Holiday Inn San Antonio - Dwtn - Market Sq - San Antonio

We always stay at this hotel. We love that we can walk to where we want to go. The.hotel is always clean and the staff is great!

All was good but the hotel had a situation with the power..Entire hotel's electric went out for some time which was an inconvience but other than that everything else was good.

The hotel was a perfect location and for the price was a great pick! Would stay there again!

i made reservations for the hottel in san antonio downtown said we didnt reserve their and sent us to an other location the service and location was the worst ever

The room was one of the cleanest room I have stayed in, esp the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable & I love that one was labeled "soft" & the other labeled "firm". The pool area was nice & large. I would be willing to stay at this hotel again.

Perfect place to stay when visiting San Antonio. The staff was EXTREMELY busy, but took time to acknowledge those waiting and handled it like pros. We encountered a problem with our first room and they immediately gave us another one without giving us the run around. Other than that the rooms were nice and our stay was enjoyable.There is a hotel shuttle […] that will take you downtown or you can take the city trolley for a$1.10 each way. You get to explore the sites without worrying about traffic or paying for parking. We plan to stay here again on our next visit. Mehr

In overall, I liked this hotel, the only inconvenience was that our AC did not work the first night..I called the front desk to report it and they said they were to send maintenance up but they never did until I went and I spoke with the manager. They fixed it right away

The staff at this hotel were very helpful, nice, and attentive to guests needs. Everyone was happy and made the guests feel comfortable. KUDOS to the staff!!!!

Nice rooms, excellent location, with a friendly front desk staff.

The hotel was nice, the rooms were too! The front desk wasn't really that outgoing but I checked in within literally 3 minutes, they were super quick! I went for spring break and we all had a blast! The hotel is in a good spot within walking distance especially if its nice outside! We enjoyed it, for the price its perfect!

The hotel was nice. It was conveniently located to all the freeways and the market area downtown. Not far from the riverwalk or any of the downtown attractions (Tower of the Americas). The only problem and it was not due to the hotel was it was Spring Break and some parents don't control their children and let them run down the halls screaming at the […] top of their lungs along with slamming the doors constantly but other than that we had a great stay. Decent hotel room. The huge plus is that it's walking distance to downtown San Antonio (Riverwalk is about a 5 or 6 block distance). The area is safe since there is a police station a few blocks from the hotel. The only negative is that you could hear everything that's happening in the hallways from our room. room is quite small...but all I cared was that it is closed to the convention center. rooms don't have mini fridges nor microwave....the breakfast that they offer is just buffet...nothing from menu.

The room was pretty small, beds and pillows were so uncomfortable. So we had a hard time sleeping and when we did finally fall asleep the a/c was so loud it would wake us up. We stayed the weekend and the housekeeper didn't even clean our room. I wouldn't stay here again!!

Unfortunate room assignment, bad water, a walk to trolly/bus. Bad, metalic tasting drinking water in room sink, even tea/coffee from tiny in-room appliance tasted bad. After 2 days of buying our own bottled water asked at desk if they don't give out free bottles of water. Staff asked if I was signed up with the Holiday Inn guest rewards member program […] - that program is free when you sign up and then you get free cold bottles of drinking water !! Honestly??? Quality drinking water doesn't just come free with your room ??? The water in lobby drinking fountain tasted fine, maybe I should have hauled it in to room from there. I refused to sign up for membership and staff reluctantly handed over 4 bottles of water anyway. Also our non-smoking ground floor room was next to a major exit door to parking lot, we had a large sliding glass door that opened to parking lot and freeway view but were never able to open it because guests were often standing outside smoking just feet away from our 'patio' door. Or guests would leave smoldering butts in the large garbage can with ash-tray top placed just feet from our 'patio'. This smoke smell was at times strong enough to drift into our room even with the glass door closed. And the adjacent exit door slamming was noisy at all hours. Nice outdoor pool and hot tub in a 4 story courtyard surrounded by rooms with balconies - wonder why we weren't assinged one of those rooms. Also the shower dripped for 4 days and the toilet pedestal was unsteady - a little like a rocking chair, and two of us felt itchy after a soak in hot tub, needed to shower off. Lastly, after several days of hiking over to city attractions we saw the hotel shuttle bus outside lobby and asked driver if he only goes to airport or can also drop us downtown, he was friendly and stated yes he will take us downtown. On check in we were told to catch local trolly about a block away and as we got on shuttle we saw about 5 other couples walking to trolly/bus stop and boarding Mehr

Overall, I was happy with our stay here. For the price, the room was a good size. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The only disappointments were the size and condition of the pullout bed (twin sized and it was slanted downward), parking (under normal circumstances, this probably wouldn't be an issue, […] but there was a 4H show in town, so there were a lot of trucks and trailers taking up multiple spaces), and lack of power outlets around the bed itself. The Hotel was near enough to the convention center with a city transportation right across the street. The room was nice,clean, and quiet. The hotel was on the "Yellow" route which went by the convention center, Market place,and back to the hotel. It was all we needed.

Staff was great. Hotel was what i expected. Only problems were the rooms could have been cleaner and the wireless Internet did not work at all in my room. I had to go to the lobby to work.

No hot water in room first morning. Paid for breakfast thru Hotels.com and had to paid addtional money at breakfast.

We called and asked for extra pillows upon arrival. When we returned at 1:45 am they still weren't there. When we called again all I was told was sorry we don't have any more. The carpet hadn't been swept found stuff all over it. The only bright spot was Tammie when we checked in very polite and informative.

This hotel was very nice. No disappointments. Quick check-in, easy to find room, close enough to parking lot, room was quiet, tourist information provided at desk was helpful and reliable. The rate was very good, and a good expenditure. It was near enough to the River Walk spots, within walking distance.

Our stay was very pleasant. I would stay here again.

Front personnel were awesome!! They were very nice and friendly. Only issue we had was with the wireless connection. We could not get a signal in our room. Front desk connected us to provider support but they still couldn't help. We had to go to the lobby to get a signal. Other than that, it was a pleasant stay.

We think this hotel was good for a first time visit to the area. The front desk staff (Tammie) was very nice and informative.

It seems that when I reserve hotel thru hotels.com, I never get what I reserved. I wonder if the hotel slights me for going thru hotels.com. This hotel did not have microwave, fridge. It had coffee maker but it only made a cup at a time. Coffee basket and coffee were plastic disposable one cup/one time use. Not near enough coffee for coffee drinkers. […] I always take my own coffee but I could not use it because of the little plastic disposable coffee pack. Mehr

Me and my sister were doing a trip around Texas and our first stop was austin. The stay there at a cheap little red roof inn had us naming it "ghetto inn" after the horrible stay. Deciding to not repeat history, we booked at this holday inn. Aside from a lack of fridge we both simply loved it. The room was clean, the bed's comphy, the wifi fast, a balcony […] for me to smoke off of, the bathroom clean and well furnished, and the staff courteous and friendly, even the cleaning lady's who were sweet and welcoming! Being close to downtown San Antonio made it easy and convenient to see and enjoy san antonio, and the location was only 25 minutes from sea world which we also went to! All in all, was a excellent stay with a comfortable, clean, well furnished room with a friendly hotel staff, good wifi service, and excellent location! Mehr

We where very pleased with our Stay at the Holiday Inn. The Staff whas very friendly and polite. The only downside is there is no complementary Breakfast . Other then that we had a very pleasant stay . I will stay there again .

Hotel should add cable that include Spanish channel like Univision . Thanks!!

had to stay here for work but was very nice for the price and very close to downtown attractions, staff was super friendly!!

We were very disappointed when we discovered that there was no bible in our room (placed by the Gideons). Thinking that it was an oversight, we inquired at the front desk, only to be told that management had all the bibles removed. Hopefully this policy does not apply to all Holiday Inns. If so we will not stay at them in the future.

The service was great, the beds where small, compared to other holiday inn hotels. Overal great service.

The hotel wasn't too bad. It was clean and was close to downtown. The only downfall was that we were on the first level and had a sliding door that opened to the parking lot, which didn't make me feel too safe. Other than that, I couldn't complain.

I have recently stayed in this hotel with my family of 4. This hotel is very nice and clean. Good location. Little far from river walk, 5 minutes if you go by car. Hotel has shuttle services to drop and pickup from River walk. Lots of restaurant around. Only inconvenience is to get to the elevator, it is far from where we parked (behind the hotel). […] There is always long walk from car to elevator. But it is worth of money to stay there. Mehr

Although I possessed my doubts because the place was cheaper than some of the other hotels, I arrived to find a wonderful staff. The lady at the front desk received us with a lovely hello, acquired my information, and asked what brought us to SA. We were able to acquire a map of the riverwalk/downtown area from the front desk. We were able to pull to […] the side of the building and take the elevator upstairs without any hassle. When we entered the room, I was impressed. We had a large king size bed, a clean bathroom, a desk with a chair, and a television. Everything was neatly placed. The service lady came about thirty minutes later and brought more towels, which we did not ask for at the time of entering the hotel. We checked in around 3, which is the earliest check in time. We were able to park the car below our window so we could keep an eye on it, but it really was not needed. I never saw anyone lingering about the hotel. We walked to the riverwalk the first night, but there was a trolly to take to downtown. The trolly as of our visit was only $1.10 per person. You can buy an all day pass. The trolly service is the yellow bus route -- remember W. Durango and Santa Rosa. As for the pool, it was large. There were some ants the first day, but this was resolved by the second day. The jaccuzi provided a very relaxing atmosphere. It was especially convenient considering my husband has a bad foot. There are beverage machines in the hotel, ice machine, and a snack machine. There is no complimentary breakfast, but there is a McDonalds about .4 mile away to get breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant, but we did not try it on our stay. The bed was clean and made neatly every day. The staff provided towels without needing to ask for more, but it was only my husband and I. The shower was warm, but we avoided peak hours. The toilets were clean, too. There was a balcony off the side of our room, which looked on to an older building and off to parts of San Antonio. The view was Mehr
