The hotel staff was very friendly, very clean and the grounds were beautiful.We were close to the main street where all the restaurants were open and the farmers market was.

I was pleasantly surprised . . . . the location was awesome, we did not get back into our car until it was time to go home!! The pool area was great, our room was so close to the pool and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay here again!!

The Good Clean as it can be for an outdated hotel, The bed was firm to our liking and the location was close to all the shops and restaurants. The Bad The room and the setting of the building is Motel like. The pool is in the center of the building where all the rooms surround it. Therefore there are kids screaming and playing in the pool at all hours […] up until 10pm. The room had no décor and lacking of any wall art, old out dated furniture. No thermostat in the room. Soap dispensers in bathrooms. Motion sensors in the bathroom cut out at 5 minutes. I almost slipped in the shower as the lights turned out as I was still showering. So take quick showers! Bath drain was not installed correctly so we got a flooded tub. The walls are very thin so you can hear neighbors opening and closing their doors as well as their TV, etc. We were woken up at various hours at the night because of it. The wireless internet drops the connection to your device often. You need to delete your wireless network and reconnect almost every hour to get service. Be prepared to pay an additional “Resort” fee. $15 a night extra so that you can enjoy the amenities of a Motel 6… The Hotel staff was nice but they won’t go anywhere above and beyond to accommodate you. Everything about this hotel was cheap and unless you don’t care about the room and would just rather spend your time at the pool and away from the hotel or sleep at night with disturbance, this would be the hotel for you. My girlfriend and I needed a local 2-day getaway and this hit the spot! The hotel was great! The hotel butted up against a picturesque mountain backdrop which made us feel like we were far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Thing is, we walk out of our room, down the stairs and we're right in downtown with the convenience of shopping, bars […] and restaurants. It was fantastic! We're definitely staying at PM again. This hotel is in a GREAT location, literally you walk around the corner and you're amongst the restaurants and shops of downtown palm springs. But the hotel itself really needs a major overhaul- seems to not have been removated for decades. Our bed was super uncomfortable and the room was mediocre.

This place seemed like a good deal, but turned out to be about the same price as other hotels once you factor in the extra fees. I have never had a hotel booked through hotels.com charge me an extra resort fee upon check in until now. We had to pay an extra $30 resort fee and put down a $50 deposit. For that price I would have chosen a nicer hotel. […] The rooms are clean, but stuffy and dimly lit, with only a small window in the front. We had to keep our front door open in order to light and ventilate the room. I was surprised by the lack of amenities in this place. There is no bar or restaurant by the pool and the shampoo/shower gel comes out of a dispenser in the shower. My dispenser was mislabeled and I spent a few minutes trying to lather shower gel into my hair before trying the other. I called the front desk to let them know, but they didn't seem to care. Overrall, I thought the grounds and pool were nice but the rest of it was not that special. A little disappointed for the money I spent. Mehr

I stayed here one night for business. It is right behind the main street. It's an older hotel. There were lots of families in the pool. It is not a hip trendy place to stay in Palm Springs. The furnishings are older but clean. There was a kitchenette.

The hotel location is great, it's right next to all of the shops and restaurants and the staff is very friendly. However, for $200 a night I expect there to not be cockroaches in the bathroom and to not be woken up at 7:45 by kids yelling and running back and forth down the hallways upstairs. I called the front desk about the cockroach and they sent […] somebody with roach spray so the bathroom smelled really strongly of raid all night, even with the fan on. It's a decent hotel but I don't think I'd stay there again. Mehr

We recently stayed for a weekend getaway and was very pleased with the accomodations and how close it is to everything. Everything is in walking distance. Our room was amazing and we had such a large balcony! We will definately be back!! We can't wait!

We have stayed here before and like the rooms, the peacefulness, and the fact that it is one block away from Palm Canyon drive, PS downtown. We went on Thursday for a Valentines Day overnight trip, and enjoyed the weekly street fair in the evening as well. Good restaurants in surrounding areas, nice atmosphere, and hotel staff is great.

Palm Mountain Resort is very reasonably priced and ideally located just a block from downtown Palm Springs shops and restaurants. The neighborhood is quiet and grounds are very attractive. It's ideally located for a visit to PS. The rooms themselves are pretty standard, very large and a bit tired, but not undesirable at all. Our first room had an odd odour and when I went to the desk and asked if we could change rooms the staff was very accomodating and the next room was fine. Older building that could use some paint in spots but a nice pool and large hot tub and the location was excellent with lots of shops and restraunts in a two block area. The room we got (ground floor in the 140s room range) was nice. The bathroom was very clean, the stream on the showerhead is powerful, tub drains well, sink is tidy, towels are thick (not the cheap, thin ones). The room came with a microwave, coffeemaker, fridge, hair dryer, lamps, nighstand, clock, table, chairs, iron and ironing board in the closet, […] beds, dresser and a flatscreen tv with remote on Time Warner Cable (I didn't check safe). I was disappointed at the common walls and floors though. They were thin. People with heavy feet upstairs can be heard. You can also hear kids playing (and screaming) outside. The resort has a pool and a hot tub (which we didn't get to use, but they were nice). It doesn't come with a gym but you get a free one-hour pass at the gym one block away. On-site, uncovered parking was nice (around the perimeter of the resort). The spa next door is for guests for a fee. Lots of spa treatments available according to the menu. Mehr

After booking this hotel I started to read the reviews and became a bit concerned but all that disappeared when we got to our room. This is an older property but it is not run down and the room we stayed in was very clean, comfortable and updated. Our room faced the wonderful pool and the grounds were beautiful with all of the mature palms, pines, grapefruit […] trees and other landscaping. The bougainvilleas were still in bloom in late December. The location was the best ever and was only one block away from the Palm Springs Museum which we thoroughly enjoyed, one block away from Palm Canyon Drive and all of the restaurants and shopping. Our only regret is that we only booked two nights here. I'm so glad that we had a good experience and not the kind of experiences that I had read about as posted by the few previous reviewers. Mehr

Our room was always clean. There were a lot of grounds maintenance people taking care of the lawn and bushes. The building was very nice and a great place for our family to enjoy a birthday celebration.

The check-in staff and everyone at the hotel were very cordial and helpful! We were able to gain access to our rooms on time and the two rooms ordered were next to each other. Upon our request, the front desk clerk provided written directions & a map to a local donut shop and market which was super helpful. The hotel is centrally located to the many […] downtown Palm Springs restaurants, shops & coffee houses. You did not need to use your car since everything is so close. You can actually see the 26 foot statue of Marilyn Monroe from the hotel! The pool area is outstanding! The grounds were very clean and very inviting including the spa. Unfortunately we left some valuable items behind in the hotel room. Housekeeping was called the next morning & had already found them and held them for us. Very trustworthy staff which is very commendable!! We will definitely return to relax in the pool area and visit the local shops & restaurants. The only downside is that the double beds are really small & a tight fit for two adults. On the plus side, the rooms had coffee pots, microwaves and some even had safes. The rooms even had a ceiling fan and wood shutters on the windows.. Wow! Mehr

Very nice hotel, the only thing i did not like was the "resort fee". Really? A resort fee? they should drop the fee and add it to the room cost. Even with the fee, it was still a good deal, but the fee rubs me the wrong way, it's a hidden cost when comparing hotel prices.

Stayed for 1 week in November. Location couldn't be better. Pool area is fantastic. Free WiFi. Very spacious rooms, comfy beds. Great starting point for any activity in the Palm Springs area. Would definitely stay here again. Wish there was no resort fee, otherwise perfect.

For the price of the hotel I would have expected it to be a little bit nicer. The air conditioner was extremely loud and made it difficult to sleep and it sounded like there was running water the entire night. Good location but overall was really tired in the morning do too bad night of sleep
