Hatten für 2 Tage das Hotel über Sylvester gebucht. Sehr zu empfehlen da gerade neu renoviert und die Zimmer komplett neu sind. Weiterhin in Fussreichweite zu Orten wie Fishermanns Wharf, Telegraph Hill und Chinatown. Parkplatz sollte vorher reserviert werden, da in der Gegend Mangelware.

Hotel liegt sehr zentral in San Francisco. Liegt in der Nähe der wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten und am 5.Stock gibt es einen super Ausblick auf die gesamte Golden Gate Bridge.

Nice, clean and comfortable hotel. Ten minutes walk down to fishermans walk. The only thing i missed was aircondition Otherwise a good experience.

The only thing I would recommend the hotel to add is more counter space in the bathroom!!!!

Interesting stay. Great spacious room in SF. Nice sized bathroom. Perfect walking distance to Fisherman's Warf. Helpful management. Parking was a bit high. Workout center had a good array of equiptment but only one or two items each. Housekeeping was hit or miss. Bathrobes were a nice addition to the stay.

Very Professional Staff with a well maintained rooms.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the DaVinci Villa, putting us close to Fisherman's Wharf, public trans and other SF attractions. Included continental breakfast had exceptional pastries and baked goods and excellent coffee. There were a few issues - our room was terribly stuffy - not sure why - with an odd smell. Aired it out by opening sliding door, […] but as soon as closed, it became stuffy again. Also hotel appears to double as a dorm, so some rowdiness heard but not too bad. Mehr

I asked for access to my car when making my reservation online. I got a handicapped room which was okay but not needed. I simply needed access to my car without going up or down steps. The hotel is in a district with steep hills, but I I like the place because I wanted the access to that area of SF. Trying to use the hotel elevators to avoid stairs […] was confusing at first, but now that I know the layout I will stay there again. Mehr

just the fact that they charge $55 a day for parking. is outrages. and they even admit. that they can't advertise it. because no one gonna go there. also. the standart of the room. is equal to a motel 6. even the bathroom tissue was the chippest quality. I just feel stupid for paying so much. basicly for the name. never again.

If it is close to the wharf/pier will be much better

I booked this hotel merely for a 2 day layover to our trip to Mexico from the East coast. For the amount I paid I was not expecting much but I was pleasantly surprised, the lobby seemed new and the staff was very pleasant and helpful, the night we arrived it was raining and they lent us a umbrella to when we went out. The room it self was immaculately […] clean and also seemed to be recently redone, the bathroom too, there was free wifi which allowed my wife and I to do a bit of work, and when we needed to print the business center was available and working properly. The location of the hotel was also perfect, on the corner of Van Ness and Filbert, it is one block over from the Polk Street that is lined with restaurants and bars. Also it is only a short walk to the wharf where there is plenty of restaurants and tourist attractions to do. The one thing I would say has room from improvement would be the attached restaurant to the hotel, Caffe Como, the hotel offered a free Continental Breakfast which was just muffins, bagels and fruit (typically continental means eggs and sausage to me) and the whole feel of the place reminded me of a cafeteria. Overall the stay at Da Vinci Hotel was very pleasant and I would be happy to stay there again as long as the price stayed the same. Mehr

I was surprised checking into the hotel that I would be charged $28.50 for using the Hotel parking lot. I don't remember seeing this charge advertised with the hotel description. The restaurant at the hotel is pretty good and the prices are reasonable. The room was very clean. The elevator situation was a bit odd. You can't take one elevator to the […] 5th floor from the lobby. You have "elevator one & elevator two". I have never been charged for hotel parking before, this was a first. When pricing Hotels, make sure you don't forget to factor in the parking fee + "parking fee tax" what a joke... Mehr

Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was a bit loud and drafty, but luckily it was not a cold night. I will stay there again when I have an early flight to catch.

the upstairs guests must have been a herd of elephants but fortunatly they didnt stay up all night and i was able to sleep in the very comfortable beds. the shower was very nice and i appreciated the included shampoo, conditioner, soap, hairdryer, and in room coffee. The sauna was not in operation which was one of the reasons i chose the hotel...bummer, […] and the wifi was kind of a pain to access. the staff at the downstairs restaurant, cafe como, were very nice and personable and gave good info about local attractions. a few drawbacks but i would definitely return. Top floors have amazing view of SF. Parking was $28 for the day at hotel lot. Take a taxi can just about anywhere for $10. Staff was friendly but a little overwhelmed. Would definetly return. Rooms are very clean an everything worked.

Based on prior reviews we searched for street parking and found it (with a little difficulty) but it sure beat paying $25 per night. The building itself is old but the reception and rooms have been renovated and the beds are extremely comfortable. Staff were very pleasant and the advertised continental breakfast was fairly extensive and far better than […] I had expected based on some reviews. Two perfectly cooked eggs to go with the free breakfast were only $4. All in all an excellent value and pleasant stay in San Francisco. Mehr

I was very happy with this property. Location is not absolutely the best, but public transportation is not too far and everything else is within a good distance. Cleanness of hotel and beds were very nice, flat screen TV with a nice staff. Overall 4 of 5 starts. You won't be disappointed.

Great location if you don't mind being a short ways from any one particular location. Everything seemed a short walk or drive. Onsite self-parking was a plus allowing me to come and go as I pleased. I would recommend to others and I would stay again, however I did have some experiences I wasn't thrilled about that may be isolated to my visit. These […] experiences included not having hot water and having sheets that soiled/very dirty. I was bothered by not having hot water, it was only room temperature to warm, and disturbed by the sheets. With regard to the hot water, hotel management had maintenance come to the room to check out the issue. Maintenance also check the boiler, but were unable to fix the issue quickly, but everyone was very nice. With regard to the sheets, a manager or front desk associate came to the room and changed the sheets. Despite my unpleasant experiences, I give the hotel a second try. Mehr

The hotel is advertised better than it is. It's an average hotel, nothing special. It was clean and comfortable, but not as described through the website. It's about a 15 minute walk to Ghirardelli Square and about 20 minutes to the Wharf, not bad at all and very safe. Excellent service. The staff was so helpful and the free breakfast and internet was also great.

We chose da Vinci Villa for our visit to San Francisco because we got a special "Run of House - ASAP Special!" Unfortunately, we did not get our preference for a room with a King sized bed, but two double beds. The listing on Hotels.com was unclear and we did not realize this was a possibility. When we complained, the staff apologized, but did not offer […] to move us to a room with a king sized bed. Here's a summary of the pros and cons of our stay: Pros: -comfortable beds -nice toiletries -convenient parking -nice neighborhood -continental breakfast with fresh fruit Cons: -noisy housekeeping staff right outside our courtyard window shortly after 7am. (so much for sleeping in) -not convenient to main tourist attractions in San Francisco -no room darkening drapes, only blinds (room darkening drapes might have dampened some of the noise from the courtyard in addition to darkening the room) -did I mention the noise? Very comfortable pillow top bed. The room is sparsely furnished and roomy for it's smaller size, due to good design. Maybe too minimal, as I could not find any information on checkout times, nor a tv guide. Very clean, and great shampoo and soap stuff. The attached restaurant is mediocre, but the only convenient place to eat when too tired to go out […] and find something else. Breakfast buffet was pretty good, though. Parking in the hotel lot is $25.00 a day, and fills up early - good luck parking. Mehr

...on a pig. While it was a decent place overall, the pool was closed and the staff were nto the friendliest. Also, the breakfast buffet was hardly that. Great location to find good hotels.

We were looking for an inexpensive hotel in Fishermans Wharf for an over night stay and we found it. Da Vinci Villa is newly renovated and the rooms are spacious and clean. The bathroom is huge and the beds are soft. They also gave us tickets for a free continental breakfast that include fresh fruit, muffins, bagels cereals, coffe, juice etc. We even […] get free wifi plus they have a little computer room where you can go and print for free. They even served our friends wine in the lobby while they waited on us to come down from our hotel to go to dinner. Seriously, if you are going to San Fran, book this hotel. You will not regret it. it doesn't say they charge for parking, but they do. if you park on the street you don't have to pay. they won't tell you that, in fact told me i would probably be towed, and that i would have to move my vehicle every two hours. so the first time i stayed there i used their parking. subsequent stays i parked on the street and it was fine. i didn't have […] to move and i wasn't towed. the pool and fitness room were closed all but this last time i stayed. no treadmill, but walking the neighborhood is better anyway. shopping and restaurants only a few blocks away. Hotel was nice & clean. Friendly staff. My complaints were they neglected to mention the 25$ a day parking fee, & there was a banging noise from the closet every 15 minutes. After u got used to it, it became tolerable.

Under construction, no AC in the rooms and the only window that we could open was so small it didnt matter. One mirror and it was in the bathroom the lighting , what lighting and the noise from the staff and workers!! Loved being woken up at 7:30 am to the sound of a hammer and a guy grinding a pool fence outside my room. The location was bad every […] store around was close down!! Even the so called resturant was closed due to construction and we had to take a taxi to get food because of the location!! Never again!! Mehr

The hotel is in a great location just a five minute walk away from the ocean. Great view, if you go to the 5th floor you'll see a phenominal view of the Golden Gate Bridge. Staff was friendly.. complimentary breakfast was great.. rooms very clean.. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed the experience for a very affordable rate!

The hotel had no a/c and the room temp. was stifling. There is a fan but it was inadequate. Lighting was very poor and was very difficult to read. I had no hot water the first day but that was remedied by the second day...made for a very cold shower, tho.

The place was clean, rates are reasonable. Parking was a little inconvenient, continental breakfast was offered. I will have to agree with a previous review I read, this place was more like motel and not a hotel. Walls are thin, you can hear people talking, doors opening and closing, along with street noises thoughout the night. Not too much comfort […] here. Mehr

Loved it. I was however not happy about having to smoke on the sidewalk on the street. There is a courtyard in the middle which is open air.

The food was great, but it was extremely hard to get parking so you basically had to pay the extra 25 to park. I was really nice tho, great service and amazing restaurant.

Every staff of the hotel are A1, very co-operative. Hotel is very clean, one of our room heater was not working within 5 munite the the engineer came over and fix it. Surely we will visit this Hotel and recomend anybody.

The location was near everything you want to be near . Bars, landmarks etc. the part that was unattractive was the parking fee which we did not expect. The discription of the hotel made us think the room was fairly big. It was extremely small and the shower was made for half a Person. Parking is 28/night thought that was crazy but I guess parking is crazy every where in San Fran. Nice, clean room. The restaurant in the hotel has really good bread and sandwiches. Also the walls are paper thin so we were woken up in the middle of the night by noises we did not want to hear!! But it was a pretty nice hotel over all.
