Stayed at the Quality Inn near Ft. Sam b/c the price was right and the location was perfect. The clerk was curtious and helpful. However, once entering the room all changed. The room smell was damp and musty smelling. The furniture looked dirty and unsanitary. I took a sheet from the bed and draped it over the furniture which had obvious stains on […] them. While the bed looked comfortable, the overall feel of the room was unclean so I did not want to sleep. The front door was very difficult to lock b/c the door did not align well wtih the frame. It took quite a bit of repositoning to find the right alignment to lock the door. The shades on the window were very dirty. One could see the grime on the mini blinds. The bathroom was not very clean with obvious mold b/w the tiles. A bath was out of the question... I am not sqeamish at all. And after nearly 30 years of travel this was by far the worst room for the price I paid. Did not sleep a wink and was glad to leave. Unless something dramtic happened to improve the Hotel I will not be visiting Quality Inn in SA again. Mehr

It's a dump.Did not expect much for the money I paid but a decent TV picture and chair were in my expectations. Neither was the case. Who awarded the three stars? What can I say? It's an old facility. Tear it down already!

Stayed @ the Q.I. during a biz trip to SA. An older hotel, it's had some updating and renovation in the past years which brought the rooms up to the level of the competition. My room was comfortable and clean and the accomodations were satisatisfactory overall. A couple of issues: be sure you've done a good map search to verify directions to the place. […] It sits on the northbound frontage road of I-35, but it's not the easiest to access due to the nearby interchange with I-410. If you're a light sleeper, request a room in the middle of the building; my room facing the back and I was constantly treated to the sound of passing freight trains. Towards the front of the hotel, you get the drone of the I-35 traffic. Finally, immedate the neighborhood has no amenities or adjacent businesses within walking distance; it's an industrial area with a hotel strip plopped in the middle of a ribbon of asphalt. Mehr

Staff was very nice -buffet breakfast (included) was scant but tasty-Scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage, waffles & bicuits & gravy. Sheets and towels were plentiful and quite nice. Carpet wasn't the cleanest but staff kept everything else nice. Loved the pool area and there is a lounge in the hotel. There is a train nearby but didn't bother at all. […] Many rooms and staff left plety of space between occupied rooms! Mehr

This hotel was the money spent. It was quiet, and the staff was very helpful in optaining a special room.

The bathroom shower curtain had mold in the corners of bathroom had mold. The carpet had stain spots. Was not happy with room.

Had a pool, had a nice clean room. Only complaint I could really find was A/C wasn't as cold as I prefer. I understand I was in San Antonio, but I never even turned it off at night, and I never turned back the sheets.

The hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. Checking in and out was a breeze. I was unable to connect with their WiFi. To be honest I do not have best laptop. You have to drive a bit to get to any restaurants or fast food places.

The suite was good but there were several emenities that could have been better..The breakfast bar or restaurant for breakfast was not even open because of no customers or not enough...I would have to think twice before going there again...

This hotel is close to major attractions, but its closer to the industrial lower income side of time. Getting to a convenience store also isnt convenient either. When we got to the room it was sweltering hot!

Staff was nice, but not professional..the rooms were horrible. The bathtub was dirty, the carpet was stained, the curtains were filthy, and to top it off the room smelled like mildew. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

So I check in for the night thinking I will get a chance to relax before I continue my drive the next morning. At checkin everything was perfect. Then I get the key and walk into the hotel room, the carpet was extremely dirty, one corner had a spill and it was covered up by putting a chair over it. That night I literally did not sleep because I had […] to kill crickets that were hoping around the room and chirping all night long. The train even went by in the middle of the night honking it's horn. It was a extremely unplesant experience. I will never stop here again. Mehr

Bad... It took the front desk forever to check me in, b/c the girl would not stop answering the phone. I went to the front desk my second day, to get directions, and the lady NEVER even said a word to me. I stood there for 2 minutes, and didn't even get a "hold on," "be right with you," nothing. So I went to the hotel next door to get directions. Otherwise, […] the hotel was great. Mehr

It was very clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our stay was better that I expected for a "two star" hotel. We will stay again. Could use some improvements on equipement; ex: curtains, tv/controls, softer bed. Near a railroad, but only heard train once, in early evening. Overall; good and clean for your money.

I reserved two rooms and one was not ready so they did upgrade the room. Front desk was not what you would expect, but other than that the room was fine.

great hotel for the price, conviniantly located if you don't mind some construction in the area. very clean and comfortable rooms

The first room they gave me was very dirty and was not ready, the second one they gave me was already occupied, then they had to walk into 3 other rooms before finding a room that was ready. I would not like if someone walked into my room that was showing unoccupied when I was staying there. The key card went out 5 times in 2 days and each time I had […] to walk back to the office, which would not be so bad if I did not have a child and alot of stuff to carry around. Breakfast bar was not very clean and not many selections. Milk was not cold-lukewarm-not what I expected. Paid quite a bit of money for something that was not worth it. I will not be staying here in the future and will advise my friends and family visiting the area not to stay there either. Mehr
