The hotel is right off a freeway exit so trying to get onto the property from the streets is dangerous when other drivers come flying off the freeway. The rooms with the queen beds are lovely, and the hotel is near a gas station and a Safeway shopping plaza. The staff are terrible. My sister & I were blatantly ignored by the three receptionists on duty […] when we arrived. They even offered to serve white customers that had arrived after us, before us, like we were not theres to stay. When they could not ignore us anymore thanks to the white customers refusing to jump the line, the indian lady that helped me was condescending. She even went into the backroom and discussed my foreign last name with a hispanic girl, laughing and joking like I could not hear them. Also when they were helping white customers, the offered info on breakfast times, offered baggage services, etc etc. My sister & I did not receive this info. The staff need a lesson in service. I don't care what black people do up north, a customer is a customer. We should all be treated equally. Mehr

I booked two rooms under different names. The reservationist did not see my 2nd room. Why aren't these rooms "bundled" so that the reservationist would have little problem as well as the traveler identifying the booking. I was attending a funeral and probably didn't have the presence of mind to remember. Cleanliness of the room was the most redeeming quality. The location was random; as it was located between a furniture store and gas station. The adjacent restaurant was subpar, for the price. The hotel staff was inefficient and plates of food were left in the hallways for extended lengths of time.

Everything was as expected or better.

My partner and I stayed for two nights for a wedding. The room was clean and it worked for what we were wanting - a place to shower and sleep, that was safe. I booked through Hotels.com as the Hotel's website wanted to charge me over $150/night. I would stay there again for the price I was able to get through hotels.com, but I personally would not spend […] over $90/night for this place. The pool is small for how many rooms they have, so if you are going for the relaxation by a pool, I wouldn't recommend it. The hotel is right next to a freeway, a furniture store and a gas station - not what I would call an appealing surrounding, although the rooms were relatively quiet considering this. Since I was there for a wedding I was incredibly disappointed in the service for this occasion-the hotel did not pay attention to details. The linens that covered the chairs for the ceremony were incredibly wrinkled with obvious fold lines, the food was horrible- I have had better tasting fish out of a box. The wait staff was scraping remaining food from the plates onto a plate in the middle of the dining room while some guests were still eating, which I find to be tacky-that's what a kitchen is for. The "aisles" were made of paper/lacey material that had ripped before the ceremony even started. As a place to stay while you are on the road -it's clean and safe, has a small gym and small pool, but it's nothing memorable. Mehr

When checking in the hotel, the front desk lady was not in a great mood. She was there again the next morning and i approached her about breakfast and she wasn't very nice. Might want to work on her manners.

Room/surroundings were great (except the air conditioner fan in the room was very loud) Another issue was that we didn't get the expected breakfast coupons in the adjoining restaurant. It appears release of the coupons depended on who checked you in. For the price of this hotel, I had expected more. Room was very small. Had been updated in the past few years but was obviously an older hotel that had been remodeled. Pool lighting in sink area made it hard to shave. I would not stay here again.

Had a very nice stay. Brought a friend with me who stayed at the hotel while I was at a convention. Breakfast was convenient and good. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I reserved online and the reservation form and my confirmation indicated pets were allowed. I have a 6.5 lb Pomeranian (very well behaved). There was no mention of a pet charge. When I arrived, the desk clerk advised me there would be a $50 NON-REFUNDABLE pet charge. Nowhere in my reservation charge was there an indication of such a charge - or that […] I would be relegated to a "pet section." I told them I would not pay the fee and showed them my confirmation which had no such charge. A spoke to management and they still refused. I told them they could refund my reservation charge and cancel my reservation (this after a half-hour of wasted time arguing with them - at 9:30PM). They refused. I finally got them to agree to accepting a refundable $50 deposit and they gave me the room. I will not stay with this hotel chain again - ever. I advise anyone traveling with pets to avoid this hotel, and to confirm any charges for pets. I also request that Hotels.Com indicate in their reservation and confirmation whether there is a charge. I thought the service was excellent, the look of the lobby and grounds was very nice. But when it came to the rooms I was less than satisfied. I stayed there twice, both times the pillows were uncomfortable and the sheets were itchy. I had to have maintenance fix the heater on both occasions. The shower didn't keep hot water for very long. The walls […] are thin so I could hear the neighbors watch TV. Maybe if I stayed in the towers it would be a different story. Mehr

Overall the hotel cleanliness/staff is decent. The problem is there is no elevator....only stairs. So, if the bellman is busy or on a shuttle run you have to drag everything up and down the stairs yourself. They mentioned they did remodeling. Why not add a simple yet necessary item like an elevator? The other issue is that you are right under a major […] flight path so you get lots of plane noise. In my case I can sleep through this, but for any that are light sleepers it could keep you up. We did get a free breakfast, which was nice. The breakfast was ok, but nonetheless free. Mehr

I like the location near the 101 Hwy and the availability of restaurant and coffee shop within the hotel.

I thought the name Biltmore still meant something but this place was a let down. The web site and photo display at the desk both showed free weights in the fitness center and none existed. My garden view room had a view to the back door of the kitchen and the only garden was a planter with shrubs. The room was ground level and smelled old and musty […] . Mehr

Very comfortable and good value. Bed was great!

I called in advance to request a room with a refrigerator and microwave since we were staying 3 nights. They said sure, no problem. I asked if there was an additional charge and they said no. Of course, I didn't have either in my room when I got there. Upon checking with the front desk, I was told there would be a $20 per item per night charge for the […] refrigerator and microwave. That amounted to an extra $120 for the 3 nights. Ridiculous! Such business practices are unethical in my opinion. Mehr

Small shower, small room, A/C unit struggled to keep the room under 75 degrees. The restaurant was ok. Be prepared to make a lot of U-turns getting to and from the hotel.

Nice place to spend a relaxing time. They served a great buffet breakfast and the beds were so comfortable. The gym and pool/spa were also a treat! Would recommend to anyone!

The hotel staff filled every need we had! The suite iteself was very comfortable and offered home-away-from-home comfort. Everyone was very polite, helpful and welcoming every time we came back for the evening. We were overwhelmingly pleased with our stay. Thank you, Biltmore Hotel & Suites! We had a fabulous first-family-vacation!

Our arrival to the Biltmore was great! The Marble floors, the colums and piano in the lobby gave the feelling of real prestige. We were pleasently surprised when we were asked about scheduling our shuttle to and from Great America. Not having to worry about parking and transpotation to the park gave us more of a relaxed feeling and allowed us to have […] more fun! When we got to our room we noticed a stinch of a smell to the room, we sat with the door opened for what seemed like 20 minutes to air it out. Each time we closed the door the stinch built up again and the door had to be opend again. The request to move to a new room was not given because the hotel was booked for the weekend with wedding guest and birthday party guest. All and all we will stay there again just not in the same room or on any of the 1st floors. Mehr

Biltmore Hotel is a barely renovated expressway motel. Dollars went into the lobby, not into the rooms. They put granite on the vanities and think its quality while the beds are covered in nasty Bed-in-a-bay linens so worn that I wouldn't give them to a thrift store. The parking lot had a dumpster that had old matresses stacked against it taking up […] parking spaces. Pay a few dollars more to stay at the newer Hilton or Marriott a mile up the road. Mehr

It's all about the bed. I stay in hotels to get a little bit of free internet, a shower...and a bed. If you can't get the bed right....repeat customers will be very few. I slept on a peice of carboard essentially. I had a downstairs room right off the lobby. I don't know if all the beds are that bad. The hotel was clean and nice other than that.

breakfast not to be missed

Pros: Nice hotel. Convenient location. Tower room has 2 separate desks which is a nice setup for 2 separate laptops. Breakfast buffet was great. Great for business stopover. Classic look and designs which is nice. Cons: We took the weekend "special" package which has free internet access and breakfast. When we arrived we were told no free internet access […] and no free breakfast. I had to contact hotels.com to straighten that out which was a hassle... but essentially I had to show my booking info to get that. They only give the breakfast coupon per day. On the 2nd day the same hassle again for us to get the breakfast. This maybe something between hotels.com and the hotel but as a guest I'd expect NOT to have to deal with this on a daily basis. Next, the air conditioner was somehow "locked" to a certain setting (ie. the control has no effects when turned colder). This make me think that on hot days I may have to open the window (about 2 inches opening slot) and have to sleep with "minimal" clothing... :) Overall, I would stay again... but would also consider other alternatives. Small comfortable room. Overall a good stay for someone visiting the Computer History Museum or those visiting the tech sector.
