The AC unit made loud noises every 15 minutes that woke us up throughout the night. The step down room entrance collected lots of dusk and trash at the door that was very dirty to walk in the room. Would not stay here again, despite the convenience of the location.

WALKED INTO ROOM STARTED TO PUT THING IN REFRIGERATOR. OLD FOOD FROM PRIOR GUEST. WHE WALKING AROUND HOTEL THE SMELL OF URINE WAS OVERWHELMING. DID ENJOY THE JACUZZI TUB IN BATH ROOM. VEIW WAS WONDERFUL.

Great location and it was just what we wanted as our tirp was off season and we wanted to hike and not use spa activities. The room overlooked the pool which was cold ( not heated) although the hot tub was, but didn't use either. I am sure the place is jumping in season but very quiet in Feb. The breakfast was nothing special just like Holiday Inn style […] but good enough. We had trouble with the heat in our room but the maintenance staff worked on it and offered to move us. They fixed it we stayed. One hidden secret to this hotel is the restaurant Etole on site which is 5 star with a great chef. I would recommend this hotel to those who don't want spa but want to be close to Sedona Mehr

This is a simple and clean Hotel, that is close to all amenities. The breakfast was simple and the food is fresh. I felt it was overpriced for what it is - although comfortable the rooms show signs of wear and tear. The heating system is VERY noisy and not very effective. In the winter months Sedona can get very cold at night (we were there 3rd and […] 4th of February) - we had to have the heating on, so there was a noisy fan operating all night - not good for sleeping, and yet the room still didn't get much over 66º. We told the staff and switched rooms, but the second room was the same. This heating system needs to be addressed as a priority because it does spoil an otherwise pleasant stay. Other than that the hotel is pleasantly designed with a nice pool area - and I would consider staying here again during the summer months - but my concern would be if the air conditioning is just as noisy as the heating! They need to update their heaters. They clang exptrememly loud when they come on and off which is probably every 10 minutes.

Nice place for the money. Great location and within walking distance to attractions and old town Sedona. If you pay a little more, you can get a room with a courtyard view and close to the pool and hot tub. Give it a try, you will like it.

Checked in in the evening with wife and my 2 little children. Woke up next morning to find a lizard scurrying across the room with another one already sitting in a corner. Immediately gathered our belongings making sure we didn't have any more in our luggage and shoes and then checked out. Informed the girl at the front desk when checking out and she […] didn't even bat an eyelid...nothing unusual for them I guess. Stay there at your own risk is all I have to say. Mehr

We stayed in a courtyard view (back right corner of hotel) and our morning view of Sedona was breathtaking! Close to many locations and downtown Sedona.

This is my second stay at the Kings Ransom Hotel. It is a well-maintained property with attractive rates. The on-site restaurant is excellent. The free continental breakfast is better than at many hotel chains. The reception staff are very friendly and accommodating.

I thought it was a dark and creepy place. The heating system made a big bang every time it started, there was only a very small lamp in the large room and the bed lamps. There was a huge exposed vent over the sink in the bathroom area, the coffee maker had old coffee in it from the previous guests. They advertised internet connection, but didn't have […] it. And if all that was not bad enough, when I was carrying out my things (from the second floor with no elevator) the key to my room lost its ability to unlock the door so I had to walk back to the lobby to have it reprogrammed !! Very convenient to uptown Sedona but not walkable. Very, very good restaurant (upscale Mexican) at the same location. Hotel has some wear and tear but well kept. Location for mthe bprice is the best feature.

The hotel views were not what we expected and the website greatly exaggerated them as well. Overall the inforamation on the website was exaggerated and the pictures were outdated. I was disappointed that the only view we had was a side view of the rocks. Our main view was of another hotel.

the hotel is appealing at night with the lit interior courtyard surrounding the pool. However, the breakfast area looks rather shabby in the morning with overflowing trash bins, bread in plastic bags on the floor where it was obviously stored, no tea, and all the buffet tables trashed with napkins, food scraps etc. The attending waiter obviously did […] not care what kind of an impression he left - and don't even bother to try the coffee, it's brown water! Good enough to there there if all you want to do is have a nice swim at night. Mehr

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Kings Ransom. It had a beautiful location and was extremely easy to get to. It has a beautiful court yard with plants, a pool, and jacuzzi. It also had a nice fitness room. The continental breakfast was decent with all the basic breakfast foods you would want-yogurt, waffles, cereal, muffins, english muffins, […] toast, fruit, etc. Also, we had a nice king bed hotel room that even had a jet tub. Overall, I really thought this hotel was relaxing, beautiful, had a great location, and lots of nice little extras to offer. I would definitely stay at this hotel again. Mehr

I enjoyed my stay at the Kings Ransom Hotel. The location was excellent and the scenery was beautiful. I also felt safe walking in the area at night. The restaurants within walking distance closed early so a car was necessary for evenings when I wanted a later meal (9 pm or later).

Our room was supposed to be non-smoking, yet it reeked of smoke right when we walked in. When we asked if we could change rooms they said a manager wasn't there to do the change so they only thing they could do now was bring maids up. We had to leave for wedding anyway so we let it go. When we returned that evening, our room door was WIDE OPEN at 11pm! […] All our belongings, jewelry, etc were in the room. Apparently the maids had left the door open to air out the room but forgot to close it. The front desk closes at 11pm so we called the maintenance line. DISCONNECTED! After all that, the "manager" said they weren't authorized to do anything about our room charge. Absolutely unacceptable way of handling a horrible situation. Mehr

I thought this hotel was great , My husband and I enjoy nature and to be able to walk from the hotel to hiking path was great. The views are great. We thought the rooms were clean and very quiet . nothing fancy but we are not fancy people . The inside court yard was beautiful.

This hotel is in a great location, close to the town of Sedona, hiking, sightseeing and mountain biking. The main reason that we enjoyed this hotel was for the relaxed atmosphere and swimming pool. The hotel is not a high end resort (e.g. the bathrooms have a few cracked tiles, the breakfast is not gourmet etc), however, it is great value. The location […] is great , the pool is just fine for swimming or relaxing, the other guests are quiet, the staff friendly etc. We really enjoyed our stay and it is ideal for a family (we have a teenage daughter). One other point - the restaurant attached to the hotel (Eloite) is fantastic. The only downside is there are so many customers you might have to wait for a while! Mehr

A reasonable place to stay with great acomadations in pardise.

The room was very nice and clean. The location was quiet and the pool and pool are was very nice, I was disappointed that it rained so I couldn't sit by the waterfall and enjoy the courtyard, not their fault.

I have stayed at Kings Ransom once before and never had a problem. This time however I did. There was a black out and the hotel staff was not accomodating with a flashlight or anything. The receptionist is very very rude and told me at checkout that I was lucky I wasnt charged extra for noise. Seriously? It was the worst hotel stay I have ever had and […] I will never go back. Do not give this hotel your money they are bad business. Mehr

There are two, one is a hotel and the other is the inn. We stayed in the hotel. We requested and received a king room with a balcony. The room was clean, except for the jets in the spa tub. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The hotel is not within walking distance to the shops and such but you can easily catch the free bus.

Although the hotel was smack in the middle of Sedona which is picturesqure the hotl was NOT at all what it looked like online. Those pictures must have come from when it first opened. The reception I got at the hotel chek-in was snobbish, snotty and down right rude. My husband loved the views, but I would never ever stay there again due to the treament. […] it also boast a beatiful restaurant, however they failed to mention that it is closed Sunday and monday, which when we stayed. thus we had to find other accomodations, which is Sedona is easy to do...but we expected to eat there as we were coming in around 8 p.m. Mehr

It was very simple Hotel. It was comfortable and nice, however It is more motel quality than "Hotel". They had nice pool, that was only difference. No View from the window. Great place to stay for people who are not seeking for "luxury". Location and rate was great, I would stay again.

Sucio, no se hace limpieza diario, ni tampoco cada 2 o hasta 3 dìas, los pasillos estàn sucios, mi habitaciòn no era aseada diariamente. Cuando ingrese en el espejo del baño se encontraba un letrero del viajero anterior supongo, que ahì quedo hasta cuando yo salí. No sanitizan la bañera no el WC.
