Vagabond Inn Executive Reno - Reno

Our stay at the Vagabond was nothing special. It provided us with a bed and bathroom, after our activities in town were complete, nothing more, nothing less. Will we be back? Probably not.

In this case, we definitely got what we paid for, (cheap rate = cheap hotel) but the term "executive" doesn't apply to this place at all. The towels were stained, the tub was filthy, and the sheets on the bed were torn. I'll never stay here again.

Fair price, friendly staff, free breakfast, nice pool and they accept pets. We had a great stay and will recommend to friends. Central Reno location is very convenient.

I was disappointed in the fact that they did not have what they advertised. They adverstised a full breakfast from a onsite restraunt and neither was the case. Room could have been cleaner and carpet looked worn and dirty

We needed a room over busy Labor Day weekend and this place was available. Many hotels were sold out and all the hotel prices were high because of the holiday, but this was on the lower side and available. The room was clean and comfortable--better than I had expected. Would definitely stay here again for an inexpensive stopover.

This is an older hotel with good location, but the rooms are small and, as I said, old. Seriously though, we had to have a room and it served us well. I liked the hard beds, my friend didn't. It was quiet and right on Virginia St. very convenient.

It's ok served the purpose for me.

Overall the hotel was fine for the price. Except that our keys didn't work. We had to talk to the office 4 times the night we arrived (after midnight) and then still had to switch rooms because they could not get the keys to work. It was very annoying

Not the greatest in comfort. Clean, nice employees, and they take dogs. Staff are helpful.

I stayed there because I was attending a convention at the Peppermill (one block away). The price was right, but it is a little worn and could use some refurbishing.

Not a bad place to stay for the price. Room was clean and comfortable. The continential breakfast did not consist of anything but pasteries and coffee. I would stay there again for a quick overniter.

If you just need somewhere to crash when coming to Reno go to the Peppermil or the Atlantis, this is the PERFECT location. It is close walking distance both casinos and works awesome for when there is a major show in town and all the casinos are full or too expensive.

The sink was plugged, Tv Fuzzy I guess they had rabbit ears for reception. Old Tv and no where to plug the DVD we brought so we can watch a movie. Very noisy outside as well as heater. Was not worth the dollars we paid per night.

This motel was convenient to the freeway, and plenty of resturants. Fairly clean, and the sink was outside the toilet/shower room, which helps with four people. Breakfast wasn't much, but got us by for several hours.

The Vagabond was clean, and adequate if you don't need luxury room. A little noise from the street but not too bad. Overall for the price, just fine.

On S. Virgina St. just half way between the Pepper Mill and Atlanis. Very convenent for us. Older hotel on the outside, modernized on the inside. Comfy bed, and I liked the parking rite in front of our door. They also had a pool, that looked clean, and very inviting, but didn't have time to use it. Maybe next time! The "Continental Breakfast" however, […] was just a packaged muffin or sweet roll and coffee. No fruit or cerial etc. Go up the street to Black Bear Dinner just a couple blocks away for a real breakfast! Mehr

This older two-story motel is in need of an exterior makeover but I was very happy with my upstairs king room. The room was moderate in size with everything in working order and very clean. It had plenty of interior lighting, shower tub, good water pressure, large mirror and a spacious counter area in the bathroom with hairdryer and coffee maker. The […] king bed was very comfortable and there was a comfy chair to relax in and watch TV. There was also a refrigerator and table and chair for eating. There's plenty of parking here and it's an easy 5-6 minute walk to the Peppermill or Atlantis casinos. Some stores and restaurants are also within easy walking distance. The front desk staff was friendly and accommodating. The free breakfast in the lobby was a very basic coffee and packaged pastries. Mehr

The staff were friendly, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The pool was closed for the season (our stay was in mid September and still in the 90's during the day), which disappointed our 8 year old, but the staff indicated they had an agreement with the hotel up the blvd. to use their pool, although we never did. The TV in our room was […] small, as were the complimentary soaps and shampoos (much smaller than usual). You may want to pack some of your own or purchase some nearby. poor service at front desk .people at front desk looked like kids comeing in from playing outside.They could not decide what room to give me and i guess i lost!!! my room has the loudest aircon you have ever heard It sounded like an airplaine taking off every 15min it would startel me and i would jump out of my sleep this was everytime when it kicked […] in.my coffee from the hotel was in a plastic baggy? beds were very hard and most of all POOL was closed for the season (WHAT SEASON).THIS SHOUD BE TOLD WHEN BOOKING. There were coffee stains on the vanity. black hair on one of the foam cups. Just didn't use it. I thought that continental breakfast was more than packaged small danish and coffee. But it did get me through my early flight back home. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were clean which was very good. Yes, I probably would stay there again […] since the price was good better than motel 6. I would recommend this hotel after explaining the above to someone and the landscaping needed work. Mehr

Room was clean and the bed was actually the most comfortable I've ever seen in a hotel of this price range. Breakfast consisted of only packaged danishes, would have like to have seen some fresh fruit, and/or ceral with milk. Would stay again.

I do not recommend this hotel to anyone due to cleanliness and the quality one gets. We could have probably gotten a way better room in another hotel. The noise of the airconditioner was annoying. The staff of this motel was friendly and nice though.

Nice clean room. Good if you are just looking for an inexpensive place to sleep. Three out of four of us slept well on the beds. The one with a history of back problems did not, however. It was quiet and peaceful while we were there. We were disappointed that there was not a restaurant on site as we understood that there would be. The hotel is clean and the people are very friendly. I have stayed here before and thought it was a good hotel. My only issue was the air conditioner, it was so loud that it kept waking me up in the night when it would kick on. So I decided to stay again on my next trip to Reno. The room was clean and comfortable, however, I saw a bug on my washcloth […] and I killed it. No biggie, right?? When I came back to the hotel, the same kind of bug was near the sink. I think they were coming from the drain. I also had the same issue with the air conditioning unit. So overall the hotel is ok but they really need to do something about some of the issues. Mehr

El hotel es una buena opción, sobre todo que esta bien situado, cerca del centro y del aeropuerto, solo estuvimos una noche pero fue agradable la estancia, la habitación limpia y en buen estado, todo funcionando bien, lo único que solicitaria es el tamaño de las toallas son sumamente pequeñas.
