Sehr nettes Personal.Wunderbares Fruehstueck. Schöne Antmosphäre. Meinem Dackel hat es sehr gefallen. Saubere Zimmer. Der Portier war sofort bereit mir den nächstgelegenen Supermarkt zu zeigen.3 Autofahrminuten entfernt-

Als Tourist und Städtereisender kann ich dieses Hotel nur bedingt weiter empfehlen. Die Zimmer sind zwar leicht veraltert aber durchaus sauber, auch im Nassbereich. Personal ist nett. Zimmerservice ist auch in Ordnung. InnenPool und Fitnessraum standen mir, wegen Umbauarbeiten nicht zu Verfügung(Keine Bewertung). Die Begründung liegt nicht im Komfort […] oder Zustand des Hotels bzw. Personals sonder die Lage und die Art! Bei der Anreise über Pearson International Airport sich die Transportkosten für Streetlimo oder Taxi auf leider nicht einheitlich. Kommt ganz auf den Fahrer an und zudem auch teuer!! Zudem muss man bei jeder Fahrt Richtung Downtown und Dundas entweder zusätzliche Kosten oder 55 Minuten mit den Öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel in Kauf nehmen, gleiches gilt für den Rückweg. (Wobei ein Wochenticket 36 Can$ kostet und U-, Strassenbahn bzw. Citybusse fast rund um die Uhr genutzt werden können.)|Stand Sept. 2011| Der letzte Punkt betrifft eher die Art. Im Don Valley werden viele Veranstaltungen, Kongresse, Meetings, Kurse udgl. abgehalten. Das heißt Busse und Limos bringen fast täglich nur Tagesbesucher für die etwaige Veranstaltung. Hierdurch entsteht nur bedingt ein Urlaubsfeeling, welches sich aber auf das Wohnklima (Aufenthalt im Zimmer) nicht auswirkt. We had a basic room that served out needs but we didn't have time to check out the hotel or the surroundings.

Too bad it is the only hotel in the area. It could use some competition.

My guests and us (my wife and I ) are very disappointed with the hotel. On arrival, there is no one to assist you at the door. When checking in, we told the receptionist we had requested a king size bed for us and 2 queen beds for our guests, but it is obvious she did not try to meet our requests and simply throw us into the 2 rooms with 2 double beds. […] Further, the hotel must have customer service in the lowest priority. We had to lug our luggages up over at least 5 steps where anyone would have expected a ramp where the guests could roll their luggages instead. The air condition unit along the wall makes such a loud irritating sound like you are sleeping in a basement with a hugh gyrating fan blowing at high speed! The rooms look tired like it was never been updated. They are dark and depressing. The toilets are so old and feels depressing. We feel the hotel is not even up to the low standard of a motel and we promise ourselves never ever to go there again. Food services were ok but not e xt naive...some parking poblem

Our stay was OK. I was travelling with my 93 yr old mother in law who is disabled. First problem...no elevator from the lower floor to the lobby (we had parcked at the side of the hotel. Once I registered I had to go back downstairs and my mother in law and I got into our car to park in the disabled spot at the front of the hotel. Second problem: disabled […] parking was at one side of the hotel and the ramp to the elevator was across the parking lot...lots of walking for a person with a walker. Problem three: keven though I had requested a first floor room we were given a second floor room. Our room was way down the hall...nearly to the end of the hall...another very long walk for a disabled person. In all ways your hotel is not very friendly for disabled persons. YOur staff was helpful with the small elevators (despite the long walk to them). Problem four: brunch was cold...we had scrambled eggs etc. We only stayed here because of the proximity to family. Mt wife and I stayed at this hotel on a previous stay and enjoyed the room we were given this past stay 2 weeks after the first was really bad, the first thing was I had to pay 10% more than the first trip, recieved a much lesser room old stlyle tube tv., room had smokers so had to get room changed then the room they palced me in one wing was getting […] repairs and all you could smell all night was carpet glue. Toronto Don Valley is one of my favorite hotels. It's independent, not tied to Holiday Inn, Hilton, or any of the national chains, and it seems better off for it. The staff is courteous and professional. There are some major renovations going on but they're doing it in an unobtrusive way, the most noticeable thing being the closed gift shop. There are two pools, one is seasonal and closed at the time of our visit and the other is indoor, under a glass dome, which is a very nice touch. The fitness facilities are more than adequate and there is a spa as well. From my observation of the completed renovations, it will be a very nice place to stay once everything is done -- even more so than it already is. It is a little tricky to get to if you're unfamiliar with the area, but if you treat the Eglinton/Wynford intersection as a freeway interchange, it'll make it much more sense. Mehr

the hotel was under renovations, the rooms were extremely old, the tv was a 27" old tv , the bed was the same. this hotel was also under renovations the elevators were awful. I will never book this hotel again!

We had a lovely stay. The only disappointment was the added cost of parking per day. The pool area was lovely. The water was warm for our 2 year old grand-daughter. The restaurant was very costly. And the TV didn't work but they fixed it whenever we called quickly. The address is very confusing. It is not on Eglington at all. It is located on Wynford […] Drive. I stay because it's close to where my family lives. This last stay, I was surprised by the increase in cost of the breakfast.. It wasn't posted anywhere and had I known, I probably would not have eaten there. There was a sign that there were going to be remodeling rooms. I do hope that they do over the exercise room. Second time at this hotel. Rooms are spacious and in good condition. Good value for price paid. You need a car if you stay there as there isn't much to be done by walk or public transit around there.

We arrived at the hotel after a long 8 hour drive...we removed all of our luggage from the car my friend placed our luggage on the luggage cart and wheeled while I checked in... when he came to meet me at the front desk...that's when we were told to go back outside to carry our lugge through the back entrance because the ramp was in the back of the […] hotel (strick 1)...when we finally arrived in our hotel room the heating system was out dated and there were no refridgerators in the room I couldnt believe it we had to put our food outside to keep them cool(strike 2)... and last but not least our toilet was backed up the first night we maintenance came in and supposedly first it and after 2 flushs later was backed up again (strick 3)...we ended up moving into a new room 5 doors down with all the same problems minus the toilet issue. Hotel needs serious renovations! HIghly doubt if we will be staying there again... Mehr

I found the reception area & staff very cold & unfriendly, not welcoming....but the price was good, room was clean & quiet and location suited our purpose.... Horrible restaurant.

We have stayed at this hotel for the past 3 Christmases as it is very close to the Don Valley and one exit away from the family we are visiting, so we can't beat the location. It is getting a bit rundown and warn. We had to move the bed to find a plug and it was clear by the amount of dust and used condom wrapper (ugh!) that no one had cleaned behind […] it in a long time. Rooms were very clean and included everything one would expect when on the road for an extended period Did not hear a sound throughout the 4 nites we stayed. Free internet, ease of indoor self parking (appreciated in the winter months), friendly and efficient staff, easy access off the 401 yet far enough away not to be caught in the traffic, complete […] workout facilities, well maintained/attractive pool and great price make this a no-brainer. Nice place. Kinda old but nice. Would stay again. Did not like the fact that they charge for parking. The hotel is not in downtown Toronto. Thought that was wrong.

This hotel is close to the DVP and once that you have learned to take Eglington to get there you arrive with no problem. The ramp to roll up the suitcases is convenient. Risha ,at the main lobby desk is very friendly and always smiling. There is a restaurant at the end of the main lobby area where we had a Christmas brunch. There is an indoor and outdoor […] pool. A quick stay at this establishment was not enough. Although a little difficult to find, the staff on the phone were more than helpful to point us to the right direction. The hotel was neat, clean, convenient and the staff were very helpful, courteous and professional. There was plenty of parking and being able to eat in the hotel saved us having to look for restaurants. Overall, good accommodation. I expect we'll be staying with you on future trips to Toronto.

Hotel was great , we took bus to subway then down to hockey game . Easy!! And only cost $6 . Hotel .com got the job done for me! Bar in hotel wa great for a nitecap too!! Good wings!!!! Cheers

This place is listed on their web site with the wrong street address and it does not have adequate signs to show the way because it is not easily seen from the main road. The underground parking is very difficult to get to from inside the hotel and did not feel like a safe place to be. The price was excellent for the quality and size of the room. Breakfast […] buffet was good but not cheap but $5.00 each off your breakfast for not having housekeeping clean the room was a great idea. Hotel bar-restaurant was very good. Indoor swimming pool looks very nice but did not try it. There are change rooms but I would take a bath robe and sandals if I went back. Parking is extra but reasonable . Mehr

When we arrived, the hotel staff were pleasant. Our room heater was not working and they responded immediately. This hotel has bus stations right outside leading to subway. We enjoyed the noon checkout time. We did not feel rushed at all. Close to Sunnybrook Hospital. We will use this hotel again.

Nice hotel, very economical. Good location but confusing at first to get to because the address is Eglinton Ave, but the entrance to hotel is off a side street. Would stay there again!

I was looking for a place to sleep for two night and it had to be reasonable price. Hotel itself needs renovation, but it was clean and quite. Would go again if I have to stay in Toronto on my own. Parking had to be paid at place for $12.00 per night.

Dated facility some issues with front line registration staff - unprofessional and not customer service focused. Furniture is older lampshades are discoloured and in need of repair. Wahsrooms could be cleaner. TV's are old and the selection of channels are basic.

The pool, whirl pool and sauna were just wonderful. The temperature of the pool water was absolutely delicious. Our two year old grand-daughter could stay in the water a little longer because of the warm temperature. It was most inviting. Disappointed about the parking costs!! DON'T eat breakfast at this hotel go to tim hortons down the street or don't eat trust me . Nice gym setup downstairs the hotel is in the middle of no where. However there is a KEG restraurant less than 10 minutes away. We had a great stay. Only used it to sleep but so enjoyed the wooded lot out our patio door and the friendly service. Super location too!

Perhaps it was the late hour of my arrival (10 pm) but the desk clerk could barely be bothered to check me in, tell me where my room was or anything else. The hotel is in a sad state of repair. $13 to overnight park in a suburban neighbourhood seems steep. If I hadn't been to this hotel years before I probably couldn't have found it. Hotel did not come out to be cheaper than other hotels once the parking fees were included in overall price. The fact that one has to pay for parking on top of room charge makes this hotel too costly for what you get.
