Super Hotel, schöne Zimmer, angenehme Betten, netter Empfang, rundum zufrieden!
"Great bed, no hot tub"
We had a great stay. Our room had a nice patio and the bed was amazing! We were totally surprised that the pool area didn't have hot tub. Kind unusual for a higher-end hotel. But everything else was great. The on-site restaurant is delish!
"Comfortable elegance"
We enjoyed our stay at The Loretto. We traveled with friends for a long weekend getaway. We liked the location next to the Loretto Chapel, and just off the plaza. The room was spacious, lovely and the bedding and pillows very comfortable. We only spent one night, as we were on our way down to Carlsbad, and my only regret was that we couldn't stay long […] long enough to avail ourselves of any of the property amenities, especially since there was a $14 charge per day. Hotel check-in and out was very fast, and the front desk staff was cheerful and helpful. My only comments are that the elevator was small and slow, and since there were prom kids and convention people there, it made waits rather long. Also, the bell staff could be better trained - he stood by and watched as I struggled to open the door and pull my suitcase at the same time. Otherwise, very nice place, would stay there again, and would recommend. Mehr

very good great location. the hotel could use some updating. there was not a bell man to help you with your luggage which i found odd. overall very nice i would stay there again.
"The Best Hotel in Town!"
Our family had an excellent 1 night stay at Loretto Hotel. Located right in the middle of the Old Town Santa Fe, looks very stylish from the outside and absolutely amazing inside - lots of local culture and history in the decor. Nicely decorated room, comfy beds, huge patio with a view of the mountains and old town. We also had a great evening at the […] bar with live music! Would stay again and again! Mehr

"Great location in heart of Santa Fe"
Once you park your car with valet, you may not have to use it again until you check out of the hotel. It is truly in the heart of Santa Fe, and an easy walk to the shops, galleries and restaurants. I wouldn't necessarily call Loretto a first-class hotel, but is just below that. It was a nice two day stay for us.

"Inn & Spa at Loretto, Santa Fe, NM"
The hotel was small and quaint. It was very convenient to shops and restaurants. It was a slow time in Santa Fe, and the hotel was very quiet. The staff was very friendly and attentive, but the hotel seemed understaffed. The concierge was either answering the switchboard or excusing herself to tend to unruly teenagers on another floor, while assisting […] us. Since my husband and I were traveling with our 2 teenagers, we got connecting rooms. The room with 2 queen beds was a good size with a great walk in shower. Our room with a king bed had a nice sitting area with a leather couch and 2 leather wing chairs, but the bathroom was small with only a pedestal sink and the closet was behind the bathroom door. This wasn't a problem for us since we hung our clothes in the kids closet, which was easily assessible. Had we not had that option, it would have been inconvenient. Otherwise, the rooms were clean, nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. The food at the hotel's restaurant, Luminaire, was awesome! We ate dinner and breakfast there and had 2 great meals. Also, the Santa Fe restaurants recommended by the hotel were very good. Being from New Orleans, we like good food! My son and I tried to go swimming one night, but it was cold outside (probably around low or mid 20's) and the heated pool (supposedly at 85 degrees) was too cold. It would have been nice if the hotel had a hot tub! My daughter and I had facials and she had a manicure at the spa. It was nice and she thought it was awesome since it was her first facial, but in my opinion, it was too expensive. There was no indoor pool, sauna or hot tub to relax in at the spa, so all we got were were services we paid for. All in all, our stay at the Inn and Spa at Loretto was nice, and we got a really good rate on the rooms, but I'd like to check out other options next time I go to Santa Fe. Mehr
"Great Sante Fe Hotel Location"
Recently stayed 3 nights at The Inn and Spa at Loretto. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. Great atmosphere and wonderful location. Would stay there again.
"The BEST in Santa Fe"
I have stayed at many hotels and condos in Santa Fe. This place is the best. The best staff, clean, and friendly. The hotel is not only beautiful, it is close to everything you want in Santa Fe. It is only a block away from the Plaza (only another 10 feet). You can choose to pay more, or try to be closer to the Plaza, but you will not get the service […] that this hotel has. I can't believe how reasonable the hotel prices are; too bad I am telling on them, I bet the prices go up.... Mehr
"Quit nice hotel"
Unfortunately only valid parking available. Nice, clean and quiet rooms. Nice location in downtown area.

"Great Location, Lounge and Ambiance Disappointing"
This is a great hotel if you're looking for something within the Santa Fe Plaza. The hotel is charming and well kept. The staff was pleasant. I was looking for a hotel that hosted a blend of the old Santa Fe charm with a touch of luxury and a modern vibe, all at the same time. The lounge was beautiful and warm centered around a stony fireplace, but […] the place lacked energy. I would have liked to hear good jazz music or something more contemporary to bring out good spirit. During happy hour, and throughout the day, the lounge should be playing music! I can't stand a lounge with dead silence...It just makes me want to leave. The entertainment was weak at best. Particularly on a night like New Years Eve, the guests were fighting to stay awake to ring in the new year. Disappointing venue for a 40's something guest. We had an upgraded room which was on the smaller side, with a tiny bathroom. Pillows were too sparse in the feather department which left them feeling flat. If you want a chill hotel to get away with not alot of excitement, this is the place for you! Mehr
"The Inn and Spa at Loretto, Santa Fe, NM"
1. Shocked to find no courtesy van for such an expensive and upscale place. No taxis insight at the NewMexico RailRunner train. Shuttle is a city bus that stops 1 and1/2 blocks from hotel--we had to lug our luggage through icy streets. 2.Hassle at the check in. We are three adults, fully stated in our reservations that we required a a roomwith two double […] beds. The attendant said his info was that we had one king bed, according to his info. I showed my confirmation and it was honored. The attendant acted correctly--no confidence in your system. 3. The room was as cold inside as outside-it got fixed two tries, good service by the mechanic, but neverworked well. 4.Went to concierge re dinner--we arrived Christmas Eve.She showedonlythe priceiest places--most were full--I reviewed a number of places inher book--the one she recommnded showed dinners for 25-40 weekdays, understanding Christmas would be higher. She never mentioned price--according to her we were lucky to get anything. We never heard the cost from her or at the restaurant til the bill was presented, which was $568, including a huge tip, the only extras were expensive bottle of wine and bottled water. We are stil lpretty furious. We did complain at the hotel-no one defended the concierge, just a lot of"sorrys.I checked the receptionist at theInns' restaurant as to the price of their fixed-price meal. It was well less than half of what we paid, and we probably could have been served there. 5.There were other more minor issues with the conceirge--chronic misinformation--the answer was "theydidn't tell us" One example:we selected a restaurant two block downs the street, with her assurance that it would be open. It was closed on Mondays. Her response:" no body told me." Closed Mondays conspicuously on the building 6. I ordered a beer in the lovely lounge area.I looked for a waiter and finally waived one. She passed off my order to the waiter in whose territory I was in. Twenty minutes later I flagged him down and ma Mehr
"In the Heart of Santa Fe"
Room was not as advertised…a little worn and ordinary but still very decent. Every room has a view, I believe. It’s an unusual hotel, built pueblo-style. You can’t beat the location as it is just off the plaza. Can walk everywhere you’d want to go, just about. We went for the Christmas experience. Santa Fe is beautiful in the wintertime. The Canyon […] Road Christmas Stroll is just a block and a half away…the bustling shopping area ranges from downstairs in the hotel to within two blocks—the plaza a block away, and the beautiful, old St. Francis Cathedral Basilica is just a block away. Bells chimed to call worshipers to midnight Mass and during Christmas Day…very festive and very spiritual and quaint. The famed Loretto Chapel is semi-attached to the hotel—the city offers Christmas concerts there but reserve tickets early! The hotel lobby and grounds are quite nice. Every one of the staff was courteous and helpful. $18 parking/day extra. In-house restaurant, Luminarias (well rated), is expensive; Christmas dinner was $80 per person but booked. Many SF restaurants were booked for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinners, so make early reservations! We had Christmas Day breakfast with entrees running $12-20 range. All in all, a lovely experience. Mehr

"FANTASTIC!"
This hotel was perfect for us. Everything about it is highly pleasing. We were treated royally by all the staff from the moment of check in to the valet helping us pack our car after we checked out. The location couldn't be better; the rooms were very comfortable, pleasing and clean; the lobby is beautiful and the staff is friendly. Loretto Chapel next […] door is a must to experience. We will return! Mehr
"Inn & Spa at Loretto"
Our room lacked a couple of basics: the robe hook in bath had been removed, but nothing in its place. The fan in the bath was not working. In-room coffee supplies had not been stocked; had to call housekeeping. The Eggs Benedict at Luminaria could have been much better with a bit of seasoning. Spa prices were WAY too high for most budgets.
"Can't wait to return!"
We had an excellent stay starting from the moment the valet greeted us at our car. We were road tired when we arrived, left with the feeling we were not ready to go. We enjoyed the Santa Fe experience and will return. By the way, our two dogs were welcomed and they loved the attention from staff and guests alike.
"Not as pictured"
While a great location, immediately across from the plaza shops, everything was just a little different, a little older, not quite as nice, a little worn and weathered, that what was portrayed on the website. The "Kiva" fireplaces so touted, were decorative only. I had gotten the larger, deluxe king room; thank goodness! We barely fit into the bathroom […] at the same time and that was equipped no better than a Holiday Inn hotel. The sheets were worn with a low thrad count, not expected at an upscale resort. And everything was terribly expensive. The most over-hyped and over-priced part of the entire stay, however, was the Luminiara restaurant-skip it! The restaurant at La Fonda, a mere half block away, was cheaper and fabulous. Mehr
"Great place to stay"
Overall, a great hotel. This is the second time we have stayed and the only slight disappointment has been the the lay-out of the rooms - minor issues, but they could be so easily solved, especially for a first rate hotel such as this. Closet was only accessible through Bathroom. Also, there was no mirror except in Bath. A built-in vanity counter would […] have been much more practical than the pedestal sink configuration. There were no hooks in Bath Room for towels or robes. Again, these are minor issues, but the place is so nearly perfect, that these improvements would bring it to that level. Mehr
We booked at the last minute. Had a wonderful stay. The restaurant was also fabulous.
"Hotel Inn & Spa at the Loretto in Santa Fe"
Fantastic hotel, great location, and some of the most friendly staff. Very dog friendly. The room and hotel itself was exceptional which one would expect from a Destinational Hotel.
"Inn At Loretto"
While this hotel gets top ratings I found that many small but usefull amenities were absent. Most top shelf hotels I have stayed at would have a free coffee service in the lobby , often with some type of snack. Loretto in fairness offered fuit in a bowel, but often it was empty, and the few times it wasn't it had a had full of unapatizing green apples. Also […] would say, for a hotel in a tourist area, the concierge was absent frequently from the desk, and would leave early in the evening when you would think that many hotel guests would be looking for dinning suggestions ect. May be a bit picky, but when holiday in express offers a free breakfast and coffee, Loretta needs to step up a bit. Other wise a good experience. Mehr
"Not worth the money"
I found it over priced. The location was good. They make you valet park your car. My room was small and smelled oddly.
"Inn and Spa at Loretto"
After reading the online reviews I booked the Inn for our stay to the opera and the art festival in August. We truely enjoyed the stay, the staff was helpful and the room spacious. We had the view to the cathedral and took the morning coffee on the balcony. Many sights are within walking distance. The bar was quiet during our stay and we had only one […] night cup there. The concierge was very helpful. Overall I would return. Mehr
"Beautiful, but not for everyone"
If you prefer a casual ambience, this hotel is not the best choice. Otherwise, unique and beautiful inside, and ideally located if you want to experience the plaza area. The concierge was very helpful. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant, Luminaria, was wonderful, and the dinner menu looked great as well. A balcony room is best, if available.
"beautiful hotel in perfect location"
My husband and I just spent two short days at the Inn and Spa at Loretto. Although the check-in staff were a little chilly, everything else about the hotel was just about perfect. Our king room was spacious and well appointed, the bed soft and comfy (my husband found the bed a little too soft), and the spa was just about the best I've visited. The large […] lobby is a good place to meet friends or sit by the fire and read a book. Next time in Santa Fe we will definitely stay here. Mehr
"Perfect Santa Fe Location"
We enjoyed our first trip to Santa Fe. We could walk everywhere and see the ART! We loved eating in the living room bar area. Try the desserts wonderful! Everyone was helpful. Valet parking required.
"Mostly Very Nice"
The people at the front desk were very nice and helpful, but the people in the shops and restaurant had an attitude. We also had a problem getting towels at the pool. They didn't bother to bring in the cushions so they were sopping wet in the morning after it rained. The spa prices are crazy and on top of it, they gode you into tipping 20%. We did enjoy […] the location very much. Mehr

"Classy, convenient and quiet."
Our experience at the Inn and Spa at Loretto was delightful. My husband and I travel to Santa Fe often, but this is the first time we stayed at this hotel. Our room was charming. We enjoyed sitting on our patio with a view of the cathedral each morning while we enjoyed our coffee and again in the evening for cocktails. Eating lunch al fresco at the […] restaurant, Luminaria, was a treat, especially the gazpacho - made with lemongrass and including lump crabmeat. The location cannot be beat - steps away from the plaza and a short walk to Canyon Road. My stay at the Inn and Spa at Loretto was perhaps the best hotel experience I've ever had. Mehr
"Southwestern ambiance in the heart of Santa Fe"
I grew up in Albuquerque and occasionally visited Santa Fe as a boy but never actually stayed in a hotel there until this past weekend. The Inn at Loretto had a good 4th of July holiday rate and so I decided to try it for 3 nights while visiting local art galleries with friends. The architecture of the hotel is quintessential pueblo adobe, which really […] adds to the feeling that you Santa Fe is the 'city different'. Immediately, the hotel immerses you into the local culture while not sacrificing any of the amenities that you would expect from an upscale hotel. The location was unbeatable...2 short blocks to the historical plaza and about the same distance in the other direction to Canyon Road (with approximately 100 art galleries). Restaurants, shops, museums..all within a 5 minute walk from the hotel entrance made it possible to park your car and forget about it during your time in the city. (The hotel charged $18 per day for parking...the municipal lots charge a similar rate for 24 hr parking but without in and out privileges...so this may be one of those times when exorbitant hotel parking rates are preferred). Note that free parking in the historical center is tough to come by. I didn't take advantage of the amenities but there was a nice hotel pool that seemed popular with older guests. The 'living room' or hotel lobby area was always active, especially at night with people grabbing a drink at the local bar while listening to live entertainment. Though I didn't eat there, Luminaria comes highly recommended by my friends who live in Santa Fe and I have to say that walking past the outdoor terrace and through the restaurant itself, it looked like it would be a pleasant experience (but I can't comment on the food). Speaking of food, you have to visit The Shed (on Palace Avenue), just a short walk from the hotel. Try the enchiladas and order them 'Christmas' styel...combination of red and green chile! Nothing can compare to New Mexican food topped off with fresh Mehr

"Best place to really experience Santa Fe"
Top notch - quality, service, amenities. Close to everything by foot. A great way to really enjoy Santa Fe

What I love about this hotel is its location, atmosphere and cleanliness.
"Loretto Nice Surprise in Santa Fe"
Searching for a bargain stay in Santa Fe one week before departure was a challenge. Plus, I wanted to find a hotel with a swimming pool. Not so easy apparently. The Inn and Spa at Loretto was really nice choice. After various charges and fees are tacked on it is a bit pricey but I decided that fee for a one night stay was a reasonable splurge. The room […] I stayed in had some oddities like a super power A/C fan like a windtunnel and the closet in the bathroom but for one night...eh. So what. I would recommend this place and would go there again if I could bring the price down for a lengthier stay. Compared to other hotels in it's category and with Hotels.com, it was pretty reasonable.
