"An easy drive to the district"
I was happy with the staff and the location and the service. I gave cleanliness of room a 4 because the white (why use white for a duvet cover anyway?) had a a very pronounced stain in it about the size of a silver dollar. Day 1 it was covered by pillows and day 2 and 3 easily seen as the cover had been moved around during the remake process. I did […] not complain - seemed trivial to me. Excellent breakfast buffet in morning - highly suggest. We ate at O'Malley's pub a couple times - good food, fast service, was a little put off when the bartender told us and everyone in earshot that the physical bar (furniture) was failing and that they were the only profitable part of the hotel and management felt money better used elsewhere. I found that very unprofessional. Desk staff very helpful I was part fo larger group and we all were treated very well and given special parking area fro our motorcycles, and asked to use a separate entrance as to not bother other guests - I was fine with that and thought it was very accommodating and thoughtful. I would stay there again with no issues. I found the hotel somewhat difficult to locate as it is nestled between taller buildings and signage was small. It is clearly marked high up on building but not from the direction I came and went from. The hotel is good for a nights stay. However, the service at the time of check in and in the restaurant was not up to the standard. The receptionist did not let us know that the breakfast will require coupons(breakfast was included in our tariff) and then at the time of breakfast the waiters service was not up to the mark, they were evasive. To top […] it all, at the end of the breakfast the waiter brought the Check with amount due!!!!! I think, the management needs to look into the service aspect of the hotel. Typical hotel room. Supposed to have free breakfast with room, but tried to charge us for buffets for a 3 and 7 yr old. Did drop the charge when we fought it, and were very polite about it - 15.00 for a 3 yr old eating at a buffet seems ridiculous to me (think she had a piece of toast) but waiter seemed a bit jaded. My only critique was a mandatory […] charge for housekeeping?? I thought tips were supposed to be obligatory and at the discretion of guest. If not, then it's a charge, not a tip. We're happy about our stay at this hotel, iit was clean and comfortable. However, it seems like there was an issue between Hotels.com system and the hotel. We booked this hotels with two double beds through Hotels.com but we checked in, the room only has one king bed. I really enjoyed my one night stay at the hotel, it was nice, quite, clean and good. My only advise would be if you are trying to decide if u want the breakfast included or not, I say take it! It is very clean and put together. But if you were more a Starbucks fan than don't take the breakfast option because there are 3 Starbucks in the area 2 in the […] mall and 1 next to whole foods which is right next to The Westin hotel in the area:) I stayed there on a Saturday and checked out Sunday! It is within a walking distance to Tyson's corner and there is a gas station also within a walking distance. Nice resturaunts in the area including inside the mall itself. The room was neat and clean and the staff were polite, but I was a little disappointed that the indoor pool and whirlpool were down the whole 2 days we were there. The check in process was very fast and the receptionists were helpful. However the heater in the room does not really work, we set the temperature to 27C but it felt like 15C. Comfortable bed with variety of pillows. Complimentary full breakfast was included in the rate. Ample free parking available. Front desk staff always friendly and eager to help.
