Tolles Hotel mit Südstaatencharme. Direkte Anbindung mit Straßenbahn an die Sehenswürdigeiten. Gutes Frühstück für amerianische Verhältnisse. Umgebung gewöhnungsbedürftig was aber nicht weiter stört.

Das Hotel liegt günstig, wenn auch nicht in Bestlage-was kein Nachteil ist. French Quarter und Garden District sind zu Fuß erreichbar, (ca. 15 min Gehzeit). Oder kürzer mit der Cable car (Station direkt vor dem Hotel) - Zimmer sauber und großzügig, Flatscreen TV, Freies W-Lan. Kleiner Pool, Wirlpool im Freien. Erstklassiges Restaurant im Haus (Tappas) […] - Insgesamt eine sehr ansprechende Anlage. Preis -Leistung: wahrscheinlich kaum zu toppen. (Freies)Frühstücksbuffet ist einfach und billig. Wir haben uns in der nahen Umgebung für ein paar Dolllar was besseres gesucht.. Uns hat es (trotz thunderstorms LEE) sehr gefallen und werden nächstes mal wieder in dieser Anlage übernachten. Mehr

Convenient located walked to convention center or short cab ride. Room was nice, clean and fit the need. Breakfast was average but did the trick since it was included. Front desk was very nice. Couple of minor issues, doors are hard to open have to lift door handle up. When I got their the room was not set up right missing shampoo, soap, etc.. a washcloth […] was left in the bath. Once those were fixed the room was fine. Hotel itself had nice open areas to sit outside. Good restaurants are within walking distance and the trolly stops out in front. I would stay here again. Location was good, hotel room could of used some updating. Breakfast could have used a little variety. By day 3, we had to eat out!

Awesome place, cute charming, would stay here again, friendly staff, great continential breakfast, neighborhood if walking around late at night can get a little creepy but not bad. St. Charles street car picks up right in front of this hotel and really easy to get to the french quarter on it. I liked the separateness of the buildings and the lovely patio areas.

Room was small no walking room with bed.with door closed you can see light,(about a half inch gap).Ok for a place to just sleep.Price around for what we paid not worth it.

Very enjoyable.

The hotel was quaint and well decorated. The beds were comfortable and fairly spacious. My only complaint at all was the breakfast staff was a bit rude and curt, but other than that everything was quite pleasant!

nice clean hotel with good staff well landscaped grounds. a spacious king size room. pretty good breakfast bar. right next to the trolley and one of the cheapest hotels on parking your car.

Very cute hotel and very good location but the humidity in our room was so high that everything felt wet. We ran the air conditioner but it didn't help much.

Convenient location to work in the city...

I loved the courtyard and the hotel decor. I love the fact that it isn't a big hotel and it wasn't that busy during Spring Break and a couple NBA games were going on that week. Its affordable, esp. for a few broke college students! The rooms was decorated nicely. It had a touch of purple and pink! Perfect for us ladies! You might want to eat in the […] courtyard if its a nice day. The front desk employees were helpful and nice and helped answer our questions. The only thing negatives were the tub was a little dingy and we had to park across the street in a gated area that I think locks after a certain time...However, we got through that. Also drive slower when you are near the hotel because I passed by the entrance twice! The streetcar stops right in front of the hotel, which is good because you might want to ride it to Bourbon St./French quarter unless you want to walk 20 mins (we did once because the streetcar broke), but it wasn't thaaat bad because it was a nice day. One of Emeril's restaurants is across the street and there are a couple of other eateries nearby, inculding a bbq restaraunt, Wendy's and Popeyes if you're just really hungry and need something right away. I enjoyed the hotel and I plan on staying there again when I go to New Orleans again. Mehr

The location of this place is great: easy access to street cars and getting around the Garden District. However- the photos are NOT where you are going to stay. There is a charming building "front" but the rooms are not even connected. They are pretty standard rooms, no complaints.

One day, our room was not cleaned at all.

This hotel was very clean and well maintained. It had a street car stop right in front. The street car would take you all the way to canal and bourbon street in about 5-10 minutes. Would stay here again.

I'm rating this a 4 based on convenience - the location for Mardi Gras is fabulous. The staff in general was very polite. One thing that irked me was the advertising of free breakfast, only to find out after arriving it was not available during Mardi Gras. Which I understand but it would have been nice to know prior to booking. They did give us free […] parking- not sure if it was to make up for that or not. The rooms were all clean and in good repair. My only other complaint was all the children running around screaming at 8am but that was more to do with the parents than the hotel. This is a family friendly hotel to stay at for MG. Mehr

Location , Location , Location .. for the price per night highly recommended . Transportation not a problem streetcar stops in the front of the hotel . stayed 3 days before cruise and noticed most of the travel agency book there clients on this place. Paid 7 dollars from hotel to port terminal .

Valerie was the staff on duty at the time we arrived. She was very helpful and courteous. We were exhausted from traveling and requested early check-in. Valerie made it happen! Later she gave us great directions and referrals to ride the streetcar and find an awesome restaurant. The surrounding area is a little intimidating at night, but we had no problems. […] The bed was surprisingly comfortable, so for the low, low rate, we'd recommend it. Mehr

I stayed here with my two boys for a Comic Con. I have read some complaints that the hotel is not really close to the convention center. The first day we decided to cab it. only got to with in 4 blocks of it b4 traffic was redirected. The cabbie let us out and I only paid 5 dollars. the walk was easy to and from. Just remember to stay on the main road […] by I- 10 and you will be fine. I would not feel good after dark walking. From the convention center on our second day we took a cab to Cafe DuMonde. its a health walk and with young kids was well worth the 13 dollars. If your in teh french qtr you can either catch teh St. Charles st. trolly or take a cab. We opted for a cab because I did not have a street map and didnt want to walk around teh qtr with my boys being lost. The Neighborhood around the Inn was OK for us. If your nervous about walking down a street with people of color hanging out in front of the Daqueri shops, dont be. no one paid us any attention. Lot's of options to eat. I must give props to SLICE Pizza house. Very good hand tossed pizza and good Draft selection. It was also KID FRIENDLY. (go right from in front of the Inn and about 3 blocks on right.) to the Left wabout 2 or 3 blocks was a smoothie place that made really tasty Gyro's. Mehr

I would absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone. It was a very clean and neat hotel. Although I didn't need much from their staff they were always very courtious. The courtyard setup with palm trees and fountains was very relaxing and pleasant to look at from our balcony. The hotel was in a great location as we were basically in the middle of the […] French Quarter and the Garden District. Everything was easily accessible as the trolley had a pick-up right outside the entrance which saved us a fortune on taxis. Very very nice stay!! Mehr

We stayed at the Maison St. Charles , because it was close to the train station. Our rook was wonderful. Check in was quick and the front desk clerk was very helpful in helping us with directions to our room and where to park our car. I would say this is a great place to stay. It is close to a lot of things in New Orleans. We will stay again next time […] we go to New Orleans. Mehr

I have always enjoyed staying at this Hotel. They just installed a PA Music system in The courtyards. I could not fall asleep with the sound Coming into the room. I needed to get a Good night sleep to drive 900 miles the next Day. I complained but the sound stayed on 24/7. This was a great place to stay!

This establishment should be designated a motel and the expectation would be lowered and I think disappointment would be diminished.

Stayed here for the 2012 Sugar Bowl. Outside of staying on Boubon St. the location is outstanding. Convenient walk to Bourbon St (about 20 mins.) and was easy to get to the Superdome. Also, WWII museum was about a 10 minute walk away. Hotel is older, but was clean. If you're looking for a less expensive, clean place with a good location, this is the […] hotel for you. Mehr

The location was good. St. Charles street car ran along the front of the hotel. They need to do some clean-up work, such as, getting rid of cockroaches; the bathroom needed some plumbing work in the shower. I ended up with three inches of water in the tub after I finished my shower. Also, the cleanup crew completely overlooked our room one day. Other […] than that, it was just o.k. The Maison St Charles is convenient because the trolley stop is right out the front door. Otherwise, nothing special. Just a basic room. If you're looking for a place to sleep, it's fine!

We stayed at this hotel for 1 night before a cruise then 2 nights after the cruise. The rooms were clean and efficient. The trolley goes back and forth, right out in front. It cost $14.00 for a taxi to the cruise terminal. The hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms are small, but what a bargain compared to staying down in the French  […] Quarter. Mehr

I enjoyed my stay at the Maison St. Charles Quality Inn, an excellent facility in the architectural style of old New Orleans. The location suited me well: a half mile from the train station, right on the edge of the Garden District and the Warehouse District, about a mile from the French Quarter. The St. Charles Avenue Streetcar stops right in front, […] giving public transportation access to most of the tourist parts of the city. The rooms are large, well-appointed, pleasantly decorated, with luxurious funishings to satisfy even the most discriminating. My only complaint was with the housekeeping staff. My room was not ready when I arrived at 3:30PM even though their check-in time is stated to be 3PM. I had to wait over half an hour and was finally installed in another room. The housekeeping staff also did not clean my room during the day when I was out, did not make up my bed, etc. The desk staff, however was very soliticious and helpful (and apologetic). I would not let that minor flap with housekeeping keep me from staying there again, however, and I would recommend the facility to anyone. Mehr

This hotel is very nice- for the price i don't really think it can be beat. No complaints-the service was great and the amenities were too. It's not the Ritz, but it's good enough- besides, you shouldn't spend too much time in your hotel while you're in NO

We really enjoyed the hotel. It was nice to be in the Garden District and a trolley ride away from the French Quarter.

A nice place to stay if you are on a budget. Everything was clean, but a little dated. Convenient to trolley. I would recommend for a short stay.

The hotel is nestled in a perfect location - within a short distance to the Dome area, near the trolley, easy access to the interstate, etc. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast in the courtyard. Our stay was very pleasant and we will be sure to include the hotel on our next visit to New Orleans.

This hotel was very convenient to family in the Garden District and on a major street to other parts of the city. The price was very good - although [roce for in & out park was steep, but reasonable for the area. The room was small but the bath leaked hot water. Room needed to be renovated. Common areas a little run down, but rooms ,especially beds, are very comfy. Only complaint is bathroom very small. Visit my college daughter in Nola regularly. This is my new go to hotel. Close to Loyola and Tulane. Excellent value for the price.
