Cartier Place Suite Hotel - Ottawa

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral in Ottawa, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind bequem zu Fuß zu erreichen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und in sehr gutem Zustand, wie die restlichen Einrichtungen des Hotels. Es liegt in einer ruhigen Nebenstraße, mit einer kostenpflichtigen Tiefgarage unter dem Hotel. Wir hatten eine 2-Schlafzimmer-Suite. In einem Schlafzimmer […] gab es ein großes Bett, im anderen 2 kleinere. Das Wohnzimmer hat einen Couchbereich und eine Essecke für 4 Personen, ideal für eine Familie. Die Küche ist komplett eingerichtet und in einwandfreiem Zustand. Der Service war sehr freundlich. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es viele Restaurants und auch einen kleinen Lebensmittelladen mit eingeschränktem Angebot. Mehr

It was very comfortable and plenty of space, will certainly stay there again.

There was an extra charge for parking. $21 a night+tax.

Our stay at your hotel was great. Right from the reception to room service and more. we particularly enjoyed the suite we were in as the children could do what they liked as the area was not crowded. our next trip we will plan to stay at your hotel.

Need air fresheners in the rooms.. but overall it was great... will be booking again in Sept and October.

This was our first time in Ottawa. The Cartier was the place for our family with 3 kids the two bedroom with kitchenette was perfect. It was a good location and the pool was clean and not busy. The only thing is I think parking should be included in your stay. $21 a day can be added to the room cost and you can stay somewhere else that has parking […] included. Mehr

The room was clean ,nice to have a full kitchen. We enjoyed the pool facilities,the children liked the playroom. The hotel could use some updating but overall great place . Go Senators!

Was a great place to enjoy Winterlude, in walking distance to all attractions. only downfall, was the pool seemed a little too cold, but otherwise great place for a family to stay, lots of space, kitchenette, eveything you need, have gone there quite a few times over the years and will continue to come back

Great choice for families with kids. Swimming pool, sauna and children room (toys're not new but enough for 1-hour play with no worries) - it's a good option when you're tired aftre all-day visiting the museum and want only some rest. No free breakfast, but all the rooms has kitchenet. The is PizzaPizza and other fastfood round the corner. 10 minutes […] to Parliament Hill (by feet). The only disadvantage for me is parking - it's not free:( But they have undeground lots and outside parking for oversized veicles for the same price. Mehr

My wife and I spent four nights at this hotel in Ottawa and were very satisfied. The room was very comfortable and the bedroom was especially quiet at night. The staff were pleasant and the maid service was excellent. The location of this hotel is one of the main highlights. It is within walking distance to Parliament Hill and other Ottawa attractions. […] It's a perfect location if you are attending the city for the Winter Lude Festival. The hotel was reasonably clean, however the outdated decor from the 60's made it feel worn and dingy. The pillows were old, you could see the stains through the pillow cases. The matresses were in the same condition, clean sheets though. Staff were professional and polite.

Excellent location. Excellent value. Having a kitchen is a real money saver. Dated furnishings...but who cares!?!? We really like place - will keep coming back - The value and the location made us quickly forget the 1970's look.

This hotel is very dated, but if you are looking for a convenient location in the heart of the city, this one is great. A couple of blocks from the Rideau Canal and about 10 minute walk to the Parliament Hill. Parking is expensive, but you can find a street parking after 7pm nearby. The Cartier Place Suite Hotel is conveniently located in downtown Ottawa. The hotel is extremely clean and quiet. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is fully equiped. I would recommend this hotel to those who want comfort but not style, as the decor is dated. I would definitely stay here again!

Front desk staff were friendly and polite. Access to our room for check in was late, so staff was accommodating with providing a late check out the next day. Furniture and fixtures are somewhat dated, but comfortable. Room wasn't very well cleaned, as we saw drink splatters on two of the tables. There isn't enough underground parking and it's very tight […] at 6 feet clearance. My tall teenagers were ducking under various pipes to get to the elevator and the roof rack on my SUV was scratched. We were in a two bedroom suite and I was a little disappointed that there wasn't a second bathroom. Overall, a comfortable stay and we felt we received reasonable quality for the price. Mehr

Awesome Hotel. There was a lot of room in our room. Comfy bedding, lots of pillows and blankets. Very clean. The employees were there and ready for your every need. Close to downtown whether yo want to be a tourist, see the night life, eat some really yummy food at some amazing restaurants. The people and Ottawa can be quite rude but just ignore that. […] The driving is insane nobody listen to road signs or lights and have no courtesy for other. Drive with rage if you expect to get anywhere in good time in a car or just take foot. The room was very nicely laid out and a great price for the location. Two blocks from the Court House, and convenient to all downtown and Capital Hill attractions.

Great hotel. Stayed this weekend for two nights. Very clean, nice average pool. Every room has a kitchen. Looks like a one bedroom apt in the room. Rideau canal enterence just next road up. Easy 5 block walk to parlament. My 5 and 7 year old had no problem walking. Byward market about 10 blocks away. Pizza pizza right on corner at elgin st which has […] lots of shops. Very convient. Going to make this our new stay in Ottawa. Down side underground parking is 23.00 a day. Mehr

Great location Downtown Ottawa,easy access off and on the 417 . Walking to a number of attractions.I'll be re-booking in the future.

I didn't know what to expect for the low price that I paid but I was certainly impressed. The staff were friendly, the place was clean, and the location was perfect for access to downtown and businesses. The room very spacious. Full kitchen with supplies, two bedrooms, decent bathroom, and large living/dining area. The balcony was an added plus. These apartments are old and worn but still a good place to stay at a reasonable price in a somewhat expensive city. The location is reasonable to the museums, parliment building and Elgin street restaurants. Good service staff as well.

It was a nice hotel and close enough to some restaurants and stores. I wouldn't eat at the hotel restaurant again as it is expensive for the quality of the "italian" menu. Other than the restaurant I was happy with everything else.

the only change that I would ask for is new comfortable sofa bed pullouts. They are very uncomfortable. The beds in the bedroom are very good.

I'm sure the Cartier Place does a good business hosting folks temporarily relocated to Ottawa. It's fine as a kind of crappy apartment, but I don't want to stay in a kind of crappy apartment when I'm on vacation or on a business trip. The halls of the hotel feel like a college dorm, the in-room furniture and bedding are straight out of a 1980s Sheraton, […] and the wallpaper and flooring seem to have been peeled out of a doctor's office. The room I stayed in was completely worn. The faucet in the shower was coming loose from the wall, and all the grout in the bathroom was gray and dirty. Having a kitchen might be nice, but not when the room smells like the food cooked by the 128894 guests that stayed in that room before you. Seriously, the room had the odor of a mens room at Burger King. Staff was really nice -- but I've never met anyone in customer service in Ottawa that isn't overwhelmingly nice. The hotel itself is just lousy. For not that much more, you could stay at the Business Inn, two blocks up on fun Elgin Street (seriously, stay in the neighborhood -- TONS of great restaurants and bars for all ages) and have a much better version of what the Cartier Place is trying to offer. Or you could stay closer to centretown and pay a little bit more and actually enjoy your vacation/business trip. Mehr

Maybe we should have thought about is a long time ago but having an apartment instead of a regular hotel room for my business trip to Ottawa made the road feel a little more like home. The hotel is decently situated on the edge of the downtown and is easy walking distance of no more than 15 minutes to any point in the downtown. 15 minutes walk also […] to Byward Market. Easy. Glad we didn't have a car though. Parking is steep in underground parking and street parking is very crowded. Oh and the wireless Internet connection is brutally slow. Best have your own. Other than the hotel being a little dated (old TVs and a couple of stove burners that didn't work), it was an OK place to stay. Value for money? Average. Mehr

We really enjoyed our stay at the Cartier Place Suite Hotel. Our family stayed for a week in Ottawa and it was very nice not to have to eat out for every meal.The kitchen was fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, etc. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff at the front desk were friendly and helpful. I guess It's actually impossible to find a hotel this nice and with such low rates. The room we got had kitched and living room, tons of space for a very affordable rate, specially if you are going with friends or family.
