die anbindung mit den öffentlichen verkehrsmitteln zur innenstadt ist super. das frühstück sehr dürftig, aber daß es 24/7 kaffe und tee umsonst gibt, haben wir oft gern genutzt. der preis schlägt alles! dashotel hat seine besten zeiten schon hinter sich. aber für den preis ist es top.

Es ist wirklich so schön, wie sie beschreiben. Die grosszügige und einladende Lobby in der ersten Etage diente u.a. dem Weinempfang aller an diesem Tag anreisenden Gäste. Allerdings scheint die Zeit auf 17 bis 18 Uhr begrenzt zu sein. Eher als Ausnahme bekam ich später noch einen Gutschein für die Bar, die nicht ganz so nett ist, wie die Lobby. Beim Frühstück im benachbarten Bistro muss man wissen, was man wählt, um nicht vom Amerikanischen Geschmack überrascht zu werden.

Zu unserer Ueberraschung war alles viel kleiner, als es in den Bildern erscheint. Der Fotograf hat einen super Job gemacht. Dennoch ist das Hotel eine sehr gute Wahl. Allerdings hatten wir eine Suite. Wir haben das Zimmer-Service-Fruehstueck nie genutzt, da es genug guenstige und gute Alternativen in der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt.
Lage
Holiday Inn Chicago - Elk Grove liegt in Elk Grove Village. Folgende Sehenswürdigkeiten befinden sich in der Umgebung: Allstate Arena, Legoland Discovery und Woodfield Einkaufszentrum. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten der Umgebung gehören: Donald E. Stephens Convention Center und Schaumburg Convention Center.

With a family of 6 I was very pleased with my stay hear, it was affordable and just a great expereance.

"Holiday Inn - Elk Grove Village"
It's an old hotel undergoing some remodeling. Bathroom is small and constricted (I'm an average size male at 6' 200 lbs), you have to step to the side of the toilet in order to open or close the door. Doorways are narrow as well. Lots of paint layers on all of the doorways and walls. It's an inexpensive dive. The restaurant was outstanding in food […] selection, price and flavor. Yum! "They didn't put their best foot forward."
I have stayed at this hotel in the past. That was the reason that I chose this location. I am not sure if it is because I booked through Hotels.com or what but the room I got for this stay was horrible. The wall paper was peeling off the walls. The room smelled bad. The bath room was dirty. I have stayed here before, even hosted meetings here where […] we booked a block of 30 rooms. Either it has gone way down hill or they just push off their bad rooms to Hotel.com. I only stayed one night and then moved on to a different hotel. Mehr

"Steer Clear!"
The bathroom was so small the door barely cleared the toilet. The bathroom sink was nice and new but the rest of the bathroom was very old and dirty. The grout was disgusting, there was mildew growing in the shower and the tub drained very, very slow ... yuck. The rest of the room was tidy. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were terrible. You […] could buy snacks at the front desk but nothing like advil or tylenol ... had to go out and find a Walgreens a few miles away! Steer Clear! Mehr
"Industrial blockade"
Hotel was stark cold and uninviting. Service was minimum at best. Attached restaurant is fine if you like loud and trashy.

The room was spacious and the beds were comfortable. The pool was nice, but the Jacuzzi was out of order. The hotel staff was very friendly and provided free airport shuttles.

"Decent at best..."
Upon checking into the hotel we were accosted by ants, crawling on the bedside table and our food, they came and sprayed but to no avail. Since they were sold out we weren't moved till the following day and we were in that room no more than 10 minutes and discovered ants in the bathroom. They denied that they had an ant problem. The rooms also had a […] strong musty odor! We did get breakfast for our trouble and hotels.com was gracious to us. I won't stay there again. Mehr

We were only at the hotel for enough hours to sleep and get over to O'Hare, but it is a clean and comfortable hotel with a pleasant staff. Everything was great for our brief stay. The only oddity was the shape of the bathroom and door. The bathroom was a little too small for the size of the door, making it awkward to maneuver. That was the only drawback. Excellent hotel for the price tag...half hour away from chicago which is convenient...clean rooms..good service..a must stay at place for those chicago bound.

I have stayed at this facility numerous times in the last several years. It is very convenient for the business traveler, and reasonably priced. Rooms are nice and the attached restaurant and bar great for winding down at the end of a hectic day.

This place was okay. We were in room 138. Good refrigerator, beds were comfy, but 2 big flaws: 1) the pillows were those small square types (2 hard ones, 2 soft ones)... thank God we were driving and brought our own pillows. 2) the windows faced the well-lit indoor pool. I could easily make out the pool, etc. through the thin curtain that covered the […] window, and I imagine they could easily see into my room. But guess what.... the thick drapes did NOT move to cover the thin drapes. They wouldn't close! Even at 2am the hotel room was lit up and there was nothing you could do to close the drapes. I stayed over for a weekend and had little to complain about. Very clean, nice staff, nice (but small) bathroom and very comfortable bed. The walls are a little thin, and there was some noise from another room. Aside that, a great stay.

Stayed for a night. Ideal place for driving to the CTA train stop and exploring the downtown. Everything about the hotel was good except 1. there was a stain in the bed sheet. We were tired and did not complain about it 2. No free breakfast. I felt that was sort of irritating

"Nice hotel for the price"
Easy to see they have done a bit of a face lift as thi chain has worked on rebranding the past few years. At its core this is a very old hotel in the Bensenville-Elk Grove Village area. They have done very well to fix it up. Location off of Busse/ rte 83 is excellent. Also they have a fantastic restaurant and bar connected to this hotel that is a blessing […] after a long day. Check in and check out process is quick and painless. Recommend this place for the location, price, and refurbished charm (if that is something that is possible in Bensenville, they nailed it). Mehr
"Not close enough to the airport"
The reservation desk at the airport did not have this particular hotel on in the computer so it was very difficult to get a hold of them. I thought i brought the copy of the reservation but I had forgotten it. When I finally found their number and called they said the shuttle "just left" when we phoned them and we had to wait another hour, despite the […] merely 15 minute drive, (and with an infant) for the next shuttle. When the shuttle finally came it was 2 hours after we landed and we were quite frustrated at not being able to enjoy the pool or have a decent meal. We were stuck with eating mcdonalds at the airport. i will not stay at this hotel again. Mehr

"helpful front desk"
The hotel is located in an industrial area. You would hear the planes once a while. fairly good access to I-90. 30 minutes to Chicago. The front desk was really helpful. They would answer to your questions and do their best to satisfy you. I would recommend to find "Abed" and ask him about good restaurants.

"Great Sleep & Comfort"
Even though the planes flew over the hotel from O'Hare, the room was quiet! The bed was awesome - very, very comfortable. Though we passed several hotels from the airport to this hotel, we would book this one again through hotels.com (whose service was all great). Our one-night stay felt like a week's vacation!

El hotel esta muy cerca del Aeropuerto, cosa que en nuestro caso agradecimos dado que no querimos entrar en Chicago. La habitacion fenomenal, muy nueva y muy limpia, cosa que se agradece tras un largo viaje en avión. totalmente recomendable

Airco kreeg de kamer niet koel daarnaast was de shuttle service te beperkt beschikbaar.
