I would stay at this hotel everytime into Lima or immediate area. Very nice, very clean. Friendly stafff.

I was supposed to get "pool side" but actually wasnt I expected (walk out your sliding door to pool) - had to walk out sliding door, go around a bit of a play / gaming area, then pool. Too close to gaming area - VERY NOISEY! Housekeeping made us feel rushed to get out of there - knocked on our door 2 times before check out time. We stayed as a family of four, just to get away for the night and swim. The pool was warm, clean, and other than no parents being there to watch there own kids, it was great. Only downfall, no hottub!

I was very upset with this hotel. I only choose this hotel because of the web site saying it had a spa tube and then on arrival finding out there was not one and the worker and saying anything nice about it. I will never stay at that hotel again due to the fails information.

The jacuzzi was gone. They filled it in. The room was hot and the AC barely worked. The fan in the bathroom didn't work. The video games stole quarters. The towels looked like they were washed with something purple. They just had a purple stain tint to them. I travel a lot and have become more aware of service as I travel. This was a clean room, has a small bar onsite. The breakfast was disappointing. The hotel is not in a great part of town, but is close to restaurants. Breakfast was lackluster at best. The room was not cleaned well and many of the furnishings were in poor repair. Overall, it was not a great place, however it is pet friendly and the price was cheap. It was OK for a couple of nights for a family get together at Thanksgiving. I've stayed at three other Lima area motels while visiting family, and this was by far the nicest. Good sized, clean rooms, impressive indoor courtyard with pool, games (air hockey, pool table, ping pong table, etc.), good breakfast in spacious area. Good help on the night desk, although the morning guy needs to stick around the office a bit more. A […] little hard to find because the Howard Johnson's signage is so much smaller and less conspicuous than signage for other surrounding motels. My room was not cleaned during my stay. The bed was not made. I was told by the front desk that they had a lot of complaints about the rooms not being cleaned and the beds not made, but no effort to correct the situation. Upon arrival there were dirty footprints in the bathroom; they were still there when I left. I will never stay at another Howard […] Johnson. We moved out of state about 2 1/2 years ago. I was in town for a few days due to a death in the family and also to spend my birthday with my boys for the first time since we had moved. We have 2 adult children living in Lima and had never stayed here before and have had some bad experiences at other hotels in the past. We will most likely always stay […] at this hotel in the future. We found the staff, the service the comfort of the beds, just everything very much what we were hoping for. We will definitely recommend this to our family and friends. Planning a stay again in a couple weeks. Hoping there will be a promotion of some sort. The hotel needs updates for the room and bathroom. Can hear everything going on in your neighboring rooms. Dirty carpet around the edging of carpet and wall. Drain in the tub would not empty while taking a shower. The hotel had potenial, but needs a lot of re-modeling done.

We was able to check in at the right time, pool was nice, plenty of Activities to participate in, staff was EXCELLENT! Breakfast was good. Will stay in this hotel the next time I am in town! Thank you for providing an excellent place to relax before and after our Concert with Dierks Bentley!!!

Pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Big open lobby and great game area if you have friends or family visiting with you. The rooms were clean; bathrooms are getting a little old and will need to be updated eventually. The bedspread was pretty thin but you could easy adjust the room temperature to make it comfortable. Very nice maids that left us alone […] when asked and brought many extra towels for us. Great price and included breakfast which was adequate. I also liked that they didn't kick us out of the breakfast area after closing time; they let us finish in peace. Be sure you ask for an outside window room otherwise you will be looking into the pool/lobby/game area. Mehr

Though an older property the lobby area is updated, bright, and spotless. The staff did a wonderful job in providing us with a clean (and I mean clean to the corners), fresh-smelling room. You can see that the housekeeping staff takes pride in their work. There was a dirty shirt left in our room from the previous occupant. The lady filling up the muffins in the breakfast bar should have worn gloves and didn't. Some light fixtures were loose in our room, shades were torn!

Only complaint I have is. When I checked in I was given room 223. When I went to room it hadn't been cleaned. I talked to housekeeper and tod them what was going on. I was going out to meet a freind anyway. When I returne later roomwasperfect.

We had mistakenly booked smoking rooms (4 adult non-smokers and 2 babies). The staff cheerfully re-assigned us to non-smoking - ADJOINING rooms and we enjoyed the excellent facilities after a long (10 hour) day on the road. I had my grown adult children and a 4 month old grandbaby, my mother and my 1yr and 4yr olds with me, so it was wonderful for all ages. I loved the room. Front Desk service was excellent. Very lovely decor. Location was directly off highway which made it easy. Breakfast was pulled a little early about 9:30ish but very good for complimentary!

We arrived at night, slept, then took off early the next morning. It suited our purpose well, but almost wish we could have stayed longer. There seemed like there was a lot to do there-pool, bar area, ping pong table, etc. in the lobby area.

We had an excellent stay at the hotel. The true test of any hotel is not when everything is right but when something goes wrong. When me, my wife and three kids got settled down in the room, after washing our hands in the bathroom sink we notice that the water would not drain. I call the front desk and someone came up immediately to fix the problem. […] After determining that the problem could not be fixed tonight, the gentlemen offered to move us to another room or let us use the room next door since it was adjoining. He even bought us dinner in the lounge downstairs. Everything turned out great. The service was great and very professional. We wil be back and I would definitely recommend the hotel to a friend. My husband and I had a nice night away, walking to a local sports bar. Enjoyed our dinner and drinks and then could just walk back to our hotel. Comfortable stay.

The room was dirty. The carpet was filthy! Air conditioner had stuff laying in the vents. The bed sheets were not changed once during our stay. I had to put towels down on the bathroom floor because my feet would get dirty from the floor! Thoroughly disappointed!!
