Dieses Hotel eignet sich auf grund der der nahen Lage zum Flughafen gut fuer eine Uebernachtung vor dem Weiterflug. Nettes und kompetentes Personal an der Rezeption. Sehr gutes Fruehstuecksbuffet und gute Zimmerausstattung. Auch allgemein gute Hotelkette. I love it.

Was gut ist: Das Hotel liegt nah am Flughafen - ist trotzdem ruhig. Kostenloser Shuttle Service. Lobby und Restaurant (Italienisch) sind ok Frühstück ist lecker. Weniger gut: Die Zimmer sind schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen - aber noch ok und sauber. Insgesamt: Als An - und Abflughotel bestens geeignet.

A good 4 hour sleep is all that I can really say about this hotel. I didn't want to stay at the Cairo airport for waiting until my plane departed at 4AM , so I got a room at the Novotel. It's a cheap airport hotel so expectations weren't high. Transportation to and from airport was good and all staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful experience in the Novotel, they had free wifi for all rooms, a free shuttle that runs 24hrs a day, and their location is pretty perfect for anyone who needs to do business or anything near the airport. I was worried about staying at this hotel as there had been a lot of negative reviews about this hotel. However I had nothing to worry about. The shuttle bus from the airport was the reason I decided to stay there as I had a flight at 8am the next day. I found all the staff very pleasant. My room was clean and spacious. I know there have been comments […] about the carpets but I did not find them bad. I knew that the swimming pool was out of action until December as it did warn me on Expedia. However as this was just a stop over for me it did not affect me. I was leaving at 5.30 in the morning and was informed that breakfast started at 5am which is a real bonus as most hotels dont start breakfast that early. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room. I asked for an early morning call and that came at the correct time. The shuttle bus ran 24 hours a day so there was no problem with me getting to the airport the next day. Would definately stay here again if I have a stop over. Mehr

Incredibly convenient location with free shuttle service to and from the airport ~1km away. Free breakfast unlike some of the other hotels close to the airport. Reasonable internet connection from the lobby. Bland room, however definitely served it's purpose.

Good shuttle service, rooms worn out and dirty, beds like rocks, "pillows" like concrete, no attention to detail when cleaning, food tolerable, no pool, metal construction wall around the yard ( probably forever, as no construction has been going on for a long time), smoking in lobby affects dining room etc, safe in room is helpful, good water pressure […] in shower. It is only good for a transit passenger for no more than 10 hours in Cairo, as the hotel is really unfriendly.. The rooms are very poor. The good thing about the hotel is the free WiFi in the lobby area and the shuttle bus from and to the airport.

The staff and lobby area were excellent; however, the double room we stayed in was small and tatty around the edges, which was disappointing when the bathroom was in new and excellent condition. Our bed had a small, thin undersheet, with no mattress topper (which would have alleviated the discomfort of the hard unsprung bed), nor a top sheet. The duvet […] had been placed with the buttons at the head of the bed, which meant we had to remake the bed. At night, even with earplugs, the music, from the hotel next door, continued until after 3am; which meant it was impossible to get a good night's rest before our early morning flight. Its a pity, as there is no aircraft noise, and the Novotel had already complained to the neighbouring hotel on a previous occasion. We chose the hotel for it's close proximity to Cairo International Airport, as we had flown from Sharm El Sheikh, and had an early morning flight the following day. We planned to spend the afternoon relaxing by the pool; however the pool area was out of service due to building work. Its difficult to give a good review of ths hotel based on this one experience, and should in no way reflect on the helpful and professional staff, and the fact the the overall facilities offered would have met our expectations had they been available. Overall, if the music hadn't destroyed our sleep, our rating would have been better, and we would be more inclined to return again for one night on route to London. Mehr

The overall hotel was nice, but our room was filthy. There was a mysterious white stain on the decorative pillow on the bed, and the sheets were covered in short black hairs. I'm not picky by any means, but the room was bad enough that I was motivated to write a review.

The hotel is in a great location being right next to the airport. It's not incredibly expensive either. Those are the only benefits. The food in the restaurants are overpriced and of very low quality. The hotel needs an update; very dingy and dirty. I found the service to be very poor. There aren't many choices if you need to spend by the airport. This is the only reason this Novotel is in business. It has a shuttle that goes back and forth between the terminals and the hotel 24/7. I called the hotel before hand and they said there was no need to know when I'm arriving and that I should ask the information at the terminal to call […] the shuttle for me when I arrive. I did that but the information desk said that I should wait outside. He didn't call them. I found the shuttle by chance as I was walking around the airport at 3 am. Bottom line: very inefficient. Room is clean and basic but in much worse condition than it was just a couple of years ago. I called before hand to let them know that I'll check in late, the receptionist refused to take note of that and said that I should call the reservations office between 9 and 4. This is the second time in about a 7 month period I've stayed at this hotel. I use it the night before I have an early morning flight, it just makes it easier since traffic from Cairo can be unpredictable. The rooms are nice and clean. The beds are comfortable but I find that the bedding doesn't breathe well so I spent the night being hot so I'd take […] the blankets off and then be cold.
