Das Hotel liegt zwar direkt an einer befahrenen Strasse, ist aber nur 2 Minuten zu Fuss von Down Town und nur eine Strassenüberquerung von einem super schönen Parkanlage entfernt , die zu einem Shoppingzenter gehört.

We needed a hotel near the location of the Cosmotology state board test. Vagabond is a short drive there and the closeness to the mall and other restaurant locations made it a good choice. The beds were comfortable and rates are reasonable.

My experience here was pleasant overall. It was extremely cheap, the room was clean, the neighborhood looked and felt very safe and I was pleased with my decision to try it out. You're not gonna get luxury but if you just need a place to sleep because you're going to be out-and -about during the day, this is your place. Nice older place close to Glendale galleria and 134 FWY Great Service convenient parking free WIFI

Good standard motel rooms. Front access from EB Colorado Blvd and from back on street south of Colorado. Glendale Galleria is a block away and Americana at Brand is directly across the street and a good place to walk at night and with lots of restaurants. Brand Blvd also has lots of shops and restaurants going north up Brand. The room was OK. The neighborhood wasn't the best.

Wasnt sure if I'd be happy here, from some of the reviews. But, it was fine. Great location and lovely staff, from the front desk to housekeeping and janitorial. I did have my room changed from the 2nd floor to the 3rd. Couldn't access wifi first evening. Since it was a business trip...well it was important. They graciously accommodate my request. The only thing good about this hotel is the location and weather. The air conditioner/heater was erratic and didn't work properly. The vent fan in the bathroom was excessively noisy and was reported to management. Maintenance man disconnected vent and it never got fixed the next three days (waiting for parts). People were living permanently on each […] side of our room with multible `visitors at all hours. Constant door slamming all night, could not get decent nights sleep during our 5 day stay. Suggestions :The room looks old, needs painting, the window needs to be changed to a newer one, the blankets were old with holes and static, there were sparks when tried to lift, please change to cotton blankets, will be better not to use the bed covers at all. The location of the hotel was very convenient to shopping and food, within walking distance. The hotel rooms were decent, not luxurious, but had what was needed including a mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The walls are pretty thin and windows allow a lot of noise in. Don't plan on sleeping past 8:30am, unless you sleep like a log.

I was so unhappy with this hotel. When we arrived they didnt let us check in until an hour and a half after check in, then when we asked if we could check out an hour late, they said no. How does that make sense? I was really excited about the location and the hotel seemed to be nice enough for the price, but by night time it was all over. I was there […] on business and needed a good night sleep and just didnt get it. The walls are PAPER thin I could here EVERY WORD my neighbors were speaking next door. There were loud door slams all night, people stomping around. Commotion in the parking lot all night and on top of that, dogs were barking ALL NIGHT LONG! because the hotel is pet friendly. Very convenient to Galleria Mall and Americanas but motel was cold. No heat Jan. 8, 2012.

This place has a good location in Glendale, but that's about all it has going for it. The hotel is noisy and busy; each night I stayed seemed to get progressively worse. People come and go at all hours and make the kinds of noises another person doesn't need to hear. Many "guests" left their doors open; others seemed to have a constant flow of illicit […] traffic. Meanwhile, guests have no control over the fan; it's either an air conditioner or a heater. If the temperature outside drops below 59 degrees, the furnace kicks in. Every night, unhappy residents began to shout about the a/c suddenly becoming a blast of heat. There is no option to turn on the "fan only." It's either cold, hot or nothing. In the morning, the continental breakfast is donuts and apples and some small, dry muffins. I gave up and went to McDonald's at the mall. Mehr

Somehow, we were stuck with the smallest room out of the 3 that we checked out.. but ours had a HUGEEEEE bathroom. I'm guessing ours was the handicap room? ALSO, my other friends had a flat screen TV and about 300 more square feet. Upside though, great location, great service, and overall good experience.

I would recommend this Hotel. It was very clean, great price and in the middle of everything you need.

Very good location. The room was clean and cozy.

The heater didn't work in the room (it was in the low-40s outside) and the wireless signal was too weak to even connect (I'm competent with technology). The location is pretty good and the front desk is friendly, but not having heat when it was so cold outside was uncomfortable.

The overall stay at the hotel was nice, but the only thing that would not make me come back is the lack of security feeling. Though it is in a busy area (next to the Americana) I felt uncomfortable because while my guests and I were staying at the pool, one man continuously came into the pool area, and would sit and watch my friends and I while trying […] to use the chain to lock the door so we couldn't get out. It was extremely uncomfortable, and though it is not the hotel's fault I just wish there would be someone to check the area once in a while. But this single incident wouldn't stop me from recommending it to others because it won't necessarily happen again. Mehr

very basic, older hotel, but well maintained and Clean!!!! Easy location to access from I-5 and actually quiet location. Glendale Mall across the street for easy access to food and shopping.

Although the staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean as expected the beds were very hard the pillows no help and the air is controlled by what the temp is outside. Needless to say I got hardly any sleep and was HOT most of the night. I choose this location so I could be close to the State Barber Cosmo Test site. I DO NOT reccomend staying […] here. It's small inside and out dated starting with really small and old tv that picture is all faded

The Bed was so uncomfortable lumpy and old and the room smelled like mold, and the tv had a terrible picture. The bathroom was very clean.

At first glance I was expecting much from this hotel, just a place to crash on our way someplace else. Then we it came to eating dinner we ventured across the street because I saw a bookstore and thought there might be something there. You turn the corner and there are beautiful fountains with lights, a trolley, tons of shopping and good eats. My son […] and I had the best time just walking around and taking in all the sights. It is also across the street from the Glendale Galleria if you are really into shopping. There is also a Farmers Market on Saturday morning that we cruised by. For me, I was just using the hotel to stay overnight instead of a long commute. I was surprised at how nice the surrounding area was. The hotel room was nothing to cheer about - typical "motel" style room with door to outside hallway. There was a nice table for two people to eat at. Could use more outlets for electronics. I had to unplug a lamp.

Perfect location for Cosmetology State Board test.. Close to test site and right across the street from the Galleria and Americana which are two of the nicest malls you'll ever find.

5 minutes to Griffith Park and walking distance from the Glendale Galleria. Great bargain

Found this hotel to be just ok. Loved that the location was across the street from the Galleria and Americana Shopping complex. That was a plus!! The hotel staff was not friendly at all, hair dryer did not work so had to buy one. The hotel amenities said that it had continental breakfast, which I don't consider hard donuts, coffee and juice. The apples […] and oranges were old and moldy. Two out of the three days we were there, no donuts. Asked front desk for more, but said they ran out! During our stay the ice machine was "broken" they said. But on the last day, we were at the pool and saw the front desk staff go to the ice machine and plugged it in. What were they saving??? Was not happy!!! We had to purchase ice every day, while they had the machine unplugged. Mehr

The lobby smelled strongly of pet urine. The room was so small that the TV was on the bureau beside the bed, which made viewing awkward. Not worth it for the price.

This was my second visit to the Vagabond. Friendly helpful staff; comfortable room. Great location, within walking distance of The Americana which is fantastic. Will definitely stay here again

The important thing on this particular trip was to find hotels that were pet friendly. It was the first time that we traveled with a dog and a puppy at that. We stayed at 2 hotels at the beginning of the trip and then again on the return. All of them pet friendly, clean, comfortable and places to eat were locally available.

As I searched for a hotel to stay in, I specified that I wanted someplace that had breakfast and internet access as part of the search criteria. When I got to the hotel, I found that breakfast was bad coffee and a box of stale donuts. This is no exaggeration -- this is exactly what was provided. Internet access was very spotty, and dropped frequently […] (I was on the 2nd floor near the middle of the hotel – room location may impact this). Finally, it was just dirty. The wall next to the shower had a long hair stuck to it, and the carpets were filthy. I will not be staying there again. Mehr

Booked Vagabond Inn, Glendale through hotels.com at close to hundred nightly rate which consider it is not that bad when it's around the Los Angeles area. Two of us stayed 3 nights during a mid-week in June and we were happy. Inn provided free wifi, free parking, swimming pool, elevator, free breakfast. We arrived in the late afternoon and the young […] lady staff helped us to check-in. However, she did not provide me some info until I asked such as breakfast time, if local call was free, hours of the swimming pool. One good thing was, she arranged us the guestroom at the top floor to avoid the noise from the guests about you. There was an elevator in the hotel which saved us hassle from hauling suitcases from ground to above. Room was clean and no problem. We just need a place to sleep so that other than free wifi and free parking, nothing much that we cared for amenities. Guestroom that we were arranged located near to the front of the hotel where the staff indicated the wifi signal was very poor at the back part of it so mind you to get the right room if you need to get connected wifi. There was some noise when we turned on the in-room A/C and a technician was sent to inspect. He was helpful, and quickly found out the loosen fan motor screws was the issue. He tightened the screws and noise suppressed to almost 0db. Location was good and was not that ghetto than we originally thought. The Americana at Brand (built in 2007) just a few steps away which we did not know there was a beautiful out door shopping area close to Vagabond Inn when we made the reservation. Google "The Americana at Brand" and you know what it has. Also Glendale Galleria, the indoor shopping mall just next to The Americana. On-site parking at night seemed to be safe and no issue found. Front desk staff should provide you a note that you need to show up on your dash board every night. It was a mid-week during our stay so that parking was never full as seen.
