äußerst günstig gelegen, trotz Hauptstrasse kein Lärm im Zimmer, gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Bar gegenüber, Personal sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich, nur der Frühstücksraum etwas zu klein, ebenso der Parkplatz, aber genügend Plätze im Umkreis vorhanden, Zimmer sauber und komfortabel

"Schönes Hotel, super Lage"
Das Hotel ist in super zentraler Lage und gut gepflegt. Ist zwar etwas älter, aber sehr sauber. In unmittelbarer Nähe befinden sich diverse Shops, Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Man kann alles zu Fuß erreichen.

"most strategic location in NOLA"
you are in the french quarter (everything is within walking distance) and it's accessible enough (to easily drive out with no traffic hassle)

"Holiday Inn New Orleans-French Quarter"
Cleaness was of the room was not satisfied. smell of clorine from the pool on the 10:th etage. Lot of dirt in the heating radiotor in the room. It took 2 days to get the waste baskets emty, even when we repeat this to the reception a couple of time.

"French Quarter Holiday Inn"
My room was very clean and comfortable but the breakfast coupon is a rip off, the key cards are deactivated precisely at 11am, and the parking fee and paperwork process is ridiculous.
"The Most Dirty Holiday in I've Used"
I have to tell you that they changed my room and upgraded my room--after I complained about the dirtiness of the toilet, carpet, and coffee pot. They were not fully cleaned. I warned that when my wife arrived--one day after I arrived--she would tell me to change hotels. I passed this information on to the Concierge and that's when the upgrade occurred. But […] the Holiday Inn standard I'm accustomed to was not found here. I have used Holiday Inns all over the world, to feel assured of consistent quality--like Mac Donald's all over the world. "Holiday Inn Royal St NOLA - Descent but..."
They need larger or more elevators. We had to wait for several minutes while full elevators passed us by. My Bathroom smelled like mildew too. It was, however, conveniently located to the quarter and the staff was pleasant. I also liked how I wasn't charged extra for 4 people in a room.

The location is very convenient, within walking distance of several major attractions and the St. Charles and Canal streetcar line. The day concierge is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. "Great location but otherwise very low star hotel"
Great location but the hotel room was very old and we had to wait in lines for the elevator because they were so slow. They also don't have a restroom in the lobby which was inconvenient considering the long lines for the elevator. Make sure you aren't rushing to use the restroom when you get back to the hotel....
"NCAA Weekend"
Everything was great exept the lady working the phones at the front desk had a terrible attitude.
Room was partially clean when I arrived and during my entire stay (7 nights) was never completely clean as well....

"Holiday inn in new orleans"
when we first got there we found out that we acidentally booked handicap rooms When we asked to have the rooms changed the staff was very rude and refused to change our rooms. The resturant was dirty, bartenter rude. On the plus side the rooms were the least expensive for that area. Good location real close to Burbon St. (if you can handle alot of drunk […] people in the hotel at all hours) and the trolley was just across the street to take you where ever you want. Walgreens on the same block, little store across the street, although i don't recomend going in there lots of homeless peple hang out there panhandling. Oh ya if you drive they have a parking garage but it is costly. Mehr
The only thing that was wrong was the pop vending machine was broke on our floor the whole week that we were there.
The room was not clean. The hotel overall needs more staff to keep up with the dailiy grind of the French Quarter. I expected a little more than what we got for this amount of money. We have stayed in the Monteleone for only a little more daily.

Fantastic location. Cleanliness - so so. Cleaning was definitely better on our second full day as opposed to the first (hotel soaps were replaced, even though they had been used on day 1). Oddly enough, had shower clogging problems as well - given the number of comments on this website about the issue, which requires maintenance to come in, I am a […] little suspicious that so many people have this problem. "A very busy hotel"
I think there were a lot of folks checking in from or leaving for cruise ships, so the front desk was very busy. When I checked in they neglected to tell me about internet access. The phone in my room did not work quite rite (or the operator was too busy to answer). There was a long line checking in, so I asked the concierge about internet access and […] she said I would have to get the information from the front desk. The line was long, so I gave up for awhile. On Saturday, they changed internet access codes without telling me. When I called the front desk (I think the phone was finally working), they gave me the new code, but not the new userid, so I ended up having to call tech support and waiting until an agent was available. I was put in an accommodated room, which was okay, but the front desk said it had been requested by hotels.com. They may have been making that up, because I coiuld not find any indication on my reservation or on my hotels.com account that this was part of the request. The room was generally in good condition, but there were a couple of places where the wall paper was peeling and should be repaired. Also, the switches on the lamp were a little hard to work. this hotel had a great location - at the very outside of the French Quarter close to Canal and the Central Business District. ATM with only 99 cent fee across the street, close to shopping in the CBD and not far from Decatur for souvenir shopping. Hotel was nice and housekeeping was extremely accommodating for our group of 5. The only drawback was the […] free internet and complimentary computers in the lobby - the internet was super slow, pretty much worthless. "Horrible Holiday Inn French Quarter"
My husband and I were extremely disappointed in the hotel!!! We usually stay a few blocks down at another Holiday Inn that we love but decided to try this one because of the location to the French Quarter, I have to say that the location is the ONLY thing good about this hotel! We were surprised to find out that we would be charged additional parking […] fees on top of the nightly room charged. The gargage was unsecured and we had to clean up one morning when we came down to find that someone had had a party on our tailgate and left there trash in and around our truck when they were done! The front desk personel were robotic unfriendly and noninformative. We booked a smoking room only to find out that the entire property is non-smoking except for a small unsafe corner of the 7th floor of the garage where the thugs hang out. In the room there is no microwave or refrigerator and no balcony. There is a seperate living room with a foldout bed but no TV in that room and the TV in the bedroom looked like something purchased at a garage sale in the 9th ward! I had to clean fecal matter off the light fixture in the bathroom 1st thing when we arrived. Our neighbors ordered room service the first night we were there and there tray of leftovers was still in the hallway when we left. The batteries went out in the remote control and I took the time to go down to the lobby to get them the clerk assured me he would send someone up with the new batteries as of check out we never received them! The elevators were scary and dirty and there were to few of them, we opted for the stairs several times as the wait was so long even though we were on the 15th floor. The mexican rest. next door is the hotels food source and their service leaves much to be desired. We are usually pretty easy to please believe it or not but our stay here was horrible and we will never return! I would not recommend this hotel to anyone! Mehr

The only reason we chose this hotel was location to everything & was told we would have a balcony. Location was good, but was very disappointed about the balcony. Never saw a full breakfast there either. Are you talking about next door? Feel we were mislead. Was clean & close to everything in the Quarter. Elevator are a mess at check out.

"Close to everything - great location"
Do NOT eat at their restaurant. It was terrible and the wait staff was put out by us being there. Otherwise was a great location. Overall no complaints.

This place isn't a palace, but the staff were nice and attended to our requests. The rooms were clean, but not fancy. A great place for young adults looking for a reasonably priced hotel perfectly located on the edge of the French Quarter. We'd go back again, but probably only in a pinch.

We got into town around 11 a.m. We went to the hotel and were allowed to park there even though check in was 5pm, that was great! They said they would call when our rooms were ready, which they did not. We got back to the hotel around 6pm and had to wait in line 30 minutes to check in. Other than that, it was a great time! "Parking sucks"
It's in the middle of the french quarter, we went on a non-holiday Monday night. Hotel parking was full and had to park about 4 blocks away for $30/night. Hotel room was nice, hotel itself is a little worn, but expected given the location.

Would never recommend this hotel. We waited until after 6:00 pm for our room to be ready. Rude staff had no concern for their tardiness. Made for a long day when my daughters all waited in the lobby for hours. Try another location.

We loved our stay there. Being new to New Orleans, we had a little trouble figuring out how to get to it with all the one way streets, but once we were in the garage it was perfect. "Great Location!"
As I would have prefered staying in a bed and breakfast this hotel had some perks! The woman who set us up with the tours down stairs (Heather) was extremely helpful and friendly! Book two tours with her and they went smoothly. The location was convinient as well(Royal and Canal) but the parking was pretty expensive roughly $30 a day even if you were […] a guest. The elevator was a little ridiculous that you had to swipe a card when ever you go to a guest room but it wasn't necessary to walk up the stairs. I did not receive my walk up call in the morning which was upseting and received no compensation of the sort(perhaps I'm just spoiled). All in all a decent hotel to stay while you're in NOLA but I would def. use as a last resort or if just planning on partying. Mehr

"Good location"
It has great location, right on French Quarters but limited room service. Do not have breakfast in that adjacent Parrot cafe, very low quality and overpriced.
"mold in rooms"
Overall this hotel COULD be wonderful and was not that bad as is. However, there is a wallpaper border around the top of the rooms. A portion of this was peeling away and there was noticeable mold under it. Also if you dont keep the air on while in the room it gets very humid. The furnishings appeared to be new, the bed was wonderful and linens were […] clean and unstained. I have no problem telling others about this hotel, great location and it is in the French Quarter and close to everything.
