International Palms Resort Orlando - Orlando

Das Hotel ist alt, ungepflegt, nicht wirklich sauber, muffige Zimmer, lautes Klimagerät. Die Zimmer im Tower haben keinen Balkon, Fenster lassen sich nicht öffnen und im "inneren" Teil des Turmes (nach oben offen) ist es nicht wirklich schön (rauchen nur im EG in Raucherzonen), daher haben wir beim Checkin ein anderes Zimmer in einem der kleinen Nebengäuden […] verlangt. Diese sind eher Motel artig (2 Stockwerke, Zimmer begehbar von aussen) daher kann man mal schnell vor der Tür frische Luft atmen gehen (oder eben rauchen). Die Lage ist toll da mittendrin im Trubel (wer es mag) aber trotzdem suchen wir uns ein anderes Hotel das nächste Mal. Mehr

Das Hotel befindet sich in idealer Ausgangslage zu den meisten Attraktionen / Parks in Orlando - auch zum Messezentrum ist es nicht weit. Das Hotel wird gerade nach und nach renoviert - leider hatten wir dieses Mal ein unrenoviertes Zimmer - aber sonst wie immer alles bestens!

Das Hotel sieht schon sehr abgewohnt aus. Die Fotos entsprechen nicht dem tatsächlichen Stand. Es dürfte sich auch sicherlich nicht um ein Drei-Sterne-Hotel handeln. Das Hotel erinnert eher an die Hochhaussiedlungen im Ghetto. Gegend ist allerdings sicher. Das Hotel liegt auch super gelegen am I-94. Sämtliche Attraktionen (Universal, Disney etc.) liegen […] in der Nähe. Wer keinen Anspruch auf gehobenen Standard legt und hier nur zum Übernachten ist, wird auch im HInblick auf den Preis zufrieden sein. Alle anderen Finger weg. Mehr

Für unseren Tripp durch Florida war das genau das richtige Hotel für uns. Gut zugänglich, das Auto in der Nähe, was will man noch mehr !

Das Hotel liegt in kurzer Entfernung zu den Universal Studios. Shuttledienste zu den verschieden Parks werden vom Hotel angeboten.

Had to change from first room, dark, dismal beside car park. Second on 7th floor in tower, bigger brighter but Very Noisy had to turn off air conditioner & fridge like having tractors in room, also traffic noise. It was clean but again dismal as rest of building, advertised as newly renovated!!! I know it was cheap so get what you pay for? Also advertised […] with free wifi, parking, safe, coffee in room in first paragraph should leave that out as charged $7.50 plus tax per night for these. Not a good experience from the room not being available at a check in that was already late and not convenient at 4pm. Room had up to date television and bedroom furniture but quality and feel of the building, elevator, room, bathroom, and air conditioning was very old.

Went for a quick getaway with my mom. We picked this place because of the pictures of the pool and we were not disappointed. The pool and pool area was amazing. Our room was not the greatest. the window was really dirty and the beds needed to be updated, the tub was chipped, the telephone did not work, the toilet did not flush and the microwave was […] broken On our last night we arrived back from the pool to a friendly lizard in our room. Though they are cute at the pool, we did not want to sleep in the same room as one so we asked to move. We were moved to a room just down the hallway and it was excellent... too bad we did not move at the beginning of our stay because we would have had a completely different experience. Mehr

Unable to find the pool or spa tub however the staff was extremely welcoming and kind. They made sure we had everything we required while we were down in Florida and were helpful in locating things in the surrounding area

the stay ar your hotel was great but the place across the street was a big ripoff, The Lobster Feast is not a place that I would ever eat at again. The prices were not available until you asked for your bill then they wanted a 18% tip for nothing. I paid this but under due protest also they did not honor the coupon you furnished us with when we went […] over to this lunch that cost me $89. bucks in total for rubber lobster and crab legs. None of the food was worth the price I paid. If I had their website I would let them know as well. But your place is great. Mehr

I loved it and will do it again

We had three rooms booked and paid more for these so called better rooms they were so good that we asked to be moved immediately so we paid for a better room and we were moved to a cheaper room very upset

One particular reservation attendant was rude and hostile, should not be at the front desk

after searching for the right hotel for weeks before our spring break vacation, we came across International Palms. At first I thought it was too good to be true that there were no bad reviews, NONE. But once i got there it was exactly what I read about it. Excellent staff, excellent room, excellent amenities. The price was great. My kids enjoyed themselves […] greatly. I stayed at the tower, and the lobby looks so unique and tropical. I can't wait for my next vacation to make my reservations again. Mehr

very good clean and friendly, great pool

Good location. simple but big room, fairly clean. Shower needs fixing, air con quite noisy. Reception is understaffed- long wait almost always. Although my stay was pre-paid in full (as was also stated on the voucher) , upon chek out we were charged extra for things like "resort fees" and taxes. Otherwise it was ok, fair value considering the cost.

I read so many awful reviews about this hotel we were almost afraid to go on vacation. When we arrived, however, we found the employees (particularly the young woman, Crystal, at the front counter) to be most helpful. She rearranged our rooms so another traveler who hadn't reserved a room beforehand would be near us. We were booked into "Building D" […] which has been newly renovated. Yes, okay, it is an old hotel and there is only so much renovating that can be done. But our rooms were clean, our beds and pillows were comfortable and the room had a flat screen TV, a fridge and a microwave. The pool area is gorgeous but unfortunately we didn't have time to use it. The AC was a little loud in my room but not in the rooms of the other two families but I was so tired at the end of the day I slept through the night without problem. Building D does face I-4 on one side so light sleepers would probably want to ask for the other side of the building. For what we paid for the room and considering how close it was to the attractions we visited, I'd say we got a deal. You could definitely find much better hotels that are not as old and much prettier but you will be paying for it (a few miles down International Blvd. rooms are going for $300-$500 a night). I'd rather spend that at Disney and Universal and on souveniers for the grandkids than on a room I'm only in long enough to sleep, shower and change clothes in. All in all, it was fine for our needs. If you are looking for a place in the middle of everything for a good price. Good pool area we were in a newly remodeled room so it was nice. The computer system was down all day which I thought was odd and housekeeping staff was very nice front desk nice just lacked some professionalism that you would look for in a Resort. In proximity to Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure, Wet'n'Wild, and SeaWorld. Clean and comfortable.

If you are going to Disney, this isn't exactly the best hotel. On the map, it seems close but it takes about 15-20 minutes to get to Disney. Great location if you are going to Universal though. The poor rating I gave this hotel is minly due to the lack of hot water in the shower, and the hard beds. There were nights we would get home from visiting the […] parks and the water was warm to cold in the shower. There was nothing the staff could do. The beds are extremely firm...no heavenly beds here. he "remodeled room" was a freshly painted Motel 6 room. There was a hole on the wall as if someone punched it too. Me, my wife and another couple got a room in this hotel and the room was not like the picture, the front desk attendant was rude when I asked what room I was in they acted as if I was waisting there time... the toilet was constantly running... the pillows are hard and small and the mattress sunk in in the middle. Great pictures on the website. Nice lobby...nothing luxurious but nice. However, the rooms were far from comfortable. Mattresses were very uncomfortable. Small beds, old tube TV's, aggressive made service in the morning. Knock on the doors very early and non stop. Overall...not a good experience...sorry!

At check in we were told that resort fees are extra eventhough we called the hotel before arrival and we were assured that resort fees are covered - hotels.com also confirmed. After a long drive with family/kids we felt we had no choice.

We found bed bugs in our room the first night we were their. We were moved to another room down the hall. We were not really comfortable at all. we would not recommend this hotel to anyone at all. Management was not concerned at all.

We stayed here due to location. But it turns out location isn't everything. Called front desk multiple times with no answer. That is completely unacceptable. My daughter got sick, we cleaned up, but asked that the bathroom get some TLC. Not only did it not get it, they didn't even refill the tissues. I can not fathom how this hotel was so busy, because it was a horrible experience for me. I booked 4 nights with hotel.com for International Palms Resort and cancelled 3 of those nights due to the awful night we endured. I would spend less time writing the 2 things i appreciated about the hotel, but i'd much rather tell you why My husband and I only […] slept for 2 hours. After waiting in line for 20 minutes to check-in, i then spent several minuets attempting to find a parking spot. We arrived at our hotel room having to walk through the smoke of the neighbors on a Non-Smoking floor. i had to slam all of my weight into the door to get it to open. the air conditioner didn't have just a FAN setting so i wasn't able to block out the I-4 traffic that was maybe 40 feet away from our window. My husband and I weren't able to decide what's worse of a noise, motorcycles or tractor trailers. Of course I can't forget to mention those lovely neighbors again that had a boisterous hour at about 3 a.m. that at least drowned out the noise of the traffic for a while. Every time my husband and I turned, the "fitted sheet" and "mattress pad" also went with us. The sheets were also paper thin. We walked into the bathroom that felt like it was made for a midget. The pictures of the pool were alluring for us since our 3-year old loves swimming, but it felt too dangerous AND way too far to walk to get to the pool and back, so I didn't even attempt it. The staff was kind enough when i was dealing with them at the front desk. I felt no need to complain to them since they had no control over their other guests or traffic, but all I can do is write about my experience and warn others. I would only recommend this place to people that have hearing problems and don't have any standards when it comes to where and how you sleep. Mehr

The friendliness of the staff and the location made up for this very outdated hotel. We had a pleasant stay!

It was great, I hope to return soon. It,s also in the heart of all the parks !

Man, they had a great photographer for the hotel room pics on line. Only a small portion of the hotel has been remodeled and the facelift was very minimal. I asked to see one of the newer rooms which was still not even close to what the pictures show. I spent hours going through all the hotels in area to choose one and settled on this. The room had […] the basics but it really needs a major overhaul to look like what their pictures show. Don't stay in the tower either. We stayed on the top floor big mistake. The railing should be enclosed as you feel like you're going to fall off. Mehr

Entire hotel is very old and outdated. First room we were in had a terrible shower head, barely any water coming out. Asked for someone to fix it, they finally showed over an hour later but we were tired of waiting and using the shower. Said they would fix it the next day but didn't. Also found 1 cockroach, not biggie. Second room on a different day […] had terrible caulking in the bath and water was literally leaking under the tub shell (big bubble of water under tub flooring), and under the carpet...hence the black mold on the wall, obviously a problem for a while. We came back at the end of the day to find a blower trying to dry it out and a poor job of re-caulking- one problem, still water under the tub floor and the caulking was peeling. No note, no message, just a loud blower in the room. Fortunately we were checking out the next day. Would not recommend if you are judging off of the website pictures. Wish I would have chosen a trusted hotel chain and opted to spend a little bit more- would have been worth it for comfort. Mehr

The pool is awesome! The rooms are acceptable, but beds are not comfortable and are tiny. Breakfast buffet is decent and a great price.
