This Hotel was dirty inside and out. I can not in good consciousness recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. it has mold in the bathroom. the outside was litter with cigerets butts. the carpet was dirty. I seen a little black bug, not enought towles. the air conditioner made a strange loud noise. The state of Kansas need to close the Hotel down.

For the price and location it was great!

The hotel was in decent condition but the bathroom had mold and rust inside of the shower, on some of the fixtures, and on the ceiling tiles. The rooms were also only equipped with 2 sets of towels and the water pressure was weak. The hotel had a pool and sauna but did not have a hot tub. For the price it was a OK place to stay. The sauna was not working . The room needed to be updated, curtains old and shabby looking. It appeared to be a handicapped accessible room which was OK. staff was very nice and helpful. Not good for a romantic or long stay. There was a red stain in the entryway of our room that definitely resembled dried blood. It was quite discomforting. The staff was indifferent of us and we were not greeted when we arrived, nor we're we thanked for our stay when we checked out. We probably won't stay at that particular ramada again.

I have to say this hotel was surprisingly quiet considering the pool in the middle which wasn't packed but still had a good amount of kids. The room was comfortable and clean and the hotel has a good size parking lot. The hot breakfast was scrambled eggs and biscuits and gravy. Make your own waffles were also available so there was a good amount to […] eat. We didn't have a refrigerator when we checked in but put in a request and had one the following morning. Every time we came out of the room we were met by the trees in the pool area making it feel like more of a vacation than a business trip. It was a nice and welcome change. Mehr

the ramada in overland park was a fairly nice hotel. the pool was awesome. we were on the second floor, no elevators and the lighting was horrible. a little dark. the rooms were clean , the pillows were very comfortable but the beds not so much. All in all a pleasant experience but there is always room for improvement.

The hotel was just okay. Our room was nice enough. The wallpaper in the public areas was peeling, and the carpets worn. We noticed a dangerously loose stair railing. The breakfast was just fair...the last two mornings we went to the nearby McDonald's. We called down for more towels, and they arrived promptly. The next request for decaf coffee was never […] delivered. The man at the front desk couldn't tell us where the nearest grocery store was, although we found the HyVee store just 3 blocks away. This hotel is extremely run down. Dark inside and outside the rooms. The tub had mold all around the under lip of the surround, the fixtures had rust all around the edges, the smell of mold was strong, so much so that they'd put one of those packages you attach inside your dryer to provide fabric softener and scent on the air conditioning vent. Our rooms looked clean when we got there, but when we pulled back the covers there were a few hairs on our bed. It made us wonder if the sheets had been washed at all. The paint was coming off the tub so it made it look dirty. The bed was very firm and not the most comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was amazing! We just needed a nice room to crash and liked that we could grab some juice with biscuits & gravy the next morning before catching the Amtrak which is only 12 minutes away. Room was decent as long as we slammed the door hard enough for it to latch. Spacious rooms overlook the indoor pool area. No elevators for dragging large bags upstairs.

Poor customer service at front counter. The cleaning person did not leave any new coffee, etc and had to search forever for the ice machine. There was no sauna or whirlpool as advertised

The evening clerk was rude at check in. Our bed was completely uncomfortable. Not only was the free breakfast horrible but the area you were supposed to eat in was a complete mess. There were no clean tables, trash everywhere and several hotel staff just walked right on by without trying to do anything about it. the bedroom floors looked as if they had not been vacuumed in a long time..the nonsmoking rooms smelled of smoke....the walls so thin can hear conversations and TV in other rooms...the heater didn't work... you can see the outside from the door frame and window frames.... the breakfast was not worthy of stating that they offer continental breakfast...breakfast […] area was dirty... would not recommend and will never stay there again.. This place was okay for an overnight stay. Requested a non-smoking room. Told at the desk about the $150 fine for smoking in a non-smoking room. Clerk gave me a room that smelled like smoke. Had to go back to front desk to get another room. 2nd floor, around midnight, elevator not close to area, luggage = incovenient. Front desk not very helpful or […] friendly that night or the next morning. Breakfast, not much to get excited about. Close to highway and downtown Kansas City. Mehr

The indoor pool was not very warm and we were too cold to swim in it. The continental breakfast was not all that great either. The service was fine and the room was clean overall. Probably would find another hotel to stay at on our next visit to Overland Park, KS.

Bad experience all together feel bad for my family

I picked this hotel solely for the indoor recreation area. That was really the only great thing about this hotel. The doors both outer and room doors have been kicked-in enough times that your key card really isn't necessary. If you want breakfast, well don't plan on it! The angry woman stocking the breakfast bar every morning had an angry retort for […] every request and just couldn't seem to get the timing right so there were biscuits but no gravy; cereal but no milk; eggs but no salt; trash but a completely full trash can... The neighborhood was well... Kind of a hood. There was a large apartment complex across the street as well as a QT (which is where you will have to get your coffee in the morning because the angry breakfast woman can't be bothered to bring more). clean but a little dated- good location for my visit

My husband and I attended the Sprint Center in KC, MO for an event and wanted a decently priced hotel nearby. The Ramada was only about 9 miles from downtown KC which was nice and was very close to a Quiktrip, movie theater (cheap tickets), and a shopping area. The staff seemed a bit tired but overall nice and the hotel could use some touch-ups here […] and there but it was great, especially for the price. They even have an indoor pool (no hot tub like they advertise) and pretty decent continental breakfast with eggs, biscuit and gravy, cereal, donuts, toast, waffles, and some fruit. I really enjoyed the checkout time on Sat. at noon so we could sleep in. I also liked that the hotel was all nonsmoking rooms. They even have a bar and grill inside the hotel, which is open til 2am on the weekend. I would definitely stay here again. Mehr

Overall was happy with the stay, it served its purpose. I stayed ath the hotel while my Dad was in the hospital overnight. The neighborhood and side streets were dark and dimly lit. Breakfast was okay with biscuits/gravy, scrambled eggs, pasteries and cereal.

HOTEL WAS NICE BUT NEEDS AN ELEVATOR FOR THE HANDICAPPED.

The desk people were very curteous and helpful. The room was nice and clean. The bed was not comfortable so we did not sleep real well. The pool was a little too cool so didn't enjoy that. The breakfast was excellant.

I had a single king bed room, and it was very nice. I appreciated the upgraded toiletries (San Francisco brand), and the mattress was excellent. The TV, a good-working 27 inch, is starting to become dated. With a good selection of channels, I would have appreciated watching a flat panel upgrade. Even a cheap $200, 23-inch would make me happy. Furniture […] had a few dings(no problem) and my phone said "Holiday Inn"?? Overall, a nice hotel with a few minor quirks. I would definitely stay again. Mehr

Nice place. But a very loud furnice.

It is in a good location: Target, QT mart is just near by. Price is good. Only drawback is the rooms on the ground floor facing the indoor swimming pool only have patio windows, and you have to cover it with curtains otherwise people are going to see through your room. It makes the room very dark. Free breakfast is OK. It will be better if they serve […] sausage and bacon. Mehr

everything was great, but after the second night i couldn't stand the bed. cheap spring hotel matress, squeaked when you moved, you could feel the springs pushing back at you. very firm and supportive, but not soft at all. no give. it was like sleeping in the middle of a wrestling ring with a down comforter and nice pillows

The hotel was very nice upon entry. It is in need of some updating and repair in the courtyard area and walkways, but it was clean and the rooms were comfortable and clean. People with kids would appreciate the courtyard: comings and goings in and out of surrounding rooms can be seen easily, and there are several things for families to do besides swim. […] The price was great and I would stay again. The Ramada hotel was unkept and unclean. Alot of maintenace is needed. Smelled of smoke even though it is non smoking. Broken doors,worn carpet etc. The pool was not clean and my kids got sick after we left.

Our family of five, kids ages 5, 4, and 2 choose to stay at the Ramada because it had an indoor pool and an indoor badminton court...the price was right too ;) Our stay was 3 Stars until the final morning...we'll get there :) To start, hotel is a kind way of saying an outdoor 70's drive-up motel (think Chevy Chase's vacation) where in the 90's they […] built a roof over the courtyard and carpeted the concrete. Everywhere we walked we were tripping over differing heights of carpeted concrete...it seemed like each door opened and each hallway travelled down had different elevations of concrete. Old people and hard of sight be warned. The staff was nice but not very knowledgeable. The night we checked in we tried to call the front desk and ask for a crib for the baby...but the phone didn't work. No problem...I have legs and I enjoyed the walk to the front desk. I asked the front desk attendant if we could get a crib and get our phone fixed. He told me the 'crib guy' wouldn't be there until 10PM...I said the baby would be sleeping by then. When I asked if he could send someone to fix the phone too, he said the 'phone guy' would be here at 10PM also...apparently the 'crib guy' doubles as the 'phone guy.' At a very punctual 10PM the 'crib/phone guy’ arrived with a crib…thankfully the baby nor the rest of us were sleeping yet…just excited to be in a new place and get unpacked/settled. The man tried to fix the phone, but after 20 minutes of plugging/unplugging he gave up and ask if we wanted to switch rooms. We declined…who needs a phone when you have cell phones anyway. Initial impressions, for the price, we’re at 3 stars. The bed wasn’t as comfy as home, but where is? We played in the pool with the kids where upon closer inspection the bottom was painted blue and the border tiles ARE blue if you wipe off all the grime. Hotel was attractive, comfortable, and clean. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

I recommend this hotel because it's a nice, clean facility for a great price. Some areas are dated but who hangs out at a hotel during the day? Rooms are nice and clean. Has everything you need including breakfast. I would come back. It was close enough to Kansas City, MO and a lot of the vineyards.

Clean, comfortable rooms, tho thermostat was eratic.Nice location for our purposes. Restaurants close. Pool was good sized, nice for kids. Good variety for breakfast but food was not tasty nor hot. It had to be warmed in microwave. Fuses blew, leaving no electricity periodically. Sunday no hot food on buffet at 7:45 am, but later small amounts of scrambled […] eggs and biscuits.gravy were brought out. Several times no one was at the desk when we wanted to report or find out something. Desk staff( Seton) rude from phone call for directions to checking in. Went to our reserved room-someone was still there in restroom. Mike got us another room-someone had been smoking in it and 2 inch cigarette burn on bed cover. Rugs frayed and hotel staff were still cleaning rooms at 8 PM at night. My wife and I chariacterized this as a "soccer hotel" - that is the type of hotel we used to get when my daughter's soccer teams would travel to another city and we we're trying to keep costs down for the parents. It was clean, the continental breakfast was very good and its location was convenient to what we wanted to do (i.e., go to the plaza and […] to Legends/Cabela's). If all you are particular about is a clean and comfortable bed and a clean bathroom, then this place is good. Not very well-lit hallways, mix up with check in rooms, not very clean pool, otherwise, not bad. Breakfast wasnt too bad-waffles, 3 types cereals, coffee, milk, orange juice, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and donnettes.

The room we were in did not have hot water in it. The response we got was "sorry we don't have anybody here to fix it." When asked if we could move into another room the response was "if we have one". The indoor pool was cold-the heater was not working. When asked for more towels--because we went swimming--the response was "why do you need more of them-there […] are some in your room". We had asked for a baby bed-was told no problem-we left for some errands and came back in 5 hours-still no baby bed-when it was brought to us after asking--it was never made. This hotel has great highway access, and is close to a nice shopping district in Mission. Clean, friendly staff, reasonably priced. The parking lot is clean and well-lit, my daughter and I came in late and felt quite safe walking outside.
