Zentrumsnahes Hotel, direkt am Capitol, nachts toller Blick, sauberes, grosses Zimmer und Bad, Dachpool eher klein, aber für ein bisschen Planschen ganz o.k., würde nochmals buchen....

Ausgezeichnete Hotel. Gut erreichbar von Union Station. Modernes Interieur und große Zimmer. Queen Size bett mit angenehmen Matratzen. Absolutes Highlight ist die dachterrasse mit Pool, Bar, etlichen sitzmöglichkeiten und tischtennistisch. In der Lobby spielt loungemusik und es gibt gratis oragensaft. Trifft genau meinen Geschmack. Das Liaison Capitol Hill Hotel wurde erst vor kurzem renoviert. Die Zimmer sind gut ausgestattet und verfügen über alle üblichen Annehmlichkeiten. Einzig kostenloser WiFi-Internetanschluss wäre meines Erachtens in einem Business-Hotel eigentlich zu erwarten.. Dies ist jedoch nur gegen Aufpreis erhältlich. Auf dem Dach befindet sich ein Rooftop Swimming […] Pool und zahlreiche Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Auch Sonnenschirme waren reichlich vorhanden. Einzig die Musik, welche gespielt wird, könnte besser sein. Es wird eigentlich nur Hitparade gespielt und das relativ laut (aber nur bis 21:00 Uhr). Wer auf den teuren Valet-Parking Service verzichten will, der kann im Union-Station Parkhaus für USD 20 pro 24h parkieren (anstatt knapp USD 50!). Die Hotelangestellten waren immer sehr höflich und hilfsbereit. Ich kann dieses Hotel daher nur weiterempfehlen! Mehr

Nicht zu empfehlen. Im Hotelzimmer fehlte bei einem Bett die Bettlampenabdeckung und der Spannteppich "miefte". Das Personal war zudem nie in der Lage, die richtige Anzahl Badetücher zu ersetzen. Um das hoteleigene Restaurant würde ich einen sehr grossen Bogen machen: In den insgesamt 7 Wochen Rundreise in den USA in den letzten Jahren (1x Südwesten, […] 1x Ostküste), haben wir nirgendwo so schlecht gegessen. Die Gäste des Dachpools wurde einmal 15 Minuten vor der offiziellen Schliessung raus gebeten .... Wenigstens war die Stadt toll. Mehr

Hotel was renovating several floors, but was doing so carefully and quietly. We stayed on the 10th floor in the newly renovated rooms. Hotel was very nice, well kept, quite comfortable. Only about 3 blocks walking distance from the Capital, and about 20 minutes or so (walking leisurely) to the Natural History and Air/Space museums. The valet parking […] is very expensive, but there a number of parking garages within several blocks for half or less the rate, especially on the weekends. As far as food goes - the on site restaraunt and bar caters to the upscale crowd. There is a nice deli across the street, a little less than typical DC pricing at about $6-8 per sandwich, does not include drink or chips. Walk down D or E street about 7-9 blocks, and you'll find about 20 different options for food, including a McDonalds/Burger King. Just avoid the McDonalds at the Air and Space museum, it's about double the typical pricing! Very nice, would definitely stay here again, felt like we got a great deal at Hotels.com Mehr

The hotel was wonderful, everything is walking distance from it and I mean everything, the staff was great and specially Van, he took good care of us, I recommend this hotel to anyone going to Washington DC, Thank you!

The Liaison in Washington, DC was a delightful experience. Since it was booked on line and we had no advance recommendation, we were most pleasantly surprised to find everything more than satisfactory. The hotel was fine but I was not aware that there was construction being conducted on other floors until I checked in. While the construction noise was limited to daytime, it was very distracting. I spent a considerable amount of time working on my computer from the room, all the while listening to hammers pounding from 9:00AM until 7:00PM.

This place is a stone's throw from the Capitol. So the Mall is just a few minutes' walk away. Good value for the location. The room was very clean and luxurious. They had some construction going on, but I didn't hear anything because I was up on the 9th floor. Nothing inconvenient. The staff at the reception, the valets, and the concierge were very […] friendly, informative and helpful. The only minus about this hotel is the expensive overnight parking. I had to rent a car from Dulles; the connectivity to the DC area from Dulles is just awful. So it is not really their fault. Fly into Reagan, and you should have a great time. We had a great stay and they are dog friendly.

This hotel is pretty good for business people to live, and also for family to live. It is very clean and convenient for people to go other place in Washington DC. because it is in the near unionstation and congress. It will be better, if this hotel can offer free wifi in room.

We only stayed in this hotel for two nights however on check in my wife and I were advised our room with a queen bed as booked was not available so we had to settle for two double beds. They did offer to move us the next day however after a long day site seeing we couldn't be bothered moving so stayed put and checked out the next day. Enjoyed our stay and the food. Restaurant seemed to lose sight that selling food is their business not finding a way to make servicing a customer unpleasant. Example late arrival of 10 people past 10pm all wanting to eat but checking into the hotel as well. We attempted to be seated with 8 who were ready to be seated. We were told that we could not […] be seated and the until the entire party was present and the kitchen would closing shortly. A simple suggestion that "let's setup a table for 8 and if the other 2 finished checking in before the kitchen closed seat separate. This was not a welcome suggestion without a little insistence on our part and request to see or learn the name of the manager. Finally we we're seated served and the meal was fabulous Suggestion to management if you have a product to sell find a way to sell it to your customer. Personal service, comfortable beds, quiet area, and close to Capitol Hill. A short walk to Union Station, the Capitol, the Senate office buildings, the Supreme Court, and the Library of Congress. Cost of hotel was reasonable. Hotel was under renovation thus we heard constant noise from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. We like hard beds thus the matress was not to our liking. Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Hotel is close to Capitol and Smithsonian museums.

Bed linens consisted of flat sheets only, no fitted sheets. Later observed that sheets had a stain upon checkout beds have duvets with no duvet covers. Parking charges were very high ( $50/day min). Did not replace glasses in room with regular house keeping. called front desk for them to be replaced and was told there would be a delivery fee however […] I could go down to restaurant and get them myself. I just expected more from this establishment based on location, reviews, and just being in the hospitality industry. Just my personal experience will not recommend or return. Very comfortable and very clean. Bed's were verrrry comfortable and the room was laid out well. The only negatives I had were the view of the interior of the hotel, I'll try to get a higher floor (the upper floors were under construction) and the neighborhood isn't as trendy as dupont circle and some others, overall a great hotel. If you think fu fu is nice you will love this want -a -be upscale hotel. $48.00 parking per night and a staff that thinks too much of themselves. Not a good feeling when you check-in or leave. Room is very small and not worth the money.

We are a family of four, kids aged 11 and 16. Our rooms had a connecting door between them and were arranged so without us having to ask! From the moment we arrived till the minute we left, we were treated like royalty! The hotel was undergoing reconstruction but we heard nothing and the guys that worked there were almost invisible! The hotel is 5 minutes […] walk to the Capitol and the tour buses have a stop in front of the hotel. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT AND THE MOST WONDERFUL STAY! Mehr

From the moment we arrived, all the hotel staff we encountered were great. Doormen, front desk, room service, restaurant, bar and concierge, everyone is very helpful and friendly. The location is as good as it sounds, we walked everywhere and union station is right around the corner. We did not know until we arrived that there was construction going […] on, that was not a big deal. I do not know if our room was finished, under construction, or not yet begun: Carpets, beds and furniture were all in good condition and looked good. There was plastic over the smoke detector, the wallpaper in the bathroom was sagging and stapled on and work is needed around the window and tub. I would stay here again, I would recommend it to others, but I would hope they would take care of the problems that exist. Mehr

This hotel is really wonderful. I stayed predominantly for business but my Mam came along with me and we stayed in a twin room. The room was incredibly clean, comfortable and a great place to rest our heads after a long day. It was also cosy enough for us to take a glass of wine back to the room at the end of an evening and have a chat before bed. The […] windows need replacing as without the thick curtains it would have been freezing and there was a great deal of condensation on the windows but this did not affect us. However the bar and restaurant were also great places to hang out and people watch. For a hotel bar, it wasn't overly pricey and the decor was particularly welcoming as the Christmas decorations are currently up. The hotel was conveniently located near the Capitol (you can see it from the hotel) and the Union Station. It's also a great place to stay if you intend to see the Smithsonian buildings. There's not a stack of places to eat and drink nearby but a quick walk into Penn Quarter and you're faced with lots of places to eat and drink. The hop-on hop-off tour bus also stops outside the hotel if you decide to use this as a cheaper mode of transport. I would stay in this hotel over and over again...it's the sort of place that makes you sad that your partner hasn't got to stay in. I've reviewed the hotel for a couple of websites and also the hotel sent me a survey and a member of staff (often the Manager) replies almost immediately with comments and thanks. Exceptional. Mehr

While there was construction going on in the hotel, I could barely tell. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. Staff was very helpful - had an issue with the wifi and guest services called to follow up to make sure it was working. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed there when they were making renovations. I've stayed there before and the service, drinks, and staff were always wonderful. However, this time I went for a romantic weekend. Went great except when the mood strikes and you hear hammering and construction. Our stay was so short and they informed us before hand that we didn't even bother to […] complain. Upon checkin they did say they would accomodate us. I would stay there again. The location can't be beat ( you can walk to Union Station) but I would confirm whetther or not construction is being done. Mehr

Best hotel we stayed in during a four week holiday in USA. Really comfortable, clean and the staff were really, really helpful. If you are into museums, as we are, the hotel is a short walking distance from the Capitol Building and the fabulous museums and art galleries in Washington. Would certainly stay there again if we re-visit the city.

Great Hotel to stay but not nice area to walk at night.

The hotel boasts comfortable beds and they are not kidding. We slept well and enjoyed all of the amenities at the Liaison. The restaurant is first class. A delicious cup of coffee and wonderful food. Highly recommend.

Hotel was perfect. Great location, fabulous but expensive restaurant, deli next door, easy access to the metro and sight seeing, a comfy quiet room and helpful staff and concierge.

Our stay was amazing! We booked this hotel last minute as an add on to a 3 night stay at the W DC. We wished we had stayed all 4 nights with the Liaison. The W DC failed to impress in every way. The Liaison staff, from bellman, to bartender, to frontdesk, to concierge and housekeeper were ALL friendly and helpful. Having Art and Soul was an added bonus. […] Book with confidence! Mehr

I had meetings at the Senate, the House, and Veterans Memorial. All walkable from the Hotel. Pros: Restaurant was delicious, but pricey. Staff was resourceful and really nice. Room was spacious and delightful. Cons: Water faucets leaked. Room overlooked NJ Ave. Depending on the night, could hear the taxi whistle ALL night (Thurs, not Wed)

Hotel quality was more than I expected and I was pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a nicer room upon late check in. Staff very friendly and efficient; lobby bar a nice place to relax. Location is excellent. Highly recommend.

I would not recommend this hotel at all. The bathroom was dirty. We were too tired to get another room unfortunately. The tub was dirty and there was significant mold on the tiles...also one of the desk clerks was rude....i would not recommend this hotel to anyone

The staff is helpful with giving directions and the food is wonderful. The bed and pillows were the most comfortable I've ever had in a hotel. I'd stay there again. It's just a bloack and a half from Union Station, so extremely convenient!

We were able to comfortably walk from Union Station with our roller bags. Walked from Capitol to hotel without bags. Check-in was hassle free. Would like to have had an in-hotel breakfast option; were able to find a convenient place for breakfast close by but closed on Sunday.

Our stay at the Liaison Capital Hill was a very pleasant experience. The staff were all professional, friendly, courteous and helpful. The facilities were good and we would happily recommend this hotel to everyone.

This hotel was very conveniently located. The staff were friendly. Unfortunately the rooms were not soundproof and very noisy from neighbouring rooms. The restaurant we found to be very expensive and not as nice as we had thought as they advertise an award winning chef.
