Wir möchten immer ein Zimmer zum Hof haben und nicht eines im angrenzenden Hotelgebäude. Ich habe deshalb schon die teurere Zimmerkategorie gebucht mit 2 Betten. Aber wie letztes Mal 10 Dollar Upgrade gezahlt. Aber dafür super freundlicher Service. Super Preis Leistungsverhälltnis für San Francisco und tolle lage zu Fuß 5-10Minuten zur Fisherman-Warf. Auch parken für 12 Dollar in San Francisco ,es sind es in den meisten anderen Hotels 25-50 Dollar.Jederzeit wieder.

Das Hotel liegt in der Geary St. ein paar Blocks vom Union Square. Wir hatten ein Zimmer im zweiten Stockwerk im Mittelgang, was den großen Vorteil hat, dass man den Straßenlärm nicht mitbekommt, sondern nur den gelegentlichen Lärm den andere Gäste verursachen. Die Zimmer haben nur ein kleines Fenster mit einem wenig schönen Ausblick auf den Innenhof. Das Continental Breakfast besteht aus Kaffee, Toast m. Butter u. Marmelade, O- bzw. Apfelsaft u. einem Stück Obst. Problematisch ist die Parkplatzsituation, da gleich vor der Haustür eine Bushaltestelle ist und ansonsten i.d.R. nur Parkplätze für Kurzparker vorhanden sind. Das Hotel bietet für 30 $ p. Tag einen Valetparkservice an, d.h. es kommt jemand u. parkt das Auto irgendwo, was sehr gut funktioniert hat. Das Hotel liegt zwar in der Nähe des Unionsquare aber auch sehr dicht am Tenderloin Bezirk, den man vor allem Nachts meiden sollte. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel vom Preis - Leistungsverhältnis weiter empfehlen!

Hotel und Zimmer absolut OK, Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Teile der Designausstattung wirken etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber alles technisch OK und sauber. Lage zum Zentrum (untere Marketstreet) gerade noch zu Fuß zu bewältigen (ca. 2km)

Older building -- well maintained. Clean and comfortable. Good value for the money. Was undergoing a remodel during stay -- did not interfere with stay.
"Red Roof Inn - simple and clean"
More like a motel, but in a nice area with a great path along the water for a morning walk/run. Room was quite adequate and clean. Free wifi worked but was slow.
"Good for SF"
Basically no complaints...not high end, but an adequate room; close to airport, about 20 minutes to downtown if no traffic. My only gripe is that they would accept or cash an Amex travellers check.

"Red Roof Inn-everything I expected"
My brother and I had a late flight into San Fran to attend the Giants playoff game so instead of paying for another day at the expensive hotel in downtown we decided to just crash here once we landed. It was perfect close to the airport yet secluded enough to not be bothered by the noise pollution airports can cause. We got our car rental and we were […] there in ten minutes. The diner downstairs is good too. Not expensive either as compared to the other hotels within walking distance of this one. A must stay. Staff is good and I couldn't be picky about the decor who cares since price is so reasonable. Mehr

Shuttle service, restaurant on-site, not a five-star but a good value for the money.
"quick stay"
The hotel isn't new but it was clean and comfortable. Plus the staff was very accommodating and helpful on check in and checkout times. The airport shuttle was prompt and we used it several times.

Staff was very friendly and prompt. The room was sufficient and comfortable, just right for a one night stay. For the fair price don't expect many amenities, but perfect for a quick night stay. Attached restaurant is open 24hrs, serving good food at good prices, comparable to a Dennis if you live in the East Coast. The proximate area doesn't have many […] attractions, but felt very safe. We used this hotel in preparation for a late flight. It was basic but clean and adequate. There is an excellent Mexican restaurant at the nearby sports complex. A convenient shuttle to the airport is included.
I stayed there only one night to have a close access to the airport the following morning. The toilet was loose, so it did move if you sat on it. This hotel is very close to what appeared to be swamp land. I would suspect in the summer months that it could have a rather foul odor outdoors and perhaps a thriving mosquito population. I stayed here one night to catch an early morning flight from SFO. The room was quiet and clean. An airport shuttle runs every half hour 24 hours a day to SFO. There is also a restaurant connected to the hotel, though I didn't get chance to try it.

The hotel was reasonably clean and comfortable, and very inexpensive. The airport is very nearby, and the free shuttle runs there regularly from the hotel. The BART station at the airport in turn provides easy access to get into the city. The hotel staff are very friendly, and always ready to help. "Great airport hotel @near budget rates"
I am so grateful for this RRInn! The rooms are extremely clean and well kept (they look newly redone) and you can leave your car there (safely, I would add) for only $10/day. They have a free airport-hotel shuttle that leaves twice an hour and is always on time, in my experience, and the ride to SFO is only about 10 minutes. The pool is not open in […] the winter, but looks clean and must be nice in the summer (if it's heated). Haven't seen a hottub, which is too bad. Overall, this place is great, especially if you want to drive a fair distance to SFO, then leave early the next morning (rather than always having to route through there anyway from outlying areas). The Red Roof Inn at San Francisco Airport was just O.K. - The towels are worse than the ones I donated to the dog shelter at home. But it did appear to be clean, but no frills at all. It met our needs for this trip, but won't return.

The hotel locates in quiet neighborhood, the staff are friendly and helpful. Has shuttle to San Francisco airport.
The computer in the lobby wasn't working which was a disappointment since we didn't have our laptop. Other than that, it is a great hotel, clean, and friendly staff.

This is a clean low end hotel that is just fine for an inexpensive one night. Not the most comfortable beds but didn't expect it to be that great. Pretty far south of the city.

Hotel room was clean, which is always a huge plus. Convenient airport shuttle that dropped guests off & picked them (designated times) at the airport for free. Staff at the front desk was friendly and knowledgeable when answering any questions we had, particularly when recommending transportation methods within the city.

This is a practical location. The staff is friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The views of sky touching the Bay are precious. I didn't have time to go for a walk but I saw people enjoying this picturesque landscape.

Red Roof Hotel near San Francisco airport with its free shuttle bus to the Airport and BART train system, proved a good choice. The room was clean, the central heating effective and the staff friendly. The bus took us to the Airport and from there we could ride the BART train right into the heart of San Francisco to enjoy the sights. The train itself […] is not cheap though (about $16 return), so you should cost that into the equation when thinking to save money by staying outside San Francisco at hotels like Red Roof. "nice place limited items."
only had a pair of towels and two toilet paper rolls. The ice maker on our floor was broken so i had to head down a floor with a some what working elevator. other then that, the place was really clean and the beds where comfy. place was nice and quite. The staff was really freindly too. would stay again.

if you're looking for something close to San Francisco (20min drive), this hotel which is next to SFO airport is probably the best value. Although pay a bit more (around $15 a night extra) and you can get a much nicer place like the Double Tree hotel next door. "Good location in safe area."
This hotel does not have much in the way of ammenities but was a great value. The room was in overal good condition (mostly updated) and conveniently located near the airport and lots of restaurant options close by. The area was safe and the price was great. I would recommend to a friend and would definitely stay here again if on a budget.
