Ich würde das Vagabond eher als Motel bezeichnen. Das Zimmer war sauber, wobei dem allgemeinen Zustand eine Renovierung sicher gut täte. Das Frühstück ist eher mager, Waffel zum selbst backen, zwei Tische, sechs Stühle sind nicht gerade für ein gemütliches Frühstück geeignet. Frei Parken, kostenloses Internet und Frühstück. Die Zimmer sind sauber und vollkommen in Ordnung; es könnte evtl. ein klein wenig moderner sein. Da sich Hotel in Flughafennähe befindet, bleiben Fluggeräusche morgens und abends nicht aus.

Der Service mit dem Shuttle Bus um 5 Uhr 30 morgens hat bestens funktioniert. Auch ein continental Frühstück wäre möglich gewesen.

Vom Hotel aus kann man mit dem Hotel Shuttle (fährt regelmässig zirka alle 30 Min) zum Flughafen, von dort aus mit dem Zug in die Stadt. Das Ticket in die Stadt ist recht teuer (je nach Endstation zirka 14 Dollar p.P. hin und zurück), der Zug braucht eine Ewigkeit (jede Station ein Halt). Wir brauchten zirka 45 Min bis 1h Weg. This is my 3rd stay at this Vagabond...Rooms are always perfect and the free cookies are a plus. Great view of the Bay!! One of the BEST free breakfasts that I have every had!! Fresh high quality food with an outstanding Waffle Maker!!! I wish that they would update the TV's (Tube) in the rooms. Overall...Outstanding!!!

Have not stayed in a motel-setting in quite a few years, and did not expect this. I will say, however, that the owner(s) does a great job of keeping the place clean and well-cared for.

I won't stay here again because when I walked in and said "how are you?" The girl in the front desk just ignored me for 4 mins, which is not acceptable at all. The room is stuffy and I had to checked out at 8am in the morning in order to breath some fresh air. A/C is not working.

Unfortunately, my wife was ill so we did not afford ourselves much chance to appreciate everything you offer but the place was quite satisfactory

Pluses: Next door you have two bars. Negative: it's by the water so it's cold, and the breakfast is undesirable.

I got bit by bed bugs in this hotel. I contacted the management and she didn't even say she was sorry!! She did say she would contact the exterminator which is great but I was very upset. I didn't check the bed bug registry and sure enough there are reports. Don't stay in this hotel.

PROS: Convenient location. Relatively clean. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast. CONS: Heat/AC controlled by hotel. Room stifling hot, but only heat available per front desk. Could not open window because there was no screen. Maintenance gone home for the day per front desk. Still no screen in place the next day. (Noticed later that many rooms had no screen […] on windows). It was so hot we could not sleep! Refrigerator was not plugged in but did not notice until next day, so lost all our food. Front desk said guests sometimes unplug due to noise, and housekeeping is suppose to check, but I suspect hotel unplugs to save electricity. The refrigerator was not noisy.....we should know as we were up all night due to the heat. Because there is no way to control the temperature of the room, we will never stay here again. Mehr

This hotel is a great option close to San Francisco - it could use a bit of updating but overall is clean and relatively inexpensive, close to the San Francisco airport and with a handy free shuttle to get you there. I will definitely stay there again.

I like to stay at the Vagabond in Burlingame because it is on the Bay and relatively quiet. The hotel is convenient for flights from SFO.

Good value for money, big room, good beds, great breakfast

The only reason I stayed at this location was because the location. It is very close to the airport. It is cheaper than the other surrounding hotels and that was another plus, but once I got in the room I understood why it was cheaper. It is a no smoking hotel but their rooms smell like people have smoked in them. I had problems with my key twice and […] I was advised to not put my room key next to my cell phone. When I informed her that my key was in my back pocket, she stated that it must been too close to my phone still. Next time I will spend the extra dollar and stay at one of the other surrounding hotels. Mehr

Nice, clean place, convenient location to SFO airport, to near by shopping mall in Millbrae, close to CA 101. Good value for the money.

I would definitely stay there again. The only thing I would suggest is a bigger area of breakfast. It was really cramped in there with so many people juggling around each other. Other than that, Awesome time!

Really great location very close to the airport. Rooms were comfortable, bed was comfortable, but very noisy as the windows were quite thin and u could hear doors opening and closing and people in the parking lot unloading their cars all night long. but to be expected when you stay at a hotel. This hotel was perfectly close to the airport. Also includes complimentary shuttle every 30 mins that was punctual and efficient. Breakfast was rather decent, and with a good room you can watch the planes land and take-off from your balcony. When the weather is right, you can stroll down the way near the water. Great Hotel, I had a good time at this Vagabond Hotel, all of the surrounding at this neighborhood is so close, it's just a walking distance.

My husband and I stay here whenever we need a hotel near SFO. Our flights often get in late and we can catch the shuttle to the hotel. The rooms are clean and quiet and the breakfast is fantastic. For the price we have never found a better hotel near SFO and we have tried many. We have even stayed here when wanting to spend a couple of days in SF. We […] go to a game, out to dinner and stay at Vagabond then after a great breakfast head back to the city for a day at Moma. A quick get away and so much less expensive than a hotel in the city that has to include huge parking fees. We love the Vagabond Inn and recommend it highly. Mehr

My wife & I enjoyed our stay. we were luck enough to get a room on the first floor looking at the bay and airport. Very nice.

Great value, views of bay, great free breakfast, free pu at airport

Nice comfortable stay. We had a bay view room and the airport was just across the bay and we were able to watch airplanes take off and land. Large breakfast selection. Enjoyed the stay.

Can't get much closer to the airport and sleep peacefully. Especially easy rental car return. The only drawback is a dearth of dining options in the immediate area, however the Elephant Bar next door is OK. Pizza delivery is super fast.

Great value. Excellent hot breakfast. Was completely satisified.

I didn't have the breakfast but they had some beverages 24 hours. Great location on the Peninsula half way between Daly City and San Mateo for visiting. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Comfortable bed and wonderful breakfast but the hotel put us in a room with a TV that they knew was broken. I called the desk to report this and when the maintenance man came to the room he immediately said he could not fix it without even looking at the TV. Hotel was very noisy also.

Hotel very run down. Room furniture very worn. Bedding smelly. Hotel did not honor my booking for 14 day parking which I booked on line. Will never stay at a Vagabond Inn anywhere again!

This was my third stay at this particular hotel and I can't recommend it enough. The Vagabond Inn is located next to several restaurants and has a perfect view of planes coming in at SFO. The hotel is only two exits away from the airport and reasonably priced. I've stayed at this particular Vagabond at least 4 times. It's about a 15 minute shuttle ride to/from the airport and has always delivered great service, both from the front desk staff and shuttle service. It is located on the bay, which allows some relief from the otherwise industrial atmosphere and a good opportunity for a walk. They even offer some […] hot foods with the free breakfast, and the rooms are clean. The only down side is the aging decor--peeling wallpaper and stained carpeting-- in some of the rooms. Room was clean and tidy, staff friendly. Shower was clogged causing disgusting back up. Moved to other room, issue resolved.
