Hilton Tucson East - Tucson

This is a great place to stay. Very nice. I would stay there again.

This hotel was wonderful, comfortable & had excellent customer service!

We were very pleased with our stay. The price, the room, the continental breakfast and the evening social were great. The executive room was well worth the extra cost and we hope to stay there again...soon.

This is a very nice hotel, but a little drive from the freeway. Otherwise, it is a nice place to stay.

The room, location, staff and overall hotel were excellent. I did however not like that hotels.com states that this hotel has a bath with jets..i was looking very forward to a bath and I did not get to take one. Two, both ice machines were out of ice, but once I called a staff member did come to my room promptly and delivered ice to me.

Really appreciated the free internet service. Would have liked a mini fridge in the room.

I live in Phoenix and go to Tucson every year for my solo getaway. I usually book a hotel out by the airport but wanted something closer to shopping and restaurants. This place fit the bill perfectly -- a stone's throw from several retail chains, malls and restaurants and a good deal. Pros: -- My room and bed were super comfy! I must have had a room […] with an updated bathroom because mine functioned perfectly and was very nicely maintained. -- Kitchen/restaurant on site are open late. -- Service was very good. -- Common areas were comfortable. Enjoyed the lobby fountain. Cons: -- Do not .... I repeat DO NOT waste your money on the overpriced, mediocre breakfast buffet. Plenty of better options in the neighborhood. -- The AC was LOUD ... like sleep-disrupting loud ... when it came on at night ... which wasn't often since I am always cold and the hottest part of the summer was behind us here in Arizona. The sheets and towels were clean, the carpets vacuumed, the shower smelled good. No complaints at all! Will definitely stay again! Ps.. Very tasty breakfast buffet.

Room was clean. The staff was nice.

Hilton is close to where our son and his wife live so it's easy to connect with them. It's also a very nice hotel in a nice part of Tucson.

Charge 5$ for a fridge. $20/person for a breakfast in the restaraunt and they are sly about acting as if it is complimentary. The room was good and my price was fair. I would not have rated it so high if I paid the regular rate!

On the plus side, the hotel was clean, and near many restaurants and shops; staff was friendly and accommodating; room was good size, quiet, clean, comfortable. A few minor negatives in the room I stayed in: A/C is noisy (just turn it off), free internet connection stalled a few times (call desk to have them reset); faucet handles were at funky angles […] and you had to finesse them to make sure they stopped water from dripping (small effort); the shower floor is improperly angled away from the drain so water pools in the back corner near the door threatening to overflow (just keep your eye on it and push the water toward the drain with your foot). Other than these small inconveniences, it was a great experience in a nice hotel for a great price. Mehr

The internet worked in the room, which is a plus, since the hotel becomes my office while I travel. I didn't like that the room I was given had an unbearable noise coming from the walls/ceiling. Our stay was very nice . the beds were some of the most comfortable I've ever slept in . Staff was most accommodating. Pool area was good at best . I will be staying there quit a bit when in Tucson. Thanks, Linda

The room had an annoying humm from the outside all night that made it difficult to sleep. I heard it in the hallway as well so not too sure if it was just all the ac units running. The maintenance was not very good either, the faucets in the bathrooms were finicky where you could turn them any direction and was hard to shut the water off. I traveled to Tucson for work. Finding the Marriott sold out, I stayed at the Hilton East. Upon arriving at 6:30 p.m. on a Monday night I was told, 'oh something happened, we need to have housekeeping make up a room, can we buy you a drink in the bar or can you come back in 30 minutes'? After traveling all day from the east coast, I just wanted to go […] to my room. When I came back they had a room for me -- on the pet-friendly second floor (which I read in reviews of this hotel online that this was a dicey floor to stay on due to the potential for barking dogs). I asked to be moved to another floor and was met with a shockingly rude reply of 'absolutely not, we just cleaned that room for you'. That made me ask for the supervisor on duty. He was understanding of my concern, looked for another room but then told me that the hotel was sold out that night but would try to move me the next day. The next day, while working at the desk in my room, out of the corner of my eye I saw something move on the wall under the air conditioner. It was a 2-and-a-half-inch cockroach. Disgusting, shocking, made me jump out of my chair. I called the front desk and told the clerk that answered -- she screamed and sent housekeeping to remove it (I killed it with my shoe after I took a picture of it on my phone -- be glad Hotels.com does not offer a way to post pics in our reviews). Had I already not paid for the whole 6 night stay in advance through Hotels.com, I would have left and gone anywhere else. As the review title states, do not stay at this Hilton. Mehr

The Hilton Tucson East is an unexpected pleasure located close to connecting highways. It's a great value for anyone having business in Tucson. Our room was very clean, Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, and room service offered everything on the restaurant menu at exactly the same price! That said, there are a few nitpicks. Our room wasn't cleaned after our […] first night!? We notified the desk and they immediately took care of the problem and every other day (10 in all) everything was exceptional. I loved the flat-screen TV, but the menu was an inconvenience. We frequently had to travel to several floors before we found sufficient ice. And the biggest disappointment was the prices for anything from the restaurant. I need to take medication with milk and when I priced a pint of skim milk they quoted a price that would get me a whole gallon at a nearby drugstore - needless to say, we ate someplace else every day. They had microwaves and small refrigerators available for rent an additional daily fee, and there was no continental breakfast offered. These nitpicks aside, the view was wonderful and the service exemplary. Mehr

We decided to go to Tucson at last minute from Albuquerque. We booked at last minute and the hotel was great, the only complaint we had was being by the trash compactor. It was a little loud, but didnt last long . All and all it was a great.

I loved the stay in Hilton Tucson :) it was a fun experience. The Hotel was beautiful and the beds where very comfortable. I loved the Peter Thomas Roth products in the bathroom :) The window had a great mountain view.... I will come back here again :)

Hotel is very nice, room was clean and beds were the best! very comfy...I only complaint is,had a problem with the plumbing in the restroom shower. Come on Paris get it fixed!...lol

ALICIA is awesome and gave outstanding customer service with quality and professionalism. She was the front desk clerk. Very friendly and caring about our every need.

I really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was very professional and courteous. Rooms were clean and had a very comfortable atmosphere. Thank you!

The only negative about the hotel was its location and the traffic. Otherwise, our stay was very good.

I had two separate reservations because of a adding a night and wanting the lowest rate possible... they were very friendly about making it easy to stay in the same room. I always appreciate friendliness and enthusiasm!

Hotel was great except a/c unit was extremely loud.

We got a good deal through Hotels.com but the hotel itself has probably seen better days. The room was outdated and didn't appear to be very clean. The staff was great though. The pool was microscopic and the hotel is sort of off the beaten path and not particularly close to the things we were interested in doing. Overall, it was okay but probably won't […] be going back. The room was comfortable enough, yet the AC unit was overly loud and disturbing. We had to shut it off during the night and turn it back on when it became too stuffy. The next time I will upgrade the room so at least I would have a restful nights sleep.

Overall the stay was okay. The beds and the room were comfortable but the bathroom wasn't very clean. There was a dead insect in the shower light and some serious mold and mildew in the tile grout.

I have stayed here many times but was reallly disappointed this last time. We asked for a quiet room and were put near a neighbor who talked loudly on his cellphone in the hall off and on all night. Also, we were located near some smoking rooms which I wasn't happy about although we were assured the smell would only be in the hallway. However since […] I had asthma symptoms all night I believe the smoke still bothered me. It was obvious our room used to also be a smoking room as there were cigarette burns in the carpeting and furniture. The air conditioning didn't seem to work efficiently, and the room remained hot even when the thermostat was set quite low. The AC unit clanked and rattled all night, making it difficult to sleep. Also, there was a gap under the door which let too much light and noise into the room from the hallway. The lightbulb for the lamp next to the bed on the alarm clock side was burned out. Also, there was no fan in the bathroom to vent it which was very bothersome to my husband. I have always enjoyed this hotel before as it is very conveniently located and in the past I have found it to be comfortable. However this time the pillows were so lumpy I could not find a single one that was comfortable. Also, the furnishing showed a lot of wear which made the room look shabby and dated. I will not stay here again unless the price is much lower. Mehr
