Stayed here for a long weekend with my boyfriend recently. We did upgrade when checking in as a few others had suggested and were happy that we did! The room was lovely, the beds were comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly. The price including the upgrade, we felt in comparison to some other hotels nearby was really reasonable. The location […] was only a few minutes walk from the main st but far enough out not to feel like you were in the middle of the town - could easily walk in and out each night in heels without complaining!! Overall had a really lovely weekend and a great stay, would definitely consider staying here again. Mehr

Very comfortable, plenty of public areas for relaxing. Beautiful view of the mountains. Excellent stay.

Excellent value for money. Top marks on every variable with just one exception. After a lovely sleep we were awoken to the sound of a door in the corridor repeatedly opening and closing. The consequent banging noise from as early as 8:00 am disrupted our planned lazy morning. This noise was exacerbated by the sound of a vacuum cleaner thereafter. While […] I can understand the latter the former I believe could have been prevented. Upon inspection the door was one used by staff members. I suggest that it be altered or adjusted to ensure that it doesn't make so much noise when banging shut, especially so early in the morning. Mehr

Warm and inviting. Great service. Good location. Free parking.

This hotel is more like an old age home, we didn't see anyone under 70 In the whole place. We were disappointed with the decor and the breakfast.

Great Room. Great Location. Very Friendly Staff. Only one problem so let's get that over with...the room got cold at night. We had the heat set between 2 and 3 on the dial and that was enough that housekeeping opened the windows during the day (we closed them when we got back at dinner time). When we went to bed the room was very comfortable but about […] 4 am the room was very cold and the heat would not come on...the front desk staff that morning explained it stating that the heat cycles off at 2am and does not come back on until 6am. But other than that, the room was great(although missing one light switch dial) and VERY comfortable. Staff was fantastic, with great suggestions for places to visit and eat. Breakfast was very good and dinner at the Bistro next door was fantastic. Definite recommended stay if visiting Killarney. Mehr

Great hotel old world charm, less than a five minute walk to town. Would recommend this hotel as it is not right in town full of noise. Clean hotel and safe neighbourhood

Excellent location abouit five minutes walk to the main shoppping areas, lively pubs and nice restaurantsin the town centre and conveniently located to get to the National Park and all the must see areas of Killarney and its surrounds.

This hotel has a real "Old World" feel. It is full of beautiful and unusual antique furnishings. It was a delight to just explore and discover the treasures. The rooms are clean with all the modern conveniences.

Absolutely luved this hotel!! Beautiful hotel and perfect location, the friendliest staff, just all around great place. the location is perfect - just a few min walk to city center. We also hiked to Ross Castle, Muckross Abbey, Muckross House and Torc waterfall all in one evening. It was great! You've got to stay here!

brilliant weekend the staff could not do enough. Went with my boyfriend for the weekend - we are both in our twenties. very impressed with the breakfast also. Staff were so helpful, will definately be back again

From the price quoted on the website I expected a decent but not spectacular 4 star hotel. When we arrived it was clear that this was not the case. The first impression of this hotel was not good. The underground car park was in desperate need of a power hose and some paint. Upon entering the hotel, the lobby is pretty understated, something I'm not […] too concerned about, and the concierge was friendly. The room was a disaster. I wasn't expecting anything grand but what we got was an absolute disgrace. Wall paper hanging off the walls, graffiti on the walls which was over 3 years old by dint of the fact that the offender had signed it '2008'. The toilet seat was coming off the toilet, there was mold on the bathtub, damp damage on the ceiling, the wall lamps were literally falling off the walls. in short, a nightmare. We decided to complain about the state of the room and the receptionist was very accomodating and upgraded us to their signature room. This room was more along the lines of what I would expect from a middling 4 star hotel. Apart from the rooms, the breakfast was nice as everything was freshly made and the continental buffet was pretty standard, nothing to write home about. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone unless you plan to stay in one of the signature rooms or the junior suite, and even then I think the rooms are a bit overpriced. Mehr

Nice comfortable hotel. Could be tricky if you have kids or people not great with stairs as this hotel has lots! Animal friendly hotel. Be prepared for early mornings too as the corridors can be quite noisy in the morning. not sure if it housekeeping staff but very noisy areound the 8o'clock mark everyday we were there. But would go back.

Killarney was the best part of our Ireland trip and this hotel added to our wonderful experience. While driving from Dublin we wanted to make sure that we still had our hotel reservations because we were running behind so we called and the receptionist gave us very good directions, which our gps didn't, and we got to the hotel shortly after. Upon checking […] in, everything was explained to us very well and we were also debating if we should upgrade our room, she gave us both sets of keys and said you let me know which room you want. Location was pretty centrally located as it was a 5 minute walk to the city center. Breakfast was quite expensive but other than that we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends and family as well. Mehr

We loved this hotel. It's charming and the staff are fabulous. We took advantage of the spa which has a wonderfully warm pool and the steam room is really nice and hot. I love the sitting room with the roaring fire. It was the perfect place to relax and enjoy a good book. Breakfast was perfect and I can imagine in the summer time that it is so fabulous […] to sit out side on their veranda. It's a very short walk (about 10 minutes) from the bus station/town center. About a 10-15 minute walk to the City Center. Parking lot on site. Bed was very comfortable.

Our double room was big and spacious with a queen-sized bed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a lovely warm fire lighting in the lounge area. Breakfast was good. The style and decor of the hotel is old fashioned but has all the facilities of a modern hotel. Bathroom facilities in ensuite were clean and modern. No tea-making facilities […] in the room was the only thing missing. All in all old-worldy, welcoming, comfortable, clean and very good value for money Mehr

We had a lovely 4 night stay here. The hotel is well situated just a short walk from town and also a stroll to the national park. The hotel is full of antique furniture, well placed and comfortable. Open fires, candles in the drawing room, lovely coffee, excellent breakfasts(we did not eat dinner there), even a pool. I would highly recommend it for […] a stay and will be returning! Mehr

Hotel location was great - 5 minute walk to main shopping/restaurant area. Hotel seemed a little old - could use an update. Check-in was fast, and staff was helpful.

Older couple traveling with young teenagers. This is a terrific hotel - clean - great bed - excellent, friendly staff. A nice bar - lovely breakfast - all that AND an indoor pool!

Travelled as a group of 6 young adults and we all loved this hotel. Great location, close to Killarney town centre. Clean, comfortable, impressive hotel. Never ate in restaurant so cant comment on it but breakfast was lovely. Only complaint would be lack of atmosphere in residents bar but with any amount of pubs in walking distance this is not major […] prob. Would stay again and recommend it to others of any age. Mehr

Everything about this hotel was great. We only stayed one night but will be back! If I had to find a fault it would be that the old fashioned decor is a bit overpowering but that's just personal taste, it probably appeals to some.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided was great as was the service. I only used the pool once but I found the facilities clean and relaxing. The bar in the hotel was usually quiet and a nice place to relax and have a drink and when the weather was nice we could sit outside and watch the world go […] by. The service was great, everyone treated us well and dealt with our enquiries promptly. There was a problem with the elevator one day and there is only one available (as far as I could tell), this wasn't a problem for us but could be for someone with a disability. We didn't eat dinner at the hotel so I can't comment on that. We wanted a relaxing comforatable, quiet hotel and that's exactly what we got. Mehr

The hotel is beautiful and overlooks the mountains. A short walk to the town. The hotel is not on the lake as we were led to believe but is very close.

I stayed with my girlfriend on a Friday and Saturday night. The hotel was clean however was far from modern and spacious, the corridors were cluttered with antiques, tables, lamps etc. which may appeal to some but not to me. The location was good and was just a short walk to the centre, also the staff were very friendly and helped us out with directions, […] taxis etc Mehr

I picked this hotel for its convenient location and I do not regret. I really appreciated the charm of the decoration and the kindness of the employee

Un hotel qui a été.. Pas de restaurant sur place, mais dans l'hotel voisin.N'oubliez pas votre bonnet de bain si vous utilisez la piscine.

The hotel was very nice and easy to find in Killarney. The staff was helpful and very friendly. We were able to store our bikes for the night which was excellent. The twin room was pretty and clean. The beds were very comfortable.
