"Holiday Inn Bangor-Great for Families"
Pros: Holiday Inn Bangor is a nice hotel. It's nicely kept, it's clean, and the staff are friendly. The pool is a good size and the hot tub is nice too. The pool area is kept clean as well. Cons: If you need a room w/ 2 beds, you need to know that the beds are small. This makes for very uncomfortable sleeping if you have to share the beds. Also, the […] rooms aren't ready until late into the afternoon. This can be a pain if you have somewhere to be at 5:00 and your room isn't ready until 4:00. You can't get a family of 4 or 5 ready to go to say......a wedding.....in less than an hour. Overall, it's nice and we will continue to stay there some when we are in the area. Mehr

"Not bad,but a bit cold"
Nice place to visit for a day but too costly to eat there,breakfast for 2was30 bucks,the pool was nice and clean,but a bit cold,hot tub was nice, room ok,nice tv.

This hotel was great, not far from shopping, convenience of breakfast in the morning, and supper at Pete and Larrys if you didn't want to venture out. Friendly staff and great pricing

"excellent service"
The service was very friendly and we werre made to feel welcome. The food in the restaurant was wonderful with huge portions. one dinner would easily feed two people. The facilitywas clean and orderly. my only caveat would be that I think someone had smoked in the room at some point. There was not a strong smoke smell, but it did smell very vaguely […] of cigarettes to me. The bed was comfortable and even my chihuahua was relaxed and happy. I woul ddefinately stay here again. Found the rooms were old & outdated, seen mold on the ceilings, and for the price of the room in off season pricing not all that good. Couldn;t even offer a continential breakfast. Wouldn;t go back.

Hotel is very close to all things Bangor, right off the interstate. Room was extremely clean and everyone was very pleasant. Would recommend.
This hotel was close enough to all areas that we wanted to go; easy to find and very clean. I would consider staying at this hotel every time I visit Bangor.

I very much liked this hotel, the staff were very helpful, the rooms were clean and spacious. I loved the bathroom I wish I could take the shower home with me. The bar was fun and lively, karaoke was a must. There was plenty of nice people to make the time pass by in a goodly fashion. It was expensive for what we got, but August in Maine can command those prices. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioning worked. This hotel abuts live train tracks, though on a Friday night there was no noise to bother us (and I am very sensitive to noise). "Bangor, Maine"
When we arrived in the evening, we could see that there was a bar attached to the hotel. There was a small group of people smoking and I noticed some vulgarity while in their partying mood. Rawdiness and partying might be a concern for some families. There was no fan in the bathroom and my daughter almost fell because the floor was so wet from lack […] of ventilation. Always like staying at this hotel. Very helpful when you have kids. The hotel was doing major construction on the grounds, but still maintained a working nice hotel.

I was pleased with our stay there, as was my traveling companion. The room was as expected. Everythign was clean. The water was hot. They are under construction and apparently have been for a while, that didn't really affect anything except that the sign was not out front and we weren't sure if that was it. "Holiday Inn Bangor - Will go again!!"
We booked this hotel through Hotels.com with no problems at all..and a great rate! We were a little unsure about the hotel since we saw some negative reviews but decided to book anyway. Upon arrival it was obvious that the hotel was under construction but it didn't interrupt our stay at all. the renovations are beautiful. Our room had 2 double beds […] which were very comfortable the bathroom hadn't been renovated but wasn't terrible. The ceiling needed a bit of work, popcorn ceiling was starting to peel and flaked after running the shower. After mentioning it to the front desk they had maintenance scrape it and it was fine for the rest of our stay. As for location, it is about 10 minutes *max* from the shopping mall, restaurants etc. It was nice to be close but not right beside everything. There is also a Dunkin Donuts right beside so very convenient for coffee in the am! Guest services were very friendly and accomodating as well as housekeeping. We would certianly stay there on our next shopping trip to Bangor!! oh also all the comments about it being a maze...it isn't complicated at all! and yes you do have to go outside to get to the front desk but it is about 10ft from any exit! "A little disapointed"
Although the hotel and room were both clean and looked amazing, the temperture of the room was too hot,( and could no get the a/c to work), and the bed was very uncomfortable. Neither one of us got any sleep, and were quite sore both mornings.

service in the restaurant was quite awkward. We paid to have breakfast included but was asked several times for an explanation and proof. The food wasnt worth the hassle and servers stayed out in the kitchen unaccessable. There were YOUNG teenagers in the pool making out and creating discomfort for several guests and when management came down they just […] observed them for about 2 mins and left without asking them to be respectful . I finally asked them to stop and act appropriate in public and they did. these things while annoying didnt deter us from enjoying the rest of our stay. "One of the nicer looking and cheap hotels in Maine"
It was a bit of a maze and once you realized you had to go outside to get to the lobby, I could get around. The pool was under maintenanc when I was there but it will be a very nice place.

"Holiday Inn Bangor - near airport"
Hotel is on the airport strip, right beside Dunkin Donuts. Hotel was doing renovations when we were there and based on how it looked, I'd say it was originally built in the 70's. It should look nice once that work is completed. The outdoor pool was closed, but the indoor pool was open and clean. Overall, it delivered a clean, comfortable room.

"Good Room, GREAT Restaurant, good response time"
We stayed here for a college alumni weekend. The room was nice-toilet was broken but maintenance came right up to fix it. The fan did not work in the bathroom but we lived with that. Restaurant was very accomodating to our extra large party of 19 people-wonderful experience. All and all, a nice place for the money spent.

Although we would all like the newest or what appears to be the newest unit in a chain, you don't often get it. This Bangor Holiday Inn is just OK. Clean, yes, friendly yes, coffee yes but a little tired. The location was just OK if you want to be close to interstates or major highways. Bad layout for guest's, had to go outside in the rain to get to our room. Ice and vending machines few and far between.
