Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Ramblas und hat Tiefgarage, was für uns wichtig war. Die Zimmer sind klein, aber hinten heraus ruhig. Wenig Komfort.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Aufenthalt hatten ein Zimmer mit Sicht auf die Ramblas, sehr ruhig da gut sonorierte Fenster. Hotel sehr zu empfehlen. Leider nur eine Stunde Wifi pro Tag sollte frei sein für den ganzen Tag, Schade

Das Hotel ist ein paar Schritte von der Placa Catalunya entfernt, also mitten im Zentrum an der berühmten Rambla. Metrostationen, Bussbahnhof alles sehr nah. Was uns ein bisschen gefehlt hat, ist ein Wasserkocher für einen Tee oder Kaffee im Zimmer. Das Hotel ist in weiss braun grau gehalten. Die Wände in den Etagen sind voller Schwarz-weiss-Fotografien […] mit Details der berühmten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir hatten street-view, es ist sehr gut isoliert; man hört bei geschlossenen Fenstern gar nichts! Mehr

Das Hotel liegt direkt an der Rambla, wenige Meter vom Plaza Cataluña entfernt. Das Zimmer war modernst eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Vom Strassenlärm war nichts zu hören. Auch das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr reichlich und sehr gut. Ich kann das Hotel nur lobend erwähnen.

Overlooking the Ramblas with double windows that opened (inside and outside) so you could let it all in or shut it all out or anywhere in between. Clean and neat. Service was great. We got to the hotel at 9 AM. They held our bags while we went to breakfast and let us check in early when we got back. At least one English speaking person on every shift […] (good for us who know very little Spanish). We had an early flight and they had a taxi waiting for us at 4:45 AM. You CANNOT GO WRONG staying at this hotel. It's where you will find us whenever we are in Barcelona! Mehr

Right on Las Ramblas, the harbour and other busy areas of Barcelona are right on your doorstep (literally). They have limited garaged parking under the hotel (I'd say 10-20 cars maximum and is charged extra - a little warning: the car park entrance is very tight and steep. I managed it unscathed but, judging by the scraps (and a large hole) on the walls, […] it seems others weren't so lucky. Would definitely stay here again as rates were very reasonable for the location. Mehr

the royal ramblas is a very good hotel, location is phenomenal and staff is very good. Only downside is the bathroom, like a lot of european hotels, there can be some privacy issues. Only other issue is their reccomendation of a flamenco show-cordoba flamenco-was horrible and a waste of money.

The staff at the hotel was helpful, but sometimes a little slow in response. I think they get overwhelmed because many guests didn't speak the language. Otherwise, a fantastic stay, great rooms and super convenient. Beware of the internet charge, but note that you can use ONE device for one hour a day for free. You get a code from the front desk.

The Royal Ramblas location is fantastic! Metro is just outside, about 2mins walk. Plenty of shops around, especially eateries! No shortage of food. Supermarket Carrfour is next door. McDonald's & Burger King is on the other side (if you have cravings for a burger), not that we had because the Spanish Food and Tapas were heavenly! :) Only thing we found […] lacking in the hotel was a kettle/pot to boil water. It would have been nice to be able to make a cup of coffee/tea. Other than that, service from the front desk to the housekeeping was very good. As a frequent visitor to BCN from USA we find this hotel very clean and affortable and in a great location. During our visit they were remodeling the restaurant next door and our room was very noise 7:00AM to 6:00PM.

Arrived late friday night hotel staff and room excellent, easy to find on the Ramblas, so far so good. 8.00am Saturday morning was woken by the sound of pneumatic drill which turned out to be on and off all day with lots of hammering in to the mix. We were up and about so wasn't bad for us but not good if you want to hang around the hotel or have a […] lazy morning. Scaffolding all around the hotel and not sure if it a shop adjacent to the hotel or the hotel itself is having the construction work. They are probably giving tempting discounts so if you are now you know why ! Mehr

Had a very nice stay and the front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Central location, 3 min walk to Placa Catalunya, close to all shopping, bars, restaurants. our room is on the 4th floor, faces the side street, extremely quiet, but with abundant natural light coming in. Room is clean, bed comfy. The ground floor is under some major renovation, lobby gets a bit dusty, entrance may be hard to spot, hidden behind the […] contruction barricade. But i did not hear any constructiion noise. Hotel provide 1 hour free Wifi per day, extra wifi cost 7 euro for 24 hours. Great friendly staff. Mehr

Unfortunately we were not told about the building work going on, the restaurant was being demolished. Also got an allergy to the feather pillows. The hotel did put this right. Staff very courteous. Previous visit no problems at all. Will be great again once the building work has finished.

Hotel is a one minute walk from Placa Catalunya Metro station which connects you to all the important sites in the city. The airport bus stop was a 3 minute walk from the hotel. Very comfortable and convenient. The restaurant was under remodel due to a fire and there was construction noise during the day, but the room was very quiet at night. Thee was […] no breakfast because of construction, but there were plenty of inexpensive options nearby. Overall, a great value because of the great location. Mehr

Great hotel in a great location, on La Rambla and only a 5min walk from Cataluyna Square and the fresh food market. Hotel rooms are huge, modern and very clean.

This hotel was a great choice. It was centrally located. Right on the Ramblas. It was clean, modern and the staff was very helpful. The only complaint I can have is that the beds were hard. However, that seems to be the norm in Spain. Next time I am in Barcelona, I will definitely stay here again.

I was a single woman alone in town and this small but comfortable hotel in the perfect location was the best possible solution for me. The staff was friendly and helpful at all times giving any and all assistance I needed about the tourtist things I was interested and directions to places I wanted to go. I took taxi there, but with a little help from […] the front desk I realized the aerobus to the airport was on about 2 block away and only cost 5 euros to go back in the day light. If I had know how close and easy this way of transportation was I'd of come to my hotel this way as well. It would have saved me 23 euros to spend on something more fun. It took almost the same amount of time and was a very pleasant experience. Then entire visit was made better by this hotel and it staff. Mehr

The location of the hotel is on Las Ramblas very close to Catalunya Park, which is an excellent location for all the goings on in Barcelona. There are lots of shops and restaurants available within a short walking distance. The hotel has a small lobby, and the front desk is well attended with curteous english speaking staff. The rooms are relatively […] small by US standards, however both the room and the bathroom were very clean. We will stay at this hotel each time we have an opportunity to go back to Barcelona. Mehr

great location

I spent two nights at this hotel. One day before our cruise and one night after...the first room was not good..it was at the back of the hotel...it had a pull our uncomfortable couch...when the pull out was out there was not enough room to get a suitcase through. The bathroom had no privacy except for a glass partition...I asked for an upgrade but there […] was none available...the return stay was much much better...very nice room with a direct view of the Ramblas...bathroom very nice and also private..I would recomend this hotel but be sure to ask for the rooms located at the front with the view...also, a nice feature with these rooms are that the windows open if you want to hear the sounds of street..when closed the room is very quiet and air condition worked great.... Hotel a little expensive for what you get, close to all the sights. Bedroom was not cleaned or towels changed after first night. Would not class this hotel as 4 star.

As we only had a one night stay in Barcelona we wanted to stay somewhere close to everything which the Royal Ramblas is. We stayed in a junior suite room that was very nice and the king size bed was extremely comfortable.The staff were helpful and polite and I would definitely recommend it.

The location was in the hub of the city which we enjoy. Many of the local sights were within a short walk. The room was very clean and the bedding was comfortable. Our original room was tiny and faced a wall on the side street. We asked for an upgrade and for an additional 10 euros/night we got a larger room on the main street which was well worth it […] to us. Our room was on the fourth floor and very quiet at all times. The windows were double paned glass and none of the street noise could be heard in the room. Mehr

Excellent location , close to Metro & pick up points for Tours .{ Montserrat Tour is a must see.} Hotel rooms clean, spacious and quiet .Staff friendly . Many bars , restaurants and shops close by with the Old Town and Port in walking distance . No problem recommending The Royal Ramblas.

Location is great - and hotel is modern. Front desk was helpful and accommodating. Free Wifi for one hour a day - but only 7 euros for 24 hours if you want more. I'd stay there again no question.

Very noisy room despite having upgraded to the royal floor - sounded like a train was coming into our room on regular intervals so we had a very poor sleep - we were very near the elevator - they would not move us and when we checked out the next morning they admitted this was a noisy location - so much for spending the extra for an upgraded room! The […] internet system was veyr poor - connection was so faint - kept dying on us - the once again admitted that there were problems with the system. Very nice hotel, central to all areas of the city. Tour bus for sight seeing 2 minute walk. Everything about hotel was excellent, the only negative was the small elevators, not good if you don't like small spaces. The stairs were very easy to navigate though. Staff friendly, knowledgeable and spoke excellent English.

The signage at the front of the hotel is "The Royal Hotel" and all of the Taxi drivers know it by that name. That's the only flaw we could find in this hotel. It is literally right in the middle of the "Ramblas" the section of Barcelona where all of the action is. Yet noise level in the room was none. The room was modern and clean. Great location. I would recommend! Excellent location, right in the heart of the action. Beautiful hotel and helpful staff. I wish we could have stayed longer.

The hotel location is great, but if this hotel is serious about the services provided to their guests they must reconsider the staff they choose, they are not that helpful and they dont even smile when they are dealing with the guests, also its one of the rare hotels that charges money for the wi-fi services. Although its a 4 star hotel the minibar […] options are so limited to water, coke and beer, no other things. there is no one to assist with luggage. I hope the hotel management really care about those notes to be a better hotel. Mehr

We were very pleased with this hotel. Nice, comfy and very clean king-size bed. Free safe in our room. Located right on Las Ramblas, the #1 "people-watching" boulevard in Europe.

Well located hotel from all the actions. However, we are staying here for 8 days and the hotel is short on the following: * Friendliness *. Internet access sub par-they give you one hour only of Internet access, BUT you can not check emails, can not have multiple gadgets at one time and you have to ask the not too friendly Reception desk staff for the […] user and password daily. According to them, they abhor the mundane, constant request of the guests for the "free" Internet. One staff stated it was too much work. My husband and i only have two iPhones and one iPad. It was paralyzing. We were unable to utilize the free access for it never worked the first two days! Day three today, could only surf the net, not read any emails. Frustrating. We had to buy an additional 24 hour rate so we have full access to one gadget. Ggrrrr. We suggested that they should just incorporate the free wifi into the hotel rate and not bother with a daily signing in. Add to the bill. we do not mind paying * no luggage racks *. No iron! *. They just made you feel like you are imposing on them and how dare we ask. Not hospitable and welcoming at all. for just my husband and I Mehr

We booked this hotel for a two day break with a 9 year old. The location was fantastic and easy to travel too and from. The refurb had finished so everything was looking very chic. Staff were helpful and happy to provide advice about travel and sightseeing. We were at the back of the hotel so had no noise problems at all and slept soundly. I would definately recommend this hotel. Service was great & the location made it easy to get about. Close to tour guides & eateries.
