Feb. 2013Wir hatten einen "Courtyard" Room, also Innenhof gebucht, und der war auch sehr idyllisch. 2 Gasgrills zur Freien Verfügung, diverse Liegen, und Keycard-gesicherte Innenhof-Zugangstür . Das Zimmer mit kleiner Kitchenette und Kühlschrank war sehr behaglich eingerichtet, und unser King Bett super bequem! Der Strand ist allerdings noch ca 3 Meilen (stur geradeaus) entfernt, das geht aus der Beschreibung nicht so richtig hervor. Dennoch für diese Lage ein Top Motel. Wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind, dann buchen wir ganz sicher wieder hier!

Von einem Hilton Hotel erwartet man eigentlich ein super gepflegtes Hotel mit Top Austattung. Das checkers ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen und Bedarf einer Renovierung. Man sollte alyo nicht zu viel erwarten. Der Service ist super. Lediglich das parken ist sehr teuer. Man sollte das nahe gelegene pershing square parkhaus benutzen, das 12$ die […] Nacht kostet. Gute Lage in Downtown L.A. Für Urlaubsaufenthalt ist allerdings ein Standort in Hollywood oder Santa Monica besser. Downtown gibt es nicht allzu viel Interessantes zu sehen. Zimmerausstattung ist gut, das Bad wirkte allerdings schon spürbar abgewohnt. Hotelpersonal war überwiegend - mit einer positiven Ausnahme - wenig kundenorientiert und kaum engagiert. […] Fitnessraum eher klein. Parktipp: Hinter(!) dem Hotel gibt es eine Tiefgarage in der man günstiger über Nacht parken kann - also besser einmal um den Block fahren, anstatt in der Tiefgarage neben dem Hoteleingang zu parken. "Not worth your money"
When we booked this hotel it had pics of the roof top pool..which was one of the reasons we booked this hotel in the first place Well there is NO pool.. The rooms are small the tubs still had hair from the last person .. The parking was a block away if u didn't get valet parking. What I also didn't like was the same day we checked In , we left all of […] our belongs out on the bed thinking no was going to come in obviously, well when we returned we had a plate of complimentary brownies inside our room which I did not like them entering our room. .. "Old Building, but modern inside"
It looks like an old hotel on the outside, but you would never be able to tell how the outside looks when you are inside. Everything is modern and it is definitely a 4-5 star hotel. While the hotel was well maintained and the staff was friendly, I was disappointed that there was no notice that the roof top pool was under construction. Frankly, the pool as shown in the website was the main reason I booked the hotel. I love staying at Checkers when I'm in town for business. It is a small boutique hotel that's clean and comfortable. The staff if very friendly abd helpful. The restaurant is also nice (a little busy/crowded for breakfast during peak hours on weekdays but nice and quiet for dinner. I really liked the hotel. I lean towards the smaller boutique type hotels so that's what this is. One advantage is that it is a Hilton property and they know how to run nice hotels. Excellent food quality in the restaurant and bar area and excellent customer service all over the place. Hilton Checkers was right next door to our daughters apartment so it suited us well.The room was very comfortable, bed excellent, great linens etc and the service extremely helpful and friendly. "Downtown hotel if you do not mind the heat."
The location of the hotel was close to downtown, which is close to restaurants/food places and convenient stores. The temperature of the room was warm even though the thermostat has indicated it is 60 degrees. I'm not quite sure if the air conditioner has worked but the fan was really noisy. According to the weather forecast, it was warmer than usual, […] the highest temperature was 78 degrees. Thus, I don't think it would be comfortable to stay in this hotel when the weather actually gets hot. As warned by other reviewers, since I did not utilize the expensive valet parking service, I had reviewed carefully the hotel charge slip to ensure I was not charged. Granted they did not charge me for the valet parking, they had my address completely wrong (i.e. city and state). When I have asked the front desk lady about it, she simply shrugged it off and said that it does not matter because I do not have any room charges anyway. "Good hotel for traveling few days"

"Very Relaxing"
Service was excellent and room was very clean! My partner and I only had an overnight stay but found it very relaxing with a roof top pool and jacuzzi which has a great view over the city. Overall over stay was great and would highly recommend this hotel.Authentische Hotels.com-Gästebewertung

We had a nice stay at this hotel but Hotel needs to be updated, matresses are getting old. bell boys have a bad atitude and are not efficient. Receptionists are very nice and efficient. Staff was friendly from the start when we pulled up to the front door. Room was good and updated, bed was comfortable. The only odd things were on our 1st night (in the middle of the night) the toilet flushed on its own, twice. We just thought we had a friendly ghost visiting and wasn't bothered by it.
