. Hotel is good enough quality for a business trip.

Hotel was very nice for the price. Good continental breakfast. Hotel shuttle late at night (10:30 pm) is not very prompt. We waited 1 hour for the shuttle that was scheduled to run every half hour until midnight. It was very cold since we were still dressed as coming from a vacation in the Caribbean.

I liked the hotel quality and personnel. Helpful and friendly. I found the transportation shuttle availability to be horrible, having to wait 55 and 30 minutes respectively after calls to hotel. Shared with other hotels. Several other shuttles passed multiple times before ours. 1 mile (20 min. walk) to Millbrae train/ BART station for 20 minute ride […] to SF. Even closer is Fairfield Hotel Millbrae nearly next to station and then Best Western. Many restaurant and store selections in primarily Korean neighborhood. Mehr

Room was great. Lots of amenities and clean. Couldn't ask for better. Shuttle service to/from SFO is not regularly run. You need to contact desk for shuttle upon arrival and reserve departure at desk as well. Complimentary breakfast much appreciated.

I stayed in a kitchenette room, and it had a separate kitchen! It was a nicely decorated room, quite comfortable. I was very happy with the room.

As a woman traveling alone, I appreciate the staff being mindful of my safety. I arrived at the hotel late and appreciated that the front desk called when I got to my room to make sure everything was OK. Very nice.

This hotel was just right for the weekend. My wife and I went up to Norcal for the game and this hotel location was just the right distance from Candlestick. The hotel is a bit old, the carpeting in our room needs changing but overall it was comfortable. The showers were nice and remodeled, but the water pressure was a little weak. The free breakfast […] is nothing to talk about unless you like cereal and muffins for breakfast, but it was FREE. I think I would spend a little more next time just to have a hotel that's a newer and cleaner. I would only reccommend this place if you are really trying to find someplace cheap. Mehr

The hotel was as expected. The staff were very kind and accommodating. The only downfall was the Shuttle service from airport to hotel. They use a third party company and took their time picking up customers. When I arrived at the airport the front desk said it was only going to take 15 mins. We stayed in the room with the kitchenette. Room was very nice and roomy. Kitchen area had full size appliances but did not have the cooking accessories needed to fix anything. You would need to bring your own. I did not think about asking the front desk person if they had these items available. I will say the heater worked well, and the beds seemed clean. Also, the room was pretty quiet. The bad things about the room were the facts that the carpet was way overdue for a cleaning and I found four hairs in the bathtub, two of which did not come from someone's head. We were looking forward to sleeping in as late as we wanted. It was a shock when the maid came knocking on our door at 10:30am, despite the fact that we had hung the "Do Not Disturb" sign. She said, "Oh! So sorry! You haven't checked out!?" Hey, Lady! Make sure you know which rooms have check out before you start knocking on doors. I just gave her a dirty look and no tip. Then it seemed like the maids were trying to smoke us out because they started talking on their walkie-talkies really loudly just outside our room. I was moving from different state to CA, was looking for something close to BART, decently priced, and with a Kitchen. Initially was little skeptical . But it all changed after 9days of stay. Staf is friendly, easy going and polite. Breakfast is good. Room was excellent. Maid was "amazing", he/she was even cleaning my vessels. Every evening I come back, […] room was in perfect condition. We checked in around 9:00pm. The lady at the front desk was nice. Our 2 rooms were ready, but they were not next to each other. We asked if they could change them. The lady said most rooms were booked and couldn't help (not her fault). She explained we booked the 2 rooms under different names although in one transaction. That might be the reason. The […] building is old. Rooms are clean. The mattress is fairly new. I didn't hear any noise from outside. The surrounding area is OK. The only problem we had is the breakfast room - too small. People had to wait to get food. Many people took food to their rooms. In general, it is OK considering the price, but it is not as good as other La Quinta. Mehr

My room wise nice and clean even had a flat screeen TV,But wireless Internet was VERY slow and small underground parking was full and hard to park outside !!!

great hotel - great location. Close to SFO

Hotel did not recognize daylight savings time so breakfast was not available when we went to eat on Sunday, 11-6. Told employee that they were working off a clock with the wrong time and to change clocks back an hour. Room did not have a clean feel. Carpet behind doors was dusty and had not been vacumned in a while. Dingy room. Towels frayed. Microwave […] did not work. When checked in, 2 young ladies at the desk. Wow, this was a great hotel to stay in, I definitely recommend it. The room had new decorations, and included a Jacuzzi tub and marble all over. There was a digital thermostat, which is a great change from the usual 'heat', 'cool', and 'max fan' buttons you usually get. This might be a turnoff for some, but the bathroom actually has a window that lets […] you watch TV from the tub! The blinds are sadly controlled from the bedroom side of the window, though. As usual, the La Quinta-standard linens were so comfortable I had a hard time getting out of bed in the morning. Good breakfast, with a good variety. The pool looks like it would be nice in the summer. Cons - the parking ramp was kind of a nightmare for me, I was driving a pickup with contractor boxes, and the spots that would have been easy to park in were already taken by other truck/SUV drivers. The hotel is kind of far from an entrance to Highway 101, but there is an airport shuttle for people needing to use it. Other cons? Uhh, the hot/cold on the shower was a little sensitive and I had a hard time getting the temp right. Mehr

The outside looked a bit shabby, but it was a nice hotel for the money. Convenient to the airport. Breakfast was great. Nice little hotel.

Very affordable rates, courteous staff decent room with plenty of amenities and free parking . The neighborhood is family friendly with walgreens, Ihops and other good store outlets around.

Hotel was clean. Room was comfotable and bed was very comfortable. Jacuzzi was broken, but shower was big and bathroom was clean. Asked the receptionist to put us away from the street, which she didn't but road was not too noisy. Good value and would stay there again. Close to the airport.

We stayed for two nights in one of the ground floor rooms. Overall, the hotel is in fair condition, rooms were clean, and although the property is located right on a busy thoroughfare, there was little noise from passing traffic. The parking is conveniently located right beneath the property. The reception staff was friendly and check-in was fast and […] easy. On the negative side, if you are a light sleeper then you might not like the noise level. Activity starts early, probably because there are a lot of people staying at the hotel who need to catch early flights. We could hear our neighbors talking fairly loudly through the wall the bed was placed against. We could also hear other sounds through the front door, which faces an outside walkway. Somehow, at 5AM a huge amount of noise is generated from wheeled luggage on concrete. Also, the cleaning staff communicates on loud and annoying walkie-talkies. Not conducive to sleeping in or taking a nap. Probably a lot of the sound came in through a fairly large gap underneath the door. This gap also lets a fair amount of cold air into the room. We solved this by putting a big duffel bag against the gap. I also didn't like the bed, which I thought was like sleeping on a trampoline, but my husband didn't mind it. In fairness, I slept much better the 2nd night than the 1st so even I can't say my gripes bothered me all the time. But they were enough that I may or may not stay at this property again. Mehr

I stayed one night prior to departing SFO the next morning. The room was large, very comfortable, and clean. The bed was excellent. The separate kitchen area was terrific, with faux granite countertops providing plenty of space and a microwave and mini-fridge. The in-room internet connection was fast. On the hotels.com page it appeared there was only […] internet in the common areas (lobby), so that was a pleasant surprise. The gym is a joke. It's very incomplete and the equipment is cheap. Other than the advertising bullet, why even spend money on low-quality equipment no one is going to use? Pool area looked ok (didn't use it) and the indoor jacuzzi was under repair. All in all, this hotel was great for a night's layover prior to catching a flight out of SFO. Beyond that, I wouldn't recommend it for a holiday destination. It's in a somewhat commercial district on a strip with access to basic restaurants and such, but not much else I saw in the immediate area. Mehr

This location was convenient and gets you out of the downtown area but still staying close to everything. I liked the fitness center and the sushi restaurant attached to the hotel. I wasn't impressed with breakfast. I also liked that I had a full kitchen in my room with large garden window. That was a plus!

When it seemed like every hotel told us they were booked up, we were relieved to finally get a room at La Quinta SFO West. We were not expecting much; Imagine our surprise and relief to actually like the hotel! The room was great with a full kitchen, lots of space, granite upgrades, and a comfy bed. We had booked this room to catch an early flight out of SFO. It is close to the airport and they have a 24 hour shuttle. This hotel is an old Comfort Inn that is being redone as a LaQuinta. While they have made it look nice in the lobby area and are doing alot of painting it still has a ways to go.The rooms and bathrooms have been upgraded and are nice. The […] breakfast is good and plentiful. There are several eating places near by ( a good one is the "Millbrae Pancake House").The people are nice, helpful and when we got sick and had to cancel our flight and stay another 2 days the owner was able to find us a room when we had been told by the front desk that there were no rooms available. The staff was nice to us and even checked to see if we needed anything. They found us some apples, oranges and yogurt when we had trouble eating anything ( and keeping it down). If we ever need a room near SFO we will certainly stay here. Mehr

The room was reasonably priced, well appointed and clean. Shower pressure was invigoratingWe had a 7am flight. from SFO so needed to be close by. The shuttle was within 5 minutes of requested pickup time.

VERY NICE FOLKS AT THE FRONT COUNTER, BREAKFAST WAS NICE, MY WIFE WAS COMFORTABLE AND THAT'S VERY IMPORTANT. WE HAD FUN AND SHOPPED AT THE NEAR BY STORES. THE WIFE LOVED THE STARBUCKS WITHIN OUR REACH.

Not expensive, close to airport and a Bart Station (never used it though). You get what you should get at the price I guess.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to SF. I didn't want to deal with the cost of parking in SF. 10-15min from SF. The hotel was slightly older but decent. No central air or heating - there was an air conditioner under the window. Free parking. There were many good and convenient restaurants in the area. The beds were a bit too soft but ok. No wifi […] was available but a wired connection was available. The front desk had spare network cables. The hotel was slightly far from the Airport. Nothing special but value is good for this hotel. The room wasn't exactly the right size for 5 people, but I want to commend that helpful staff at La Quinta for all their help. Everyone I dealt with was great, from the front desk clerk who happily dealt with my request for a cot (without charging me extra, by the way), to the handyman who delivered the cot and offered to help rearrange furniture to […] accommodate said cot, to the woman who ran the continental breakfast putting food out for us a full 45 minutes after the buffet closed.
