"Nice little hotel, not the best part of town"
The hotel staff was courteous and friendly, and the morning coffee was convenient. Everything seemed very clean, all the supplies were stocked, and the towels and sheets were fresh. "Nice hotel conveniently located"
Staff was very nice and accommodating. Hotels.com showed smoking only and the hotel.com rep contacted the manager and they changed the room to non smoking in advance of my stay. Convenient off the freeway, food places nearby, clean room, great service and for the price on a big weekend couldn't be beat. The only reason I gave a 3 for overall is door […] access is outside. I prefer hotels where all room access is inside. Its an older hotel but kept well. Recommend if you are looking for a comfortable place to sleep and don't need frills. Room was very clean and spacious (one king bed). Also, Huge bathroom with tiled floor. Since I forgot my slippers, tile was cold to my feet. Overall, this is like a 20-30 yr. old motel, but very nicely maintained and clean. The old fashion, approx. 30" CRT TV screen display was disappointing. Price for Charlotte, NC was among the lowest, but with above […] average value. Location was very convenient to my convention at the Metrolina Center. Staff (probably owners) were very eager to please: made fresh coffee without being asked, gave very good directions and sent me to a great local family resturant for an excellent breakfast (and inexpensive). Stayed with family. Easy to find this place - 200 yards after the exit. It was clean and neat. TV is old fashioned - picture tube - did not watch any TV. I was disappointed with the continental breakfast. It was a pastry and juice. The area felt unsafe. My door lock messed up and my key nor the master key worked. "Ok for emergency stay - not as advertised"
We had to book a place that was economical for an emergency visit to see a family member that was at the hospital on life support. We had been told that it had just gone through renovations. Not true, it is dated early 80s at best. Continental Breakfast was one stale crossaint and no coffee in the main check-in area which was the size of a large bedroom. I was surprised with how nice the hotel was given the price. The neighborhood is rough, but the hotel is tucked away enough that you don't notice. This hotel has alot of contractors who stay here for out of town work - so be prepared for some shirtless guys drinking beer in the parking lot and alot of white utility vans.
