My stay at the Marriott Norfolk Chesapeake was very quiet and relaxing. The hotel was very clean and the rooms were very nice and clean. I will stay there again; when Im in the area.

Not much service evident in this place. It was clean except that the pillows smelled of stale sweat. Nice building, location was good for our conference. Plenty of parking. No restaurants in the vicinity. The one in the hotel was very slow. There was no coffee in the room, no welcoming coffee or tea in the lobby. No shower cap in the bathroom. No fan […] to block out night sounds. Maybe it's run by robots. Mehr

Even though the location of the hotel proved to be convenient and the room was comfortable, the quality of service was substandard. My request for room cleaning went unanswered on day. Another request was incomplete. Further, the person at front desk seemed so unfriendly until I avoided voicing my concern as things happened. When booking, I inquired […] about the picture online and if the rooms looked like it. The room I received was smaller and when I asked if a larger room existed, I was told "no". Mehr

I stay at the Marriott frequently as I travel for my job. I've never checked into one where the restaurant is closed at 4:00 AND and combination coffee and coctail bar is not manned because the server has to also handle room service delivery. Then after we returned from the event we attended (11:00 pm) on a Friday night the kitchen is closed! So we […] left again and drove to McDonald's to get a bite. The room was clean and it was nice, but the filter for the air conditioning/furnace was unbelieveably filthy. It was so full, that the filter could no longer accept anymore dust and debri and was backing up on the in side of the access door to the unit. Don't ask me...I mean the access door was in the room....I was curious what it was so I opened it....never thinking of what it was access to. I have pictures if you want to see it. If you have allergies like I do this is a nightmare for dust mite sufferers. I showed the picture to the service desk when I checked out and there was just an apology. Yes I get shots for allergies, yes I thankfully had the prescriptions for nose sprays and allergy tablets with me.....but seriouly that thing could not have been changed in a year.. Mehr

Everything about our stay could not have been better. The staff was great and immediate with their service. The location was perfect to get to and from attractions and site seeing. It was a great stay.

This was a nice hotel. It was fairly close to the areas that we needed to travel to for the weekend. The only pitfall about the experience was the door-less walk-in shower. It was great in form, but poor in function. The glass partition probably needs to be extended a bit to keep massive amounts of water from splashing on the bathroom floor. I did not like the fact that I could not get a snack or meal after 11:00 AM. in a restaurant.

I really enjoyed my stay in this hotel. The room was very comfortable and I just love the bed! The only issue I had was regarding the cost of the food if you decided to get room service or eat at the restaurants in the hotel. I found the prices to be ridiculous for the quality. Staff was courteous and helpful.

This hotel is definitely one of the best I have found in the area. I love the fact that you can get room service but also get the food from the restaurant or the bar if you desire. Marriott hotels in general have always been nice, but this is definitely on the top of our list. The front desk staff it so friendly and helpful, the rooms are nicely furnished and spotless. This is a great hotel. Very clean and very affordable. It is a great property.

We have stayed at several Marriott hotels and this one is definitely at the top of the list when it comes to comfort anf friendliness. We were given an upgrade to a huge suite at no additional cost. The restaurant was clean and efficient and the food was fabulous. It was simply the BEST.

I stay in this area often and this is the first time I have stayed here. The hotel is huge. It has its own restaurant with different seating where each party can have a small personal t.v. if desired (great for kids or sports games), bar in both restaurant and lounge, Starbucks Coffee lounge, and numerous conference rooms. After a long drive, we arrived […] earlier then the check-in and the staff did everything they could to help us find a room as soon as it was available without charge. The room was incredibly comfortable, the bed amazing (I actually want to buy the mattress), bathroom large and clean. I took my daughter to the indoor pool which to my surprise actually felt like it was heated so I actually went in! Towels were provided! I was accompanied by my husband, toddler, and infant and the hotel provided us with an actual crib and a super comfortable roll away bed that all fit fine with our king size bed. I was completely impressed! The room service is a little on the expensive side but in my opinion was worth the joy on my daughter's face to have breakfast in bed. Food can be ordered in-room from the lounge or the restaurant which I thought was great. Every staff member I came into contact with was wonderful and very helpful. All seemed to go above and beyond in making sure our stay was pleasant and as comfortable as it could be. I am definitely going to stay here again! Mehr

Staff was extremely helpful, room was clean, very comfortable, decor was great, wireless internet connection effortless. Couldn't ask for a better hotel experience.

The Marriott Chesapeake is a great hotel. They have a fitness room, an indoor pool and a outdoor deck. For all you coffee lovers they even have a Starbucks in the hotel as well, however when I booked my room through Hotel's.com I asked for one room two beds with a pullout sofa, we only had one bed and my room was dusty, and the comforters were not clean […] there were solied food stains on them and the house keeping staff must have been scaled back a bit, we didn't even get a cleaning until almost six and when they came I was taking a nap, overall the experience was ok, I've been in better places and hopefully this was a rare one time hiccup. I think the Staybridge across the street was better I took a sneak peak. Mehr

bedding is bad. mattress is too soft (old). Coffee, sink both inconveniently in bathroom - not good for family vacation. the use of computer is charged at 40+ cents per minute! Expensive but not worth it.

convenient to shopping center and resturants.

after enduring a fouteen hour drive, including a two hour traffic jam, we were beat. Staff at the Marriott were most helpful. Our room AC unit was malfunctioning. A service tech was promptly sent to repair the unit. Upon finding that a repair could not be easily made, we were moved to another room. Very clean and the staff are very friendly. The only thing is the showers need a grip pad. My children and I slid and feel, but otherwise the hotel and the comfort of the beds were awesome and I would stay again.
