Four Points by Sheraton Chattanooga at Hamilton Place - Chattanooga

The person on the front desk didn't even get up to take care of usand wasen't dressed professional. The elevator was dirty. On entering the room it was 80degrees and there were no kleenex in the bath room We didn't stay the 2nd night. Just not our kind of place.

First I want to say that I have never had to give a scathing review for a hotel in the three years I have used Hotels.com. When we first got to our room we opened the door and the room stunk light musty dank cat pee...very bad and two lights did not work. We asked for a different suite and got two keys to check other rooms. Both rooms had a slight odor […] but nothing like the first room. Here is a list of some of the problems; both phones didn't work, wifi didn't work, mildew around bathtub, no extra blankets for the pull-out bed, everything in the room seemed slightly damp, poor looking previous repairs, teeny tiny bathroom, very basic breakfast, had to walk down 5 floors to get extra blankets because our phones did not work even after they sent maintenance up to check it out (all he did was change one of the phones cords which didn't work and we didn't even get a note) and we had to walk down 5 flights of stairs because their elevator had people trapped in it. When the owner brought us blankets 45 minutes later she said she could only find one and she would have housekeeping bring us more in the morning. We were originally scheduled to stay 2 nights but after the first night we switched to a different hotel. Normally I always check reviews on hotels before I book them but I somehow didn't check this one probably after staring at 100 different hotel rooms in the area which was a horrible mistake. At 1am we looked up the hotel on my husbands phone since the wifi didn't work and on Google we found terrible reviews which included a review that mentioned the phones not working and another review that mentioned the elevator breaking down. Not having phones that work and the elevator problem is horribly dangerous for guests and Clarion should re-evaluate this hotels ownership and management because normally Clarion is a good place to stay...but not this one. I have never slept in such a hard bed in my life. I brought two highly stuffed sleeping bags, opened them out and layered them together to be able to sleep. The pool is nice and quiet on the back of the property, but needed cleaning with mildew inside the port for the skimmer pots. Ask the desk early for a handicap room if you need one. People have […] found they are cheaper than regular rooms and are asking for them when they don't really need them. Breakfast is always good and available over 4 hours for those who like to sleep in a little. You can walk across the street to several restaurants and don't have to drive and repark. It's easy access off I-75 and far enough from the airport you don't hear the planes. Mehr

I would rate this as on the lower end of acceptable. The bathroom/bathtub was not in great shape -- the toilet tank dripped and the bottom of the tub had no enamel. But it was near where I needed to be and easy to access.

Elevator was broke, pool closed. Room was fine for price. Bathroom is super super small. Breakfast was avg. Staff was nice, hotel just needs renovations. We stayed one night and move to a surrounding hotel.

just need make after house keeping cleans and leaves the room to make sure that they lock the door . because i came back to find my door pull lock and all my personal items were in there someone could easley walk in and away with my property... and housekeeping did noy speak english so she did not understand what I was asking her for so I was a little […] frustrated with that. We booked the hotel online obviously. Not a bad experience and like the map feature. We just needed a nice, clean hotel for the night before we continued on our trip. Arrived late (12:30 am) and were immediately checked in and issued our room key for a room on the 3rd floor. My 15 YO daughter and I were taking luggage to the room while my husband parked […] the truck. Elevators with two people and a luggage cart is a very tight fit. Elevators are very slow. Room door was slightly ajar when we got there. I very cautiously opened the door and checked that the room was not occupied. There wasn't anyone in the room but it was very evident the room had not been cleaned. Dirty towels on the floor and unmade beds. I called the front desk from the room phone. He sounded surprised and said the room was marked as cleaned on his papers. (Like I would lie about this!) The front desk clerk quickly recovered and said he would provide a different room. Had to wait for hubby to show up before going back to the front desk for the key. The new room was also on the 3rd floor ... that was good. Room was very warm when we entered but appeared to be neat and tidy. For what we needed ... a room for the night with a little breakfast in the morning ... it was OK. I think I could have done better on location and price if I had spent a little more time researching and mapping ... which I will definately do next year when we take off on vacation again! Mehr

Holel is in need of renavation.Lamps did not work elevator broke down and room smelled like smoke in non smoking.

This hotel was very clean and in a great location next to resturants and close to the interstate. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are EXTREMEMLY small. you will open the door and almost hit the toliet. But other than that the room was great and a comfortable bed and nice air condtion!!!

Clarion Inn & Suites in Chattanooga Was the worst night I have ever spent in a hotel. I had booked a" non smoking" room. The room they gave us had "non smoking" on the door but you could smell the smoke in the hall before I opened the door. It was terrible. I ask for another room but they said they didn't have another room. I ask for some spray and […] they didn't have any air freshener or lysol.The bed was terrible and the room was dirty & dingy. I didn't sleep at all . I complained at the front desk the next morning also. The just said "Sorry" . I would not ever\ stay at the Clarion Inn & Suites Chattagnooga. Mehr

Disappointed that the hotel rooms lack detailed cleanliness.

Good overall condition. But the microwave and refrig. did not work properly. The beds were comfrey and service at desk was good. Breakfast weak. Not a lot of choices!

The staff was very friendly but the room was below par. Certain buttons on the telephone would not work, the curtains were dirty and the pillow were uncomfortable.

The Clarion Hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel was ok, however it has a book that has a menu and says room service is available, and when we called to order it, the front desk was not nice and said "I am the only staff in the hotel, how would we have room service" Then they have a card for take out taxi-so we call that one and the number's disconnected. I had very tired kids that just […] wanted to chill and rest from the day, and we ended up having to go out for dinner, which is fine, but they need to remove the room service menu and the disconnected take out taxi card so people know. The continental breakfast was literally cereal, milk, juice, bread, toaster, and a few pastries. The check out person was MUCH friendlier then the check IN person! Mehr

The stay was awful! They claim to have a continental breakfast but when I asked about it they said they didn't have any food to put out. The owner/ manager was at another property and forgot to buy any food! They had a vending machine but no change because once again, the owner/manager didn't leave any. The bed squeaked everytime you rolled over. There […] was mold in the room. The air conditioning kept running never turned off no matter what you did. Worst stay I have ever experienced and I travel alot!!!! Mehr

This hotel is fine if you are looking for a place to lay your head for the night. The hotel is need of serious renovations. My room smelled like the remains of a New Years Eve Party...

Hotel was as advertised- ok, could use some updating and cleaning

Wish we would have had a free continetal breakfast like most hotels.

The hotel was clean and satisfactory. The restaurant needs some improvement.

The hotel was older and really needed some updating and deep cleaning. I noticed lots of dirt in baseboards and on airconditioning unit. The first night the elevator broke down and we had to take steps. While walking up, I saw cobwebs throughout the stairwell and caked on dirt on the stairs. I was so taken with the excellent staff and the accomodating […] represenatives at the front desk, I did not complain. But the cleanliness of the building would be the only reason I would not stay at that clarion again. Mehr

SMELLY ,MOLDY NOT CLEAN ! NEAVER AGAIN ! LEFT AND WENT TO THE COUNTRY INN / SUITE VERY NICE ,GOOD NIGHT SLEEP

This hotel is extremely over-priced. Although the location was great, the rooms were dirty (dust in corners, stained bathtub, and uncomfortable beds with worn out sheets). I did not want to take my shoes off while walking in the room.

This hotel was definitely not a three star hotel - I'm not sure where the star rating came from. The hotel is a little older, a little worn around the edges, but it's in a great location, and the bed (mine anyway) was nice and firm, which is how I like it. Sound-proofing between rooms seemed to be good also, which is also important for a good night's […] rest. The things I was a little less pleased with were the slightly smelly elevator (smelled like something had urinated in it), and weak water pressure in the shower. I don't mind a smallish, simple room with a tiny bathroom and a slow elevator - those things aren't important to me, the things pros and cons outlined above were more so. So all in all, make sure you get a good discount on this hotel, as it's not really worth retail price, and it's not really a three-star hotel. Two starts would be more appropriate. Mehr

Hotel was clean,however the bathrooms are extra, extra small, we were there for 2 nights and the noise level was minimum, there is no ice on the floors, you must go to the front desk.
