True for any hotel, but especially at the prices they charge and the reputation they profess, we were sorely disappointed at the cleanliness of the room. There was: used soap in the bathroom soap dish; both glasses in the bathroom were dirty; red staining (blood? cranberry juice? who knows?) on the toilet seat cover; already ice in the ice bucket with […] a carton of milk sitting in the ice. We had specified a late check-in, had been traveling since 5 am, and arrived at 11 pm, so we did not wish to wait for a room cleaning or room change at that hour and just went to bed. The next morning when I reported these items the front desk clerk offered a free cup of coffee. No, we won't stay there again. Mehr

All staff was courteous and helpful. I got stuck at a restaurant on Friday night and had waited over 1.5 hours for a Yellow Cab. I called the hotel and the main operator had me a cab to return to the hotel in 15 minutes

I love staying at Omni, however...this trip I was disappointed. I was in Austin for personal reasons and after checking in my room and putting my personal items in the room, I went and ran my errands. I was visiting my mom at the hospital at St. Davids. When I returned to discover a rollaway bed had been placed in my room, this disturbed me. I called […] the front desk and the girl told me she would send someone up right away to remove it. Well after an hour of waiting, I went to bed after an exhausting day. I didn't need that hugh thing in my room just sitting there reminding me that I was alone. No one ever came for the bed. I also don't like the idea that my things were in there unattended when whomever dropped the bed off in the first place. Not happy. Mehr

I live in Houston, was traveling to Austin for a wedding, and the Omni was conveniently located right off of 35 and 71. The hotel was clean and well-kept, staff was friendly enough, room was comfortable, and parking was easy. Overall recommend this Omni for a stay in Austin.

The location is easy to get too. The noise from the interstate next door is annoying. The customer Service more than made up for it. The room was very nice and neat.

We stayed here because all hotels on 6th street were booked and we were very happy with hotel and location. There was only a short cab ride to downtown. The restaurant on site is not good eat somewhere else but hotel is well maintained and pool and hot tub nice.

I have stayed in downtown Austin many times, but this was my first stay at the location south of Downtown. It was great! The area around the hotel is a little industrial, but free parking, a well-appointed room and friendly service more than make up for that. Our room was very spacious and the price was great. We went to Austin for a wedding and it was our first time in the city. All of our encounters with the staff were pleasant and accommodating. Our room was impeccably clean and our beds were out of this world comfortable. Our daughter could stream Netflix on her iPad for a nominal fee. Internet customer service was also very friendly. She also received […] a kid suitcase with an assortment of books and toys she really loved. The hotel restaurant has a terrific breakfast buffet and kids menu. The 24 hour indoor pool and Jacuzzi was an added bonus with unlimited clean towels. Our flight was scheduled three hours before check out and the hotel held our luggage while we tanned by the pool and got luch delivered to us there. We took the convenient shuttle to the airport afterwards. Only downside is that is not easy to get downtown if you don't have a car. The hotel is right by the highway so there isn't much of a view and it's not very but the wind blocks out most of the noise. All of that is minor though compared with the overall fabulous experience we had. We would definitely stay here again! Mehr

Everything was great but the room was right next to the freeway. We originally were on the 3rd floor but we asked for another room further away from the freeway. So they moved us to the 11th floor. But even then you could hear the traffic. But overall everything was great! I would go back in a heart beat.

This hotel is stellar because of its staff. The hotel is top notch to begin with but my wife contracted food poisoning at a local restaurant. When the hotel staff found out they began offering her everything they could from free hot soups, sprite, blankets, etc. . They helped us get through a rough night and day.

The hotel staff was very accomodating, but the room we stayed in smelled very smoky. They did offer to move us but we were in a hurry to get to our party and did not have time to move.

Good hotel, conveniently located South Austin, close to Airport, right at the intersection between I35 and BenWhite. Nice swiming pool. Maintenance needs to be improved in bathroom (problem in toilets not flushing properly, bath not draining). View of highway from room....

Unhappy that I paid for 8 full nights, informed the manager that our daughter would be staying in the room the last two nights as we had an emergency and had to leave early. Our daughter arrived @ 10:30 pm and her room key did not work. The hotel had given her room away! We were satisfied with the room but disappointed with the pool. The pool was not heated as they said it was and the website indicated there was an indoor pool and outdoor pool- not the case. Also the wifi was only free after signing up for their guest program, which we did. They offered a free beverage with breakfast for joining. Breakfast did not come […] nor did the free drink. Mehr

The hotel staff was amazing, they congratulated us at the desk and sent up and bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. They upgraded our room at no extra charge. It was a perfect day and evening.

Everything was great until the last night when it became obvious that the head boards are not bolted to the walls and the walls not nearly thick enough. The couple in the room next to us made that every evident (4 different times throughout the night-room 412 was next to us)...what kind of water was put in their room??

This hotel was nice in the lobby, but the rooms were not so nice. The bathtub was falling apart and was clogged up when we arrived. The staff was friendly however, and sent maintenance up to fix the clogged drain. I'd rather stay in a cheaper hotel next time. Pretty disappointed.

Front desk staff are extremely nice and helpful. The room was spotless and the bed quite comfortable. I cant give a perfect score for comfort for two reasons: we had a balcony room on the interstate side and the traffic noise could be heard in the room; and the description of the room on Hotels.com showed that there was a hair dryer in the room. I searched […] high and low an did not find it. I was there for business and ended up not being able to wash my hair since I would not have time for it to air dry before having to be at my meeting. Disappointing, but I dont know if that's an error on the part of Hotels.com or a mistake on the part of the hotel. There is nowhere to eat outside the hotel in walking distance. The restaurant in the hotel is quite expensive, but the food is very good. I have never gotten room service, so I dont know how it is. Mehr

I expected a bit more when I booked at Omni. As soon as we got there they forced me to put a $50 extra deposit. I found out why the next day. They charged me for logging on to the wifi. And the wifi service was slow and sketchy. The room was average. The bathroom was tiny and the fixtures were cheap and showed lots of wear. I had to step over the […] toilet to get out of the shower. The front desk, valet and room service were outstanding! They were very friendly and helpful! Will definetly stay there again. Very happy with this hotel. I read some of the reviews about the noise level because of how close it was to the freeway, but honestly I could hardly hear anything.
