we got in late. the front desk guy was nice on check in. our room was 3rd floor. we had a large water puddle in front of the door. not sure where the water came from. we wadded through the water and entered the room. the old air conditioning did not work. the worker came and got it running. it was loud. he did not know why the puddle was blocking the […] door nor why the carpet in entry was wet. the are is really loud. they had a swap meet next door to the hotel which started very early. the hotel did not every check on us about the water incident. the room seemed old and worndown. i thought this was a 3 star, more like a cheap hotel 6. would not recomend. oh but the lobby is nice, but didnt spend much time there. The hotel was nice, it's very big!! Clean, great beds, I honestly can't see how people could complain about it at all! Restaurant next door and phils BBQ were fantastic. Only downfall (and it's not the hotels fault) is it was not a good location for us but our own mistake not there's! The hotel is was good and thestaff were very efficient. The major complaint was the WiFi connection was so weak in our room that it was not worth even trying to use it. The signal would fall off periodically and apparently did not have enough bandwidth. The speed sometimes sometimes slowed to a crawl. A good place to stay if you do not need WiFi.

When we checked in, another guest was speaking with hotel staff about stolen articles from their room. The room was small, which was ok, but had a musty smell, that was not ok. There was some sort of convention/gathering for young adults that filled the surrounding rooms and made the stay very noisy. The parking lot was packed and at 3am several car […] alarms went off from a busy tow truck hauling cars away. We were anxious to wake up and leave the hotel as early as we could the next morning. At check-out, a guest was complaining that their car got towed because they were unaware that the parking pass needed to be placed on their dash. We will not stay at this hotel again. Mehr

I WALKED INTO OUR ROOM WITH MY FAMILY, AND THE ROOM WE HAD BEEN DESIGNATED HAD NOT BEEN CLEANED AND WAS STILL A BIG MESS FROM THE PREVIOUS GUEST. WE WERE REASSIGNED A NEW ROOM AND ALL WENT GREAT FROM THERE.

The hotel was clean overall. We stayed in a junior suite with a sofa. We found it a little strange that the bed was pretty much in the bathroom with little room between the bed and the sink. After about 10 of checking in, we received a phone call asking if we needed anything. We requested a couple of extra towels and they never arrived.

There were homeless people, day laborers, and random people wandering through the property at all hours of the day and night. Parking was free but the spaces are compact so if you have an SUV good luck getting in and out without having your doors hit by other car doors. The office staff was nice and friendly but that is the only positive thing I can […] say. The room smelled like cheap air freshener and sewage gas. There was a strange buzzing noise coming from behind the wall which finally stopped around 11:00 pm. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything around you, including people pushing shopping carts through the complex at all hours of the night. The satellite television only got about half the channels it had listed and took approximately 2 minutes to switch between channels. The beds were comfortable but they were full beds, not Queen as we asked for when we made the reservation. This isn't the quality we've come to expect from Wyndham. 1st 2 days there was no hot water. We'd let the water run for 10 minutes and it was still cold. They said they'd send someone from maintenance up to check and they never showed up. 2nd, the wifi worked but the internet connection was either too slow, over burdened, or just plain bad. I couldn't even pull down email it was that bad the entire time I […] was there, three-four days. I called the front desk numerous times asking to fix it. They sent me to the IT help desk and nothing was ever fixed. Third, the hotel is running a non-related a taxi service out of the gift shop. When I walk in there, I didn't feel welcome. Felt like I was intruding. Asked for quarters for the hotel laundry facility and they weren't willing to give me more than a couple dollars. Also, the elevators operating permits have expired. Last and most frustrating, the parking corridors are very small and confined. The parking area is large but requires multiple turns (forward/reverse) pulling into a spot. There are three large planter boxes in the middle of this confined parking area that take up a lot of that space. I accidentally backed into one. You can't see how tall they are or where the edge of the bushes are relative to the edge of the concrete planter box. The damage was minimal but those planter boxes take up, 5 additional feet that could widen the parking corridors. Poor design, poor hotel ownership, poor hotel maintenance, poor hotel all together. Good online special but the room was literally tucked into a corner. Plenty of parking. In room coffee and appliances like hair dryer & iron for those on business trips. Room was very comfortable after a long drive and the Bakery was exceptional.

Location of hotel was great BUT I think it was very expensive considering the look/size of the rooms. We reserved a suite with a bunkbed for my sons. First of all, the bunkbeds were located right when you open the doors. The queen size bed was located on the other side separated by glass doors that dont close properly and SQUEEKS. My two kids love the bunk bed, this has been our 5th time staying at the hotel. The only concern is the parking situation is very difficult especially if the family comes in a truck , SUV, van. Parking is very tight!

The hotel is in a great location, but the rooms are run down and old. The pool is opened late and kids were screaming well into the night which made it difficult to sleep. I would not choose to stay there again.

Our whole family vacation experience was almost ruined because of this hotel, and location. FAMILIES BE AWARE!!! A lot of shady people roaming around. The location is close to gentelmen's clubs, busy street, therefore a lot of noice. Motel type rooms with not sufficient noice protection. Couldn't get good rest and left unsatisfied!!!

Just one issue....called the resort to confirm unit type and it was incorrect. Had me down for a queen suite and purchased a King. Told me no problem and corrected. Got to resort early morning no early check in available spoke with front desk to again confirm room...same scenario had me in a queen suite rather than the king. Once again "corrected" on […] the spot. Later that afternoon come back to finally check in went thru the resort information rcvd my keys got to the room and low and behold a queen suite. Had to go back tot the front desk and have them change the room for a third time. Provided my confirmation paperwork to prove the unit type I had paid for and they finally got it right. Just very stressing as I had my entire family with me. Aside, from that resort is nice...enjoy the pool being open as late as it is along with the pool side bar. Dupars...loved it. Mehr

I was disappointed with the size of our room. There were 4 of us in a very small room. There was no room for all of our luggage. We actually keep tripping over our luggage and bumping into each other. I wished that I had went to the front desk to request a bigger room but we were so tired from our 10 hour road trip that we just settled. The beds were […] comfortable though. Also. Hotel is close to lots of restaurants (and every major fast food chains), and major attractions. Room was clean. The service was very slow to non-existent. The phone in our room didn't work, so we told the front desk, who called maintenance, but they never showed. We had to keep asking for towels at the pool. They do not carry Disney or Nickelodeon […] channels, so if you stay at the hotel with kids, bring a DVD player or laptop. Free parking is nice, but parking spaces are tight. Mehr

Hotel was in a good location as far as being close to SeaWorld and old town,but i was nervous when I made the wrong turn and just behind the hotel there were several guys that appeared to be homeless. There was security walking back and fourth all night long and their two way radios were very loud. The front desk was very friendly. Ahead reservation made for 2 queen beds n sofa bed . When arrived they didn't have wat I reserved they gave me a room with 2 full side beds n sofa bed to where we didn't all fit in beds . They didn't provide breakfast the resturant next door was to expensive n food wasn't great. Wouldn't stay in this hotel again.

They did not have us booked fora handycap room as requested. Had to call the front desk twice due to loud partying in next room. It was not handled correctly. Party started again at 4:30 AM next morning. Would not go back.

There were definite pluses and minuses. The walls must have been paper thin, because the traffic/airport/passersby noise could get quite bothersome. The staff, with the exception of James (the shuttle driver who I will mention separately) seemed overwhelmed, understaffed and not very friendly. We chose this hotel because we were in San Diego to go to SeaWorld and it is less than a mile away. The hotel is giant, several buildings, and the parking lot didn't seem to be able to accommodate all the guests. We had a junior suite, which has a separate bedroom and a mini fridge and microwave, which was nice. Both rooms had a tv but we couldn't get […] the one in the bedroom to work. Wifi is complimentary but spotty. The room was clean enough but really in need of upgrading. AC in the living area only with a ventilating fan in between the rooms so my kids were cold at night and my husband and I were hot. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially Jarrett at the front desk. The price of the hotel was good. We were only there for 2 nights so it was ok, but I would not have wanted to be here for longer than that. Mehr
