Für ein Stadthotel relativ geräumige Zimmer, ansprechende Ausstattung, gutes Frühstücksbuffet.

The SPA was horrible! A humongous amount of particulants in the H20; it was green, and slimy! I haven't seen anything so bad in many years. The pool seemed adequate. Nice to have towels by the poolside! There were so many children there that the pool was overcrowded and the noise level outside of the elevators and in the hallways was horrible up and […] through 11:30 PM which is the last time I got up because of the noise. We went to bed at nine. There were no parking places Saturday nite and I drove around along with what seemed like 50 other cars looking for a parking place, in the rain. Finally I parked in a handicapped parking place. I hated to do so but I was desparate. There was a large number of youth out along with police and Fire Engines! I don't know what they were doing but they kept coming with their sirens on from 8:30PM to 12:00 midnight. I was expecting a peaceful weekend but it didn't work out that way! It was O.K. though. You really need to clean that SPA though! It's horrible!! Mehr

the hotel was extremely noisy on my floor in the middle of the night. over 1000 soccer kids were staying there and the entire 9th floor was full of unsupervised kids roaming the halls and yelling room to room during the night. i called front desk at 1030 to complain and they said they would handle it. the next moring i went to front desk and ask what […] happened and she said we sent someone up around 3am. by then the kids were finally asleep. i was very disappointed that they couldnt send any employee up there just to merely ask the kids to settle down and get into their rooms. i dont think that was too much to ask from a reputable hotel. i will say the manager on duty gave me free breakfast the next day and politely moved me to another room for my next night. for the price the hotel was very nice and comfortable. the noise is what blew it for me Mehr

The staff helped with our weather concerns, and offered to accomidate our needs. The indoor swimming pool was huge and well maintained.

Very convenient, courteous, and clean. They have the largest workout room I've ever seen in a hotel with great equipment, but the card reader on that entry door took multiple tries to finally work (I had to let in some other folks that tried and tried and just couldn't get in). Beautiful indoor pool & hot tub, great walking paths in Corporate Woods […] area. Elevators were always fast, never made us wait more than a minute. Breakfast in bed and laundry service both astronomically priced, which was a huge turn-off that prevented us from even trying the in-hotel restaurant for fear they'd charge us $25 a plate for breakfast. Only easily reachable plugs in room are on the desk (big pet peeve at ALL hotels we stay at) so we just bought a travel surge strip. Large HDTV and HD cable service was great, but no DVD player in room, so thankfully we had brought our own laptop and HDMI cable to play our own movies. Internet costs extra, but price of room was so great I can't complain about that, and with 4G mobile phone service you don't even need wifi these days (we only paid for it one day out of four). Headboard was AWFUL, sticks out at the top so you're constantly hitting your head on it when trying to sit upright to read or watch TV in bed. Both our backs hurt from sleeping in their bed, but we're not sure why as they seem comfortable at first. We requested a fridge and they did an awesome job providing it quickly without intruding on our stuff that was very clearly in the way. And of course, the warm cookie you get at check-in is amazing...just wish you got one every day of your stay! Mehr

Beautiful hotel, and extremely friendly staff. Will certainly stay there again in my next visit. Their Easter brunch was superb and by far the best I've ever had, with food choices for everyone including diabetics.

Very friendly staff, great amenities, no additional charge when I requested a 'fridge to be brought to the room. Just a beautiful hotel staffed with awesome people. I will be back.

The hotel was very nice overall. The towels were very nice, bedding was very nice. I do not like that the beds are doubles, queen would be better. The only complaint was the tile in the shower is very old and very dirty. It sort of reminded me of a commercial of the before they clean the tile look. VERY NICE, COMFORTABLE, CLEAN HOTEL WITH A NICE POOL AND A GOOD VIEW FROM THE ROOM. GOT A GREAT PRICE ON THIS HOTEL. ONLY THING I WISHED THE ROOM HAD WOULD BE A REFRIGERATOR.

The only issue that I had was the fact that there is no shuttle ground transportation to and from the MCI airport, only limo services which is expensive and not necessary for one person. I have stayed at the Double Tree in Waikiki, Hawaii which really SUCKED for customer service and cleanliness prior to going to Kansas. This feeling left me not only […] with a bad taste in my mouth, but very apprehensive about my upcoming stay at the Overland Park hotel. I truly enjoyed my stay in such a well kept facility with wonderful staff members, and very welcoming landscaping (loved the Spring flowers). Mehr

Very convenient location. Shopping and ease of access to major interstate makes this a great place to stay!!! The rooms were clean, beds comfortable, and staff was courteous. Pool area was decent but left a little to be desired. The fitness room was well equipped and I found it very usable. The hotel experience was what we needed. The room could've been quite nice, but it's in desperate need of an update inside the room. The exterior is nice, the lobby is nice, the room felt okay but a little grimy & in need of assistance. Here's what needs to be fixed: the shower curtain is falling apart, the shower tiles/tub feel dirty, the popcorn ceiling […] bare spots, the 1980 smoke detector, the cracks in the closet, the decor, the thermostat which isn't temperature specific, and the dated & unsupportive furniture. The staff was nice, the building's interior and exterior look nice, but more effort needs to be placed on cleaning up the rooms and making it more of a quality hotel which it claims to be. Mehr

Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean and modern, located exactly where we needed to be. Only downside was housekeeping did not leave extra toliet tissue even though one role was empty and second roll was getting very low. Upside is that was our only concern the entire stay. Two thumbs up!!!

The heated pool is great for family entertainment. It is only 3-5ft deep and my grandkids loved it. We had a nice corner room and it was very quiet. Had one night with problems with extreme noise from group of teens for basketball tournament. Front desk right on top of getting situation quiet and even gave us coupons for free breakfast buffet. very nice hotel. would definitely stay again. the only thing I might mention is that the music over the sitting area in the lobby is a little to loud where as the music in the pool area you could not really hear due to the fan. Also , the sprinkler system in our room was rusted which made me a little uncomfortable. It made me wonder if it would work […] or not. Employees very pleasant. . I was surprised there was no continental breakfast offered as that seems to be a gimmy in almost all hotels. Mehr

My wife and I went up for a Chiefs football game and stayed the night before at the Double Tree. It is a very nice hotel with very comfortable rooms. The bed was soft and the rooms were clean. It is located within a couple of miles of Metcalf Ave where there is an abundance of quality restaurants. The only negative thing I can say about the hotel is […] that the drinks at the bar were expensive, but the are at any restaurant bar. Overall a great stay. Mehr

The hotel is an excellent choice when visiting KC, my family and I have been a return customer for years and this last stay was the first time we have an issue. Our recent stay put us on the same floor with a wedding party, when you are traveling with small children that is the last thing you want. There were people in the hallways drinking and very […] loud till about 2 in the mowning, not something I wanted my children to pass on the way to our room from the elevator!!. with that being said everything else was well worth it. We traveled with our 2 children ( 8 and 10), and another family. We were looking for a nice, non-smoking hotel/room in a nice area with things to do. Well, this place was a far cry from all of these things.. When we checked into our hotel we were next to our friends as we requested. BUT....our room smelled like smoke. We called down to the front desk […] and they said that were full so they sent house keeping up to our room. He sprayed something from a squirt bottle on the carpet to take away the smoke smell (yea right?). Well, guess what...that did not work, it continued to smell, like smoke and it was coming through the vents. We complained again and amazingly the 2nd time there was an available room just around the corner on the same floor. We moved rooms and well it still had a smell but not of smoke but of something odd and the the air conditioner did not work well either, it was very humid in our room the entire weekend. Compared to our friends room...where it was freezing and we had to wear a sweatshirt while sitting in there. We were not impressed! As for the location, 25-30 min aways from the Royals Stadium and Worlds of Fun. The bar was nice, but expensive and the food was overpriced and over rated. We are not a picky family, all we wanted was a clean room with good AC...not so much! if you are going in for a meeting it might be fine, it is located in a Professional district. Aside from the warm cookie, I would stay elsewhere next time. I washed everything from all 4 bags....b/c they smelled! Mehr

We love coming to the Doubletree each time we come to KC - it's the hotel we try to book! However, I wish they would notify guests upon arrival of special events going on by the hotel - ie: jazz festival where jazz music was playing in the park outside our hotel room both Friday and Saturday nights late into the night. It would also be nice if they […] placed families with young children AWAY from the elevator and possibly away from large groups, such as weddings and/or school groups staying. I realize this always isn't possible, however it makes for a late night when there's screaming and jumping around the elevator all night. Mehr

The employees treated us like family. The room was wonderful.

The hot tub was very small and dirty.... Other than that pretty good!!!!

Very nice Hotel, however, it is hard to find, and there is a lot of highway construction going on all around the area so it was a little hard to find the exits. The resturant "bar" menu was a high priced fright. The prices are off the map for basic sandwiches, beer is $4.00 a bottle, $16.00 for fish and chips. 3 pcs of cod and a handful of fries, no […] slaw. We wouldn' t reccomend this hotel much, they have a very nice pool however, and the rooms are nice but that is it! Mehr

I rate this hotel an A++++! It is by far the best hotel and the most friendly hotel i have ever been to.
