In all this was a very well kept hotel. Room was clean with adequate linens, It said refirg in room , NOT. They had no queen or king non-smoking rooms. Very pet friendly! Lots of Doggie potty places. The pool was very nice , gym small with three pieces of equipement. My biggest disappointment was the resturant /bar and the staff . Resturant was supposedly […] open until 9p. We arrived after 7p very hungry . We were happy, after traveling all day, that here was a bar/ resturant right there! After unloading and freshing up I went to the resturant to grab a "quick take out" of salad or sandwhich. It was 8:25p. I was told "sorry kitchen is closed" . I asked if I could just get a salad ,"NO" closed. Next morning there was a free hot breakfast that was fairly good . The staff spent the enitre time eatting at the bar and ignoring you once your food was on the table. I tried for 20 minutes to find our server to get a glass of water . The Hotel was Clean, and the Customer Service was great. The complementary breakfast was fantastic. The food was good and tasty; the meal was hot when it was served. The servers were very polite and courteous.

The hotel and rooms were clean. Cement over all outside areas would help. We had to have our room keys re-activated five times in a two-day stay, but staff did not seem to think that was a customer service issue. Although pleasant, the clerks had issues with a simple dog fee and took a long time to complete any transaction. In the supposed fitness room, […] there were four machines and a TV -- none of them worked. Many guests were repeat customers, staying there on their way to Florida. I must have missed the good parts of a stay which keep other guests coming back. I will not return to that particulary Quality Inn. Mehr

My review is this, the hotel looked good on the outside, but our room was shabby. Beat up furniture,didn't seem very clean. The door did not fit in the opening tight, and cold air poured in. We will never stay there again.

This is a must stay hotel if you plan on being anywhere near Charlston, SC. Easy access to and off I95, beautiful town, and great food. All the convenient stores are right in the neighborhood including pharmacy, and restaurants. Experience great barbeque at maurice's and Lone Star - if there on Sunday stop at Lone Star's Sunday buffet! Clarke's historic […] Inn was beautiful although the food was a bit pricey. We stayed in the Hospitality Suite and it was by far the best hotel stay on my entire week road trip. Hotels.com considered it a 2 star but it feels like more than mid-pack accommodations. One room has two double beds with bath and coffee/microwave/mini-fridge, the adjoining room had a nice sitting area with sofa bed, bath, and coffee/microwave/mini-fridge. TVs in both rooms with cable were included. Hot breakfast was excellent and included eggs, bacon, and delicious biscuits. Lobby next to hotel restaurant had a warm fireplace greeting you. Outdoor hot tub was very nice and they have an outdoor pool too. The staff was very nice but got quickly frustrated if you called them repeatedly on the same issues. Their laundry room is a joke! The door to the laundry room would not work witht the room key like I was told. Front desk sent maintenance to open it. It has one washer and dryer and the washer would only fill up about a quarter before agitating. My clother were then wet and dirty so I called again. Front desk attendant cut me off and sent maintenece again. They never showed. I had to dig in my tool bag, and use pliers to disconnect the supply line and fill it up myself. All said and done, I can't wait to go back. I will plan a trip in the spring and stay there for longer. We loved it all. Mehr
