There were two adults and three teenagers in our party, but upon arriving we were told that we could not get a roll away bed because the room could not accommodate the bed. I am not sure if they expected three teenagers to sleep on one bed? Fortunately, we traveled with an inflatable mattress otherwise, we have been forced to go another hotel. requested non-smoking room....even reiterated w/front desk clerk...she sent us down a smoke filled hallway on the first floor....room smelled of smoke....cigarette butts all outside the sliding glass door. To pacify us while changing our room,she gave us $10 vouchers to use in restaurant (3). Breakfast was a disaster....no hostess....waitress running […] around like crazy......slow service....requested omelette no cheese......came with cheese.....she had it taken off menu. Went to indoor pool area......looks like it should be condemned...dirty, not well-maintained, jacuzzi undergoing repairs....sauna looked disgusting! Mehr

Overall not a bad hotel for a few nights stay. The bartender was incredibly nice and couldnt stop complimenting my daughter and talking about the area and where to look for a place to live. Downsides were definitely the thin hotel room doors, the walls seemed nice and thick since we didnt hear any neighbors until they were in the hall, then the noise […] sounded amplified into the room. Also, the indoor pool wasn't bad except the temperature was pretty cold but my daughter didnt care just made it freezing for me. Other than that it was okay, I wouldn't stay there again but I have better options and would spend the extra money for a nicer place. Mehr

Looks very nice in pictures, recently renovated. Lobby and common areas well maintained however my door knob and lock were loose. I reported it twice on day of check-in and three days later no word or fix. Furniture in my room scratched and worn, clean enough. I was there on business, location of hotel right across the street from office building. I […] will probably try the Marriott across the street next time I am in town just to compare. Holiday Inn, not my favorite but rate is right. If you are looking for something that is inexpensive and looks clean and new then you might just like it. Bar, cafe and restaurant on site a plus. Had a great night of rest in a clean room. King size bed was very comfy. Second time staying here and would come back.

The hotel and rooms were beautiful

Stayed here after a concert at the VA Beach Ampitheatre because there are apparently ZERO decent hotels near the venue. The hotel has apparently undergone renovations and we were very pleased. Overall, this hotel fits the bill as far as price and condition. The renovation had just been completed earlier this year and it's a great combination of modern decor with a touch of 70's retro. The lobby, bar and lounge area was very nice. It looks like the pictures on the website. However, my room was very small not like any of the pictures posted on there website. The bed was 1 foot off the floor, ironing board about 3 feet long, towels ouside the bathroom in a small closet. I could not hang my dress because it would hit the floor. The only complaint I have is concerning house keeping. As I was leaving me room for a few hours on Saturday, there was a young lady with house keeping cleaning the room across the hall. She spoke and asked if I needed anything. I replied clean towels. When I returned to my room around 3:30 p.m., the towels had been replaced and that was the extent of […] the room cleaning. Everything was great about this hotel, from the lobby/bar lounge area to the rooms. The only hitch was that I indicated late check-out in my online reservation and asked for a late checkout upon check-in and when I called to confirm the next morning they said they had to deny my request because they had too many other request (not really standard hotel […] policy). other than that it was all good. When we first got in the room, I had to use the bathroom. There was hair on the toilet, in the sink, and on the counter top. The bedspread was stained. I will tell you that I won't be returning there again. It was the noisiest hotel that I have ever been to. We didn't get much sleep between the noise and the hard mattress.

We stayed, it was fine. It was recently refurbished so it looked pretty good. I give the refurbish a 9 out of 10.

Prior to our stay, I read the reviews regarding the hotel. Some people had issues with "Bernard," but he was very nice and professional. We loved the hotel, and all the staff were very nice and pleasent. Everyone greeted us with a "hello" or "hi." We did not eat dinner at the hotel, but the breakfast was good. The hotel is not very close to the beach […] of Virginia Beach, but it is only a very short 15 minute drive. We enjoyed the hotel's quiet location, because it was far enough away from the hustle and bustel of the Atlantic Ave strip, but close enough to go back to hotel after a day at the beach, shower/change and then hit the strip for a night cap. The only negative that we had was that the elevators were very slow. The pools were nice, but not stellar. I highly recommend the hotel and I would definately stay there again. Mehr

Nice hotel, usual price. The "complimentry" breakfast that you pay a premium for with the room is actually a $20 voucher toward payment of your check in the restaurant. Rooms that have double queen beds, that are advertised as sleeping for five, can't accommodate a roll away bed so the fifth wheel needs to sleep on the floor - good thing the room was […] clean. Myself, my husband and my three children stayed in this hotel and we were very pleased with our experience overall. The hotel staff were very pleasant, housekeeping was friendly, the food was excellent, very clean rooms and pool and the overall feel was comfortable. The kids and I had a great time in virginia beach, and we really loved staying at this hotel with the two pools. The only thing I would have loved would have been, was to have appreciated the hot tub with some bubbles. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. this hotel is a favorite of my daughter. this is the hotel she ask to stay in each time we visit Virginia beach.. I like the convience the hotel allows to the freeway. the staff is beyond friendly and helpful. recommend this to anyone who wants to enjoy the beach, without staying on the beach

Very satisfied with the hotel. Clean and well maintained. Coffee bar in the lobby was great for a quick breakfast. The gym had plenty of equipment and was well maintained. The hotel was very nice and so were the people that worked there.The beds were so comfortable and the tv was huge!!! My grandson loved the indoor pool and also the outdoor pool.The beach,boardwalk and plenty of places to eat were only 12 miles away,and was easy to get to. I will stay there again the next time I go.

Easy ride to the beach. I expected the hotel room to be more updated. The entry was very nice and open. Staff was very friendly.

Our stay was very brief only one night, but it was a relaxing comfortable experience. The shower in the room was very, very nice with stone tile, the beds were clean and cozy. The bartenders and staff were very friendly and courtious. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Though the recreation area could use some maintenance.

Reception was not welcome at all but not bad. I really love bed and pillow which were very comfortable and make me slept well. If you wouldn't mind about service, i recommend to stay at this hotel.

We had a excellent stay at this hotel. The location was accessable to every where we wanted to go, the staff and manager were very friendly and helpful Thanks .

Good mid-point location if you're looking to do both Busch Gardens and Va Beach on the same trip. Hotel had been renovated and was overall pretty nice. Not much to do in immediate area but about 10-15 minutes away on rte 58 - you find lots of options for food and shopping.

This hotel has a wonderful indoor and outdoor pools, exercise room, hot tub. The beds were comfortable. Cleanliness was excellent. Has large flat screen tv. Microwave and refrigerator.
