La Quinta Inn Nashville-Airport/Opryland - Nashville

Good service and so close to the things we wanted to do.

Room was too small for two adults and two kids. Double beds were small but very comfortable and so were the pillows. Breakfast was good (waffles, fruit, etc). The hotel could use an update but overall satisfied. They do need to clean the pool and consider a cover for months it's not in use. Looking out from our balcony and seeing the nasty green water […] is pretty gross. Mehr

This hotel was completely misrepresented. The hotel staff was never readily available, cleaning was inconsistent and occurred anywhere from 7 am to 4 pm, and the overall property was disappointing to say the least. There was a pice of chewed gum holding my curtains together. This hotel also is in a bad part of town that has several unsavory wanderers […] roaming the streets and parking lots at all hours of the day and night. Mehr

This location is not the newest or most updated LQ. We have stayed at many LQ's and experienced upgraded and renovated properties and hope that they are planning to put some money in this one soon. The location is great, only 10 minutes from downtown and Opry Land, and only 20 minutes from the Hermitage. We loved having the balcony where we could step […] out and smoke (we are smokers but hate the smell...I know). We had a flat screen TV that gave us show information rather than having to watch the guide channel scroll down like almost every hotel has. We initially thought that the vanity and sink located outside of the bathroom was odd at first, but actually really enjoyed it because my wife could get ready while I was in the shower and vice-verse. We were disappointed in the breakfast options so we headed to the Waffle House which was just around the corner. I must say that the mapquest directions gave us directions to the LQ about a mile away. When we drove up we knew we were in the wrong place and asked if there was another location around. The receptionist didn't say a word, not a smile, just handed me a piece of paper with directions. Obviously this is a common issue. I sure was glad we were not staying there. Pros: Location TV Balcony Price Cons: Outdated Disgusting Pool (Wasn't open but you could see the black muck) Breakfast Overall, this location is a great value for the price. We were totally disatisfied with our room and the overall comfort of the hotel. It is old. Our room had a smokey smell. The am breakfast was one of the worst we have been to and we travel a lot. We had asked for a room floor and a non-smoking room. We got the 3rd floor and a smelly room with ashtrays. We would NEVER return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the LaQuinta! Nice location. Most comfy bed we have ever slept in!! Didn't wanna get out! :) Would definitely stay again!! Nice staff!!

Close to the Grand Ole Opry and other entertainment. Hotel was clean and staff was helpful.

We had a little trouble finding it at first but it was very nice, clean, quiet and had a decent breakfast. We were there to go to a concert downtown and it wasn't that far away. It was certainly much better priced than many of the other hotels in the area. It was all that we needed for the night.

This hotel was very close to BNA(Nashville airport) and Downtown Nashville for a great rate. However I wouldn't recommend spending more than 1 night at this place.

The hotel is so desperately in need of a major update that it ought to be closed until that can occur. The staff do the best they can, but they are constantly on the receiving end of negative comments related to the state of building disrepair. This location should not be on anyone's list until it's renovated - really !

Upon entering our hotel room, we observed a very stong unappealing odor while staying there for 2 nights. Hotel needs some maintenance, okay for a cheap stay. Would definately not stay there again.

Lobby was clean, staff was friendly. Elevators had holes kicked in the wall, filth clinging to doors and walls. Beds were sunken, and sleeping was almost impossible due to itching. Probably caused from dogs being allowed in the rooms and then not properly cleaned. Neighborhood was decidely rough. There were no food establishments close by.

The standard room is just that...very standard. The room was non smoking but reaked of smoke. Night desk person sprayed some cover up smell reducer but that was worse than the smoke smell. Did not up grade us to better room... No other standard rooms were open.

Great value and easy access for the 1 night I stayed to the Aiport, and all of Nashville. Easy access to both I-40 and Briley Parkway. Only complaint was located in an office park setting, not that many restaturaunts nearby.

Excellent location. Surrounding area is traveler friendly; in addition staff was friendly and well informed. Would stay there again.

We use this property annually for our road trip. It's close to I-40, accepts pets, the rooms are fine, and the staff is always friendly. As an added bonus, the rate is always good.

Pleasant enough stay, enjoyed breakfast, close parking and inside access to room..Beds were fairly comfortable, room was clean. Tv was good. Only real problem we had was the sink stopper wouldn't work, would go down, but wouldn't come back up. They worked on it 3 times , but it still didn't work when we left,,,, they did offer to move us to another […] room, but I didn't want to load up my stuff and unload it again. Mehr

I was a little hesitant by reading some of the other reviews, but I am so glad I picked this hotel. First, room was VERY clean, comfy beds (on a 1-10 scale about a 9 & we are very picky with the comfort of our beds), staff was extremely helpful and friendly and our dog was with us at no extra charge. Most hotels charge $25 and up, non-refundable. Sorry, […] but if my dog doesn't make a mess, I shouldn't have to pay any fees to house her as well. They also had a wide variety for breakfast (FREE) too. We were EXTREMELY pleased with our stay and will be back again. Mehr

The double beds were a little too small, but the room was clean. Get the king size if you are able. Otherwise, not bad for a weekend trip to Nashville.

A little run down, but overall ok for an overnight stay. It was a bit pricey for what you got. Breakfast in the morning only consisted of muffins, juice and coffee.

The staff was very friendly, and willing to answer questions or help in any way they could. We would definately stay there again. It is close to the Grand Ole Opry and downtown.

Overall, a nice hotel, we really appreciated the "pet friendly feature. We pride ourselves on absolute control of our pets in a hotel environment and found La Quinta very responsible with us. The bedding was a little small for my 6'4" and not as nice as some of the equivelent hotels we stayed at, but in general we would researve and stay there agai […] n. Mehr

This hotel is literally across IH-40 from the airport, and barely 10 mins from downtown Nashville and Opry Mills/Grand Ole Opry House. But, one side does overlook a very busy and noisy Briley Parkway Pike, so try for a room overlooking Atrium Way. Donelson Pike is not too far away with restaurants, although none I would call "high end." One oddity: […] the bathroom sink isnt really IN the bathroom. Its sorta in the entry way leading INTO the bedroom !! Didnt bother as I was alone. . .but if you're with others, you might want some more privacy. . . Mehr

The staff at the LaQuenta Hotel was top notch. They were courteous, caring and helpful at all times. The room was straighten daily and beds turned down for our return. The staff was very nice, but the brand new flat panel television did not work, and needed to be re-booted multiple times before it worked. Once it came on, it was an awesome screen picture. The breakfast service was very weak. No hot eggs or sausages, and the milk dispensers were unlabeled, so you could not tell if it was whole, skim or 2% milk. Coffee […] service was terminated right at 0900, and no coffee available throughout the day. The bread for toast was not fresh...completely unimpressive breakfast. Mehr

Beds were very comfortable,very nice television,breakfast was sufficient ,shower was comforting,the only negative was toilet is too low to floor! We would stay again.

This La Quinta is in a beautiful, safe neighborhood. But it is by far the least maintained hotel in the area. It was obvious that the front desk staff did their best to be friendly, and the breakfast spread was better than expected. Fresh make-it-yourself waffles, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, oatmeal, and fresh coffee. The beds were also incredibly comfortable. […] But this hotel is older, and poorly maintained. The key was an antiquated punch-card design, and was not reliable. The 24-hour gym was "out of order" and the pool did not open until 9am, thus making it impossible for me to get much of a workout. I went for a jog in the mornings, since it seemed like a safe enough area. But then when I returned, I found that the shower would not get cold. The biggest issue with our stay was the mold. It crept up from the corners of the constantly-moist carpet onto the walls. It was more humid in our room than it was outside (August in Nashville meant >95% humidity). Our air conditioning unit would not turn on when left on auto, and the low fan setting was the same as the high setting. Every time we left the room for the 3 days we stayed, housekeeping would switch our air conditioner back to auto, so our room was a musty, humid, sweltering mess every time we walked in. When set to 62 degrees, the air conditioning made it no cooler than 90 degrees in the room. When I mentioned the constantly-wet carpet and the malfunctioning air conditioning unit to the hotel staff upon checkout, they offered no compensation. It's a shame that this La Quinta is in such terrible shape, I had an excellent impression of the chain before this experience. I will say again: the beds were incredibly comfortable. When we couldn't get the air conditioning unit to cool down the room, we left the balcony door wide open all night. The cool night air made the stay tolerable. Mehr

This is not a La Quinta Inn built by La Quinta. We stayed here because we like the one in John's Creek, GA. This one was an old hotel that just had the La Quinta name. Room was smaller than many average hotels. Breakfast was good.

The hotel was very clean and the people at the front desk were very helpful with any questions. The beds are very comfortable and each room has a balcony. I will stay there next time we are in Nashville.

I was in Nashville for the weekend for personal business. The entire staff was great and the breakfast was what I expected (bagels, cereal, muffins, coffee, juice, fruit, yogurt, waffle machines). I would stay here again without hesitation. One guests dog barked in the middle of the night, but that's no fault to the hotel. And if you're going to stay […] in a hotel that accepts pets, you're going to have to deal with some noise related to said pets. Overall, it was an excellent experience and I plan on recommending this hotel to anyone (except people allergic to animals, of course). Mehr

We needed reassurance that our room was not used for people with dogs and we did not get that reassurance. A dog was allowed in the breakfast room as we ate. Desk service was most helpful and excellent!

The hotel was not as close to LP field as it was portrayed within a 5 mile radus and it was over 11 miles to town. Rooms were decent and staff were helpful. No hotel shuttle had to take a cab or catch another shuttle to the CMA fest downtown.

We took this trip so that I could take a test in downtown Nashville for a job opening. Not knowing much of the area, I decided on this hotel due to its proximity to the interstate. It only took ten minutes to get downtown, and it would be great for those flying into or out of the airport, which was extremely close. The hotel was clean, the staff was […] helpful and polite, and my only complaint relates to the unfortunate infestation of cicadas that plagued the area while we visited. I understand that the hotel has no control over the living, flying variety of these that buzz and attack, but my girlfriend and I refused to use the entrances other than the main one because of the layer of dead and nearly-dead cicadas that were surrounding the exterior doorways. In addition, I was informed upon check-in that the pool was not open for use. Since it was an outdoor pool, I was not planning on using it anyway--especially with the cicadas--but someone else might have an issue with that. Overall, I highly recommend this property! Mehr
