The worst part about the stay was the service. The concierge told me the pool does not open until sunrise, which was false. He also failed to mention it is aoutdoor pool. Anyone staying here, make sure you check your final bill, as they actually charged the credit card I gave them for incidentals for the room, completely disregarding the hotels.com […] reservation. Food at the restaurant was bad with the exception of the oatmeal. Mehr

This Hilton is located in the heart of Houston's famous Medical Center area but is also very close to Rice University and the Museum District. The various hospitals and clinics of the Medical Center area are just a short walk away but you'll need to drive to get to almost anything else. Overall, decent for the price. Sketchy surrounding neighborhood. No hair dryer although it specifies that they will supply one.

We made a reservation for shuttle at 7am. We waited till 7:06, still the driver was not there. We requested the front desk ladies to contact the driver. Finally they agreed to do so. The driver did not come until 7:15. There was no apologie.

Nice hotel. The rooms were really spacious and clean. There were some minor problems with check-in, other than that things went smoothly. Would definitely stay there again.

It seems that the higher end hotels (including this one) are following the trend of the airlines and charging for additional services or amenities that were formerly free. This hotel charges for overnight parking... Even thought there is an attached garage. I hate getting nickel and dimed for these services!

Clean, spacious rooms. We used the fitness center which was surprisingly clean and a good work-out.

Musty/mold smell from overly noisy AC system On 17th floor, no instant hot water in morning, needed to let run for several minutes Thin walls, can hear guests snoring next room bathroom retractable clothes line not working - I fixed it for them - you're welcome Hilton. Internet intermittant. Confirmed by several guests in elevator. Front desk kept saying […] there was no problem with the connection Pool was closed during posted opening hours Front desk staff could not handle booking problem with hotels.com. We came in one day late and entire week was cancelled although it was paid for - took over 15 minutes to resolve. Staff in general have very poor communication skills. Trying to order "sauce on the side" became a commedian sketch. Language barriers severe at this hotel. Free breakfast for Hilton Honors members is same quality as free breakfast you would find at any roadside motel. Mehr

Biggest issue with the place was that there was no shampoo in the bathroom. The halls were musty. Note that the room was good size but the sheets on the bed were a showing wear. Same with the hotel interiror. Place seemed dead mostly caters to the hospitals that are in a half-mile radius.

Great place to stay to get to St. Lukes or Baylor Clinic. Hotel staff very curteous and understands that many people that stay here have special needs and are seeing physicians in nearby Clinic or Medical Facilities. This is a necessity many times.

We arrived late at night...very confused on how to check in. It has a gate with an arrow pointing to parking in a garage. It was two of us, both females (my sister & I) and we got stuck in the garage. Some nice guy came to let us out. Then we realized after talking you have to park on street, check in, then go park, come back to front desk and go up […] to your room. It is extremely scary parking in a parking garage at midnight alone, especially if you are a woman and in a big city such as Houston. They should have security guards out there. It was completely empty. We got to our room which looks like it's vacant hotel. It is extremely outdated. The decorations, the bathrooms, everything. The complimentary shampoo & soap stunk and I had to go purchase new shampoo at the store because it did not clean good. The drinks & snacks in the fridge we didn't realize weren't complimentary (although you think they would be considering what we paid for this room!) and were charge $3-$5 per each water, coke, and snack. What a rip off. Also, no complimentary breakfast...again...you would think there would be considering the price. The people at front desk were very unfriendly...no smiles at all. The staff (maids, cooks, ect) were all super friendly and that is the only (ONLY) good thing about our stay. We will NEVER stay here again, and will not recommend it to anyone. Mehr

The driver took me everywhere and was very attnetive. Really enjoyed the stay. Only thing, could have explained in and out of garage . I was a little confused when going out for first time. Otherwise a great stay.

Built for extended stay in Medical Treatment, Large rooms, bedroom and full bath PLUS living room and half bath. Restaurant is fair, but the immediate area has limited offerings. Great deal for a family especially if visiting Rice University

Staff was extremely friendly and curteous. Could not ask for better service. Hotel was very clean and food was great. We so appreciate all they did for us during this stessful time for us.

The hotel is requiring rebuilding as it water is outflowing slowly in the toilet and bath sinks.Sort of smell of moisture/rodents from AC system - not disturbing but was unexpected in Hilton. Spots of rust in a kitchen sink.Weak paint on doors. No good free TV channels - nothing to watch. Perhaps strategy though to get the maximum from this asset... […] :) However city view from rooms is inspiring - however we had to ask staff for that - did not cause any misunderstanding though. Staff is very friendly, polite and helpful. Location was very good for us - only 5 minutes of drive from my business and park, quite neighbourhood. Minibar is expensive and breakfast on Sunday (no buffet) was expensive either. Large suites for low price are very good for family stay - especially for a week stay as we did. Despite negative first impression (are we too cheap?) we enjoyed stay in this hotel. Mehr

Comfortable hotel. Staff were welcoming and provided a good service. Very convenient for Rice University and Medical Centre.

The room was musty (but clean) and the food (no surprise) is overpriced. But, the hotel is very convenient to Rice Univ. and the Medical Center. It's also well maintained but the floors look a little dated. It's a good option if you don't mind overpaying a little for convenience.

Really nice hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. There were a few hairs on the tub ledge but other than that, very nice. The bed was really comfortable.

We always stay at the Houston Hilton- Medical Center when in Houston, and are always welcomed back warmly and treated very well.

I was very satisfied with my stay at the hilton medical center. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The staff is excellently helpful and friendly.

4-night stay 12/22 to 12/26/Houston Hilton/Med Ctr problems: 1) You advised me after checkin there would be no water from 11 pm until 5 am. 2) After that, the hot water did not work until we had someone repair it. 3) There was no hair dryer. 4) The bathroom electrical receptacle didn't work. 5) The tub drain needed a hammer to open/close the drain for […] the tub. The hotel room was great. We had a suite and it was spacious and clean. It was across the street from the medical center which is why we were there. My aunt arrived the next day and there was some miscommunication between the bell desk and the front desk and she ended up having to take a taxi instead of a scheduled pick up town car. Our room was nice in that it was large and had a good view. However, the show/tub faucet dripped, the tub did not drain, the bathroom mirror was not cleaned, and the maid did not come to make up the room until 4pm. the hotel charged us for three nights of parking which they did not tell us about when we checked-in. Very disappointing.

It was nice luxury hotel but a little dissapointing things were found: bathroom light was flickering. restaurants food was too salty and not the bes kind. noises from the room next to mine was quite big.

Bathrooms didn't have vent fan and smelled moldy. Electrical outlet near sink didn't work. Toilet wouldn't stop running unless I jiggled the heck out of the lever. I ended up with two twin beds instead of the single king that I wanted. There's no free parking at this hotel (add $12 day).

It has a shuttle to Baylor Medical College which was great....

The employees were extremely helpful and kind. I cannot possibly say enough nice things about them. The are definitely an asset to the hotel. The morning we checked in the two women at the front desk were very helpful and courteous; we were early and the young woman made sure my husband and I could check in before going to the hospital to check on my […] brother. Later than night, the gentleman at the desk gave us several restaurants to try (which were wonderful). The driver was courteous, caring, acccomadting, thoughtful,consdierate, polite, and always on time. But then all the above could be said about the employees I mentioned. I just wished I could remember their names (sorry). Thank you and your employees. The stay at your hotel made my visit with my brother (who died shortly afterwards), much more pleasant. Mehr

Nice hotel. The pool was the worst pool I have seen in any hotel. It had not been cleaned in a long time.

Everything was fine except that I was in a room with a door to the next room. The acoustics were so terrible that the guest in the next room, having a telephone conversation in what I assume was a normal voice, sounded like he was in the same room with me. I could make out every word.
