great hotel service, only the room's temperature was warm and didn't seem to cool down. We were on the 6th floor. would recommend or use this hotel in the future.

The pretty water displays and open lobby floor plan is very inviting. It is great to have a drink from the bar, order a pizza, and chat with my family in a comfortable area. The indoor pool was great for the kids. However, the only downside we experienced was the food at the hotel's restaurant. It was terrible and over-priced. Very disapointed, I have stasyed their before and it was nice, this time people were screaming till 2am, I called front desk, as they did get it stopped at 215AM, in the morning I went to front desk and they said their was nothting they could do, sorry. Will not stay their again.

Overall it was a great place. At the bar, the bar tender was so nice and in the grill they where also very accomodating. Food was just okay, but price was good. The drinks at the bar was wonderful. The bed was very hard and the pillows where lumpy. the worst bed and pillow we have every had. Hope they upgrade.

My wife and I had an enjoyable night.

I have stayed in over 10 hotels in Springfield area. This one tops all of them and will not stay anywhere else from now on when visiting this area. Great price and location. when you walk in to the lobby it is luxury. And the breakfast is fantastic in the morning. definitely recomend this to anyone visiting.

Great place to stay but the sound from the atrium below echoes up to your room. Also didn't know there was a blackout shade behind the curtain sheers so it was pretty light when we were trying to sleep. There should be a sign in room about this plus where the ice machines are located.

Very nice hotel. Could be updated a little, I was in a suite had old tv tiny bathroom. The breakfast buffet could be a little better but over all very quiet clean and comfortable.

The location was perfect for what we were doing in Springfield that weekend. The room was probably a little small, but it fit 2 people perfectly. The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed our time there. We'll definitely be staying at the University Plaza Hotel the next time we stay in Springfield.

My wife and I stayed for three nights and went to MSU baseball games just two blocks away. Our stay was great, as usual. Friendly staff, nice breakfast, workout area and pool was busy but great late in the evening. Nicest property in Springfield.

The hotel was clean, the staff was friendly, the breakfast was excellent, but the bed was like a rock. Other than that, no complaints except the privacy curtain to block out the light certainly let sunlight in at the crack of dawn. I would recommend this hotel.

We had a very nice weekend here. My son had a gymnastics meet in springfield. We enjoyed our stay.

The air conditioning unit cycled every 75 seconds all night long, and during the "silence" the lobby music was clearly heard in the room. When I called down to ask them to lower the music in the lobby, the desk had no idea how to turn it down or off. There was a morning manager there at 6 who turned off the music before I got to the front desk, and […] explained that it was at the typical volume, she just wanted to turn it off, which is what I had wanted for the previous 9 hours. Pro’s: - Awesome full breakfast buffet. Good variety and plenty of seating. - Major items in good condition (caulk, grout, faucets, shower area, etc) – appeared to have been updated relatively recently. Con’s: - Courtyard style layout - all rooms (9 stories worth..) face inward to a courtyard. The noise of people in the lobby and bar area echo throughout […] the hotel and into the rooms quite profusely. While there was an option to manually turn on the fan in the room for white noise so the kids could sleep, the fan noise was realized only in the back room (where the kids weren't..). - Had to bring in our own fan for white noise in the front room so the kids could sleep. - Had to put sheets on the fold out couch mattress ourselves. - Pool was on the small side of adequate considering the number of guests the hotel can accomodate – got crowded in the evening very quick. - Counter tops were dusty in the corners, etc. Appeared to have not been wiped completely/thoroughly for a while.. Fair hotel, good location, overpriced in current condition, in need of serious remodeling. Seems nice at first but the longer your there it becomes obvious this place needs an upgrade, stuck in the 80's. Plan on taking the stairs as only two small elevators to service 9 floors. Waited more than 30 minutes to go to main floor two mornings in a row.

For the price, this hotel gave 5 star service, had a bountiful breakfast buffet, and was an overall beautiful place to stay. When ever I visit Springfield, MO I will definitely be staying at this hotel. The indoor pool and hot tub are also outstanding and very clean.

We really expected to have a better experience at this hotel. The bed was way to hard. I had a back ache for three days. The room was not vaccumed. There was continual noise coming from the center lobby of the hotel. All the rooms faced inward and the noise carried all the way upward. Between teenage kids, birthday parties, photography, and university […] re-union it was hard to hear the tv in our room. I would not refer anyone to this hotel and we will not be staying there again. I was in town for a hockey game and the hotel is walking distance, a short walking distance to the rink, so no screwing around with parking, which is limited on site. My only gripe was the bar closed at 10 pm. But considering the amount of college athletes in the building, probably a good idea. :)

This hotel is in a great location if you're visiting MSU or Drury University or OTC. I think that they need to invest some money in upgrades but the room and bathroom were clean and we had everything we needed. The free breakfast was nice, too.

Our stay at University Plaza Hotel in Springfield, Missouri was pleasant. We liked the convenient location to downtown. The staff was competent, friendly, and nicely attired. The free breakfast was several standard deviations above the mean of most such offerings at motels.

This hotel is older and could use some refurbishing, but it's comfortable and the price is right. It provides a good hot and cold complimentary breakfast in pleasant surroundings. It's located between the university campuses, Drury and Missouri State, and with easy access to commercial down town.

Very nice hotel. It was a great bargin due to the Holiday not very busy. Great place.

Other than the lobby undergoing some minor maintenance and repair work during my week long visit, the hotel provided excellent costumer service, a better than average free breakfast buffet, and a clean, comfortable room. If the hotel remains affordable, I would gladly stay there again in the future!

Yes, it is close to places we need to go, but the newer hotels has this one beat. They definately need to update the rooms, very cramped. When booking for five people, a double-double room does not cut it. When we inquired about a roll-a-way bed or sofabed we were notified of an extra charge. Seems like everything here was extra, including coffee, which […] other hotels provide free around the clock. The pool area was nice and the breakfast buffett was awesome, other than that, not worth the money. Mehr
