Meine Freundin und ich haben uns das Hotel für ein romantisches Wochenende in Denver rausgesucht und sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Nachdem unsere Anreise auf grund des starken Schneesturms am Vortag erheblich erschwert wurde und unser Flug von LA gecancelt wurde, kamen wir ohne Gepäck (war noch in Dallas) in Denver an. Der Check-In verlief problemlos und schnell. Zudem wurde uns direkt mitgeteilt, dass von 17-19 uhr eine Manager's reception statfindet, bei der es kostenlos Cocktails/Longdrinks und Snacks gibt (Das wiederholte sich auch am Samstag; ist anscheinend eine dauerhafte Veranstaltung). Das Zimmer bzw. die Suite war perfekt. Neben einem Wohn-/Arbeitszimmer mit Schreibtisch und Couchecke gab es im Durchgang einen "Küchenbereich" mit Mikrowelle, Kühlschrank, Kaffeemaschine und Waschbecken. Das Bad war ausreichend groß. Auch das Schlafzimmer bot ausreichend Platz. Das gesamt Zimmer war sehr sauber, was das wichtigste für uns ist. Im Großen und Ganzen haben wir uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Lage des Hotels ist auch sehr gut. Man ist in 10-15 Minuten zum Pepsi-Center gelaufen (Arena der NHL und NBA Teams), ebenso ist das Convention Center direkt neben dem Hotel und in der Umgebung sind diverse Restaurants und Shops. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist sehr üppig und sehr lecker. Einzig die Wartezeit bei den Omlets war etwas länger. Das war allerdings auch dadurch bedingt, dass das Hotel anscheinend fast ausgebucht war und wir zu den Hauptzeiten gefrühstückt haben. Wir würden es jederzeit wieder buchen.

Tolles Hotel in der Nähe des Airports. Die Zimmer sind einwandfrei. Das Bad erstklassig. Die eingebaute Küche mit Mikrowelle und riesigem Kühlschrank wollte ich trotz kleinem Shop im Hotel nicht nutzen. Das Hotel liegt wegen der Airportnähe auch in der Mitte vom Nichts. Eine Handvoll Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Der Service punktete durch die spontane Bereitschaft den kostenlosen Shuttlebus statt zum Flughafen auch zum Rental CAr anzubieten. Die Abwicklung war einwandfrei. Frühstück typisch amerikanisch. Das ginge besser. Ganz bestimmt bei nächster Gelegenheit wieder.
Lage
Best Western Denver Southwest liegt in Lakewood. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeit befindet sich in der Umgebung: Town Hall Arts Center. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region gehören: Red Rocks Amphitheater und Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

Good place to crash, but our A/C was out...the fan worked fine but the actual A/C wouldn't run to the setpoint, somewhat frustrating.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was nice and quiet. VERY clean, beds were great, the staff were always friendly and smiling. The breakfast was great. We will definetly stay here again!
We there for our Brother's funeral, several of our family members also stayed there so was sort of a family reunion as we were from several states and had not seen each other in several years!

"Great Value"
This was a very convenient location for us, and the value was unbeatable. The location is good for getting to the mountains easily, but still convenient to the downtown Denver sights. Our room was very quiet, and had all the amenities we could have needed, including a microwave, refrigerator, and Wi-Fi. Overall, the room was pleasant. However, the janitorial staff would sometimes forget to vacuum the carpet or leave washcloths. You could obviously see that the room AC/Heater had not been cleaned in years. There were wads of dust on the carpet when you turned the fan to high. I had to ask the staff to figure out why the WIFI speed was so slow. To their […] credit, they resolved the issue. The back door by room 153 would not open easily when using the card key. "Best Western Lakewood / Denver"
The front desk was not friendly when we checked in. Our room was ok but seemed a bit old-dated. The beds were uncomfortble and very soft so that my wife got back hurts. That most annoying thing was the noise that occured when the doors were smached into their locks. Therefore, we were not able to sleep longer then 6 in the morning.

We spent four nights at this hotel and it was great. "No Pet Fee"
As long as your dog does not do damage to the room there is no pet fee, this hotel has some great open space to let your dog pee... close to busy roads so dogs must be leashed as all times! Did not get shampoo or conditioner in the room and the heater/air conditioner was outdated. The bed did not have a comforter but a blanket with sheets on either […] side. Breakfast was great! Mehr

This is not the newest hotel, but it was clean, and the breakfast was better than an average continental breakfast. The staff were all pretty nice. The room was clean and did not smell bad. Really only one complaint from me-- the pillows were uncomfortable. They were way overstuffed with spongy cotton, and there was only one size to choose from. It […] put my neck at a 45 degree angle. This is a great hotel for a modest price. I was in town to see my sister in Littleton, not specifically to see any of the attractions in or near Denver, but with a rental car, you have easy access to the area, Red Rocks, etc. Not much in the immediate area, although you are in walking distance to a strip mall with several restaurants. The breakfast […] included at the hotel was ample, and much nicer than what you typically see from a hotel, even pricier ones. During my stay, construction was being done to bring new windows to some rooms, but that did not affect my stay or enjoyment. Mehr
"Thin walls and not so quiet"
Unfortunately this hotel has thin walls and you can easily hear other guests next door. We stayed for 3 nights and each night I could hear different people around us. Plus guests were noisy in the hallway. Also, maid service was vacuuming upstairs at 9 am and could hear it on the ceiling. Won't be staying here again.

The hotel was nice except for the fact that all the websites say that it has an indoor pool. The pool is outside and happened to but under a foot of snow. I think the websites need to be changed.

"Great Hotel"
This hotel was very clean and quiet. I stayed here for 11 days and my room was always well cleaned when I came back.
"Lakewood Best Western - very clean and great value"
the price is right, room is very clean and smells that way as soon as you walk in. this is a discount hotel but if you'r like me (traveling for work) you only need a place to sleep and wash up and this place is very clean and below travel budget. Con's- not many chanels on the TV, can hear faint sounds from next room.
The room needs better. Sound proofing as we were trying to sleep we could feel the floor vibrate from the person pacing in the room next door, also we could also hear the person setting there keys on the counter in the next room. It was very hard to sleep when the person next door is walking around and it's shakes the bed when your trying to sleep.
"Very Nice for Price"
We wanted to stay in a safe neighborhood while staying close to downtown Denver. It was about a 15 minute drive to the Broncos Stadium. The customer service was excellent and the complimentary breakfast was great, much more than just muffins. We felt safe and the hotel was very close to eating and grocery stores. Overall a very nice stay!
Stayed 4 nights over the New Year weekend and can't say enough about the value and quality of this motel. Staff was great, beds were comfortable breakfeast was delicious and VERY FRENDLY breakfast attendant. OK. Sure the toliet was alittle cramped but how much room do you need to relieve yourself? With the rounded shower curtain, plenty of room to shower. […] If you are looking for a value... it doesn't get any better than this. I hope to stay here again in the future. Mehr
