Holiday Inn Shreveport West - Shreveport

You can tell it was nice once but it is time for some renovation. The elevators and the rooms along the parking lot are in disrepair. Looks and smell like it has been though one hurricane too many.

Hotel was fine. Little older, pool nice but freezing cold. Staff was very nice and helpfull.

This was a very nice hotel, with updated rooms. The bed was comfortable. The hotel staff was nice. My only complaint was that our reservation was for 2 double beds, as we were traveling with 2 kids. When we arrived, we were given one king bed. When I brought this to their attention, she said that that was all the hotel had left, that when booking you […] aren't guaranteed the room you choose, it's only listed as your preference. However, she did have us a rollaway bed brought up immediately. All in all, a very good hotel. Mehr

We stayed one nite but my kids had fun in the indoor pool the wife and I had a few drinks at the bar,bartender was rude but drinks where good.Rooms where small and the beds where extra small..called down for ice cream and we where told they where out..who runs out of Ice cream but other than that it was Kool.....

Feb 11, 2012 Valentine Day weekend we spent one day (Thank God) at the hotel. It's sad when the staff has to try and stay warm along with the hotel guest It was FREEZING in the hotel LOBBY and BREAKFAST area, I don't know if they were trying to conserve energy or what, that was not the weekend to do it. The elevator was like an Icebox. Not only that […] but they only had two people working the breakfast area on that Sunday, they were doing there best to keep up with the orders. However, some people did get frustrated with the lenght of time they had to wait and asked for refunds. They really need to set up a buffet where the guest can serve themselves and they monitor the food. We wasted a lot of time waiting. Good we wasn't in a rush although I could have used that extra hour of sleep. I would stay again but, definitly would Not purchase breakfast with the room again. I almost froze to death by the time we got our food. Mehr

We stayed in mid February during Mardi Gras. The hotel room was comfortable and clean. The bed was comfortable.The lady at check in was friendly and helpful. ( I did have to adjust the cable on the back of the t.v. to stop my television from being fuzzy. ) However, we wanted to eat at the restaurant in the hotel and it was closed (on Saturday night). […] We were told we could sit at the bar and order from there so we did. The food was alright. We both had the new york strip. A little too salty... The bartender was nice (Erica). My biggest complaint is that it was FREEZING in the bar area where we had to eat. (Didn't want to do room service.) Every time the front doors would open the 30 degree wind would whip in and cut right through us. The door opened a lot that night. As a matter of fact, I noticed that they had a space heater behind the check in desk. Also, I was told by other guests that the indoor pool was cold, but I didn't test it out. Even if it was warm I would have frozen when I got out! If you go and stay in your room, it is a great hotel. I would recommend it for anyone who just needs a place to sleep. the rooms should be updated. Pillows had an odor from people using before. Pillow cases were clean.

The staff at the Holiday Inn @ Financial Plaza Shreveport were all very friendly & helpful. The room was clean and it was a very comfortable stay.

This is no longer a higher end hotel, but it may have been once, My room was fine except for the smell of air freshener. The bed was comfortable, the room was large. This is a non smoking hotel, but obviously the rule was not followed. For the price, I typically stay in "fresher" hotels.

The hotel is very old and not maintained. The room did not smell good. The hallway smelled like vomit. The front desk is unfriendly. I called to ask about local pizza's places and was put on hold for over 5 minutes, no one ever came to the phone. The pool is old and very rough on your feet. I would not reccomend this hotel to anyone for the price it […] is not worth it. Mehr

Loved everything about the hotel. Service was excellent! Front desk was helpful and courteous. Except for a big family reunion going on at the time that crowded the pool area, everything else was perfect! I highly recommend.

The hotel seemed dingy and the elevators were not equipped with AC; therefore, were extremely HOT. Also, since the pool has inside access the kids' yelling and crying boomed inside the building. This made trying to relax at the bar really difficult. Also this hotel is so off the main interstate, it was difficult to find. I would not stay at this hotel […] again or recommend it to anyone. There are not many nice hotels for some reason in this area without paying too much for a casino hotel which isn't necessarily nicer. This isn't a 5 star stay, but for the price it's a good value. It's close to just about everything with a 10 minute drive. The facilities were decent and room clean and comfortable. I am giving it a high rating because […] it was actually better than I expected. For the price and location, it's great. Few issues: the outdoor hottub/spa is now a tiny kiddy pool. The indoor spa works great. Don't go looking for the sauna, there are signs and it is listed in the amenities - but it doesn't exist. It looks to be an exercise room. They should update their description. Mehr

Would defnitely stay here again. With the indoor and outdoor pool and easy going staff, perfect for kids!!!

This hotel seems run down and old. The water in the pool was nasty. My 11 and 9 year old didn't even want to swim because it was so bad. Hot tub didn't work. I did like the little sit down restaurant.

This hotel was hard to find and out of the way. The restaurant was a little high. The staff was wonderful, the rooms were clean . I reserved our rooms online and had no troubles at all.

Someone above us overfilled the tub and the ceiling leaked into the tub and surrounding area. The drip, drip, drip could be heard all night. Also, the room was too hot and we had to shut down the fan because setting the thermostat made no difference. No complimentary breakfast which I thought we had.

Nice hotel with a very curteous staff. However, you could tell it was old and in a very difficult spot to get to.

Not worth for the money at all. For the money I paid, didn't even get a bottle of water. Don't expect any type of refreshments or continental breakfast to be included. Checkin staff were very friendly but the checkout staff wasn't accommadating at all. Bathrooms could have been much cleaner.

The hotel is old and needs remodeling. The were out of conditioner and room service was awful (service and food quality). The beds were comfortable, but we had to get a maintenance man to come and fix our A/C. I do not recommend this hotel. There are much nicer hotels in Shreveport.

Went to eat at the hotel restaurant order 3 different things and they did not have any of the things that we had ordered. Also for the price we paid thought it included a free breakfast which it didn't. This hotel is very much overpriced.

Friendly staff, comfy bed, only problem was there was a small amount of cigarette ash behind the bathroom door of my non-smoking room otherwise good room considering the price.

The hotel was very nice and the service was outstanding. They went out of their way to make sure my stay was excellent.

The room was very clean and nice. Had the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in at a hotel.

Old food was left in the refrigerator, the bathroom door did not shut, and the elevator service was poor.
