no electrical power at the front desk; took about an hour to check in; no internet service; ice is supposed to be available in the room and wasn't

We were very disappointed with this place. People partied very late at night. We usually pay less for accomidations and we arn't very picky. We wanted to splerge a little and found the opposit. In short the place was not worth the money.

I absolutely loved my stay here! It was a short drive to several beaches. The room was amazing! This is no kitchenette, its a KITCHEN. There was beautiful granite and the room came with all the supplies needed to cook. I would stay here again anytime

Rooms are large with a fully equipped kitchen. Excellent full breakfast each morning. Weekdays they have an evening appettizer w/ drinks. The Swimming Pool is a little small. They have a Security Guard in the evening and we felt very safe and have stayed at this hotel many times in the past.

Very nice hotel. Free breakfast, free dinner some nights, free laundry soap. And yet they charge $3.50 for the bottle of water in the room. Strange.

My boyfriend and I stayed over one night because we where going to an event in LBC. The room felt like a mini-apartment. It had all the amenities to cook anything you wanted. The kitchen was amazing. The bed was very comfortable. We didn't get to use the pool but it looked very inviting. Overall a pleasant stay.

Very impressed. Comfortable spacious suite with all amenities. Nice pool area, Cooked breakfast adequate & included in price.

We really enjoyed our stay at this location. We found everything we needed to be very convenient and within 30-45 minutes. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Excellent hotel with a fully equiped kitchen/studio unit. Full breakfast served daily and an early evening snack served Mon-Fre. You feel very safe as there is only one entrance in and out. Plus they have a security guard at the entrance nightly to verify if you are actually book into a room before you are allowed to enter.

Staff had their hands full with a large party but carried on very well

No Toliet paper in room, no discolsure of $250,00 deposit for room for security reasons. I gave them and elite patinum card for my reservation. That is insulting. Could not cancel and go some where else though do to Marriot's cancelation policy. Marriot needs to review ther policies. I will never stay at any Marriot ever again.

Very attentive and friendly staff

I always like staying at Residence Inns. This one seemed to have a slight smokey smell even though it's a smoke free hotel. I did notice a lot of people outdoors smoking, so that is probably where the smell comes from. I also found the blanket for the sofa bed not completely clean. Lots of stray hairs. Not good. Nice and clean and comfortable.

Wasn't expecting such a nice room, actually! Asked for and got a downstairs w/ grass close (we had dogs w/ us) Kitchenette had everything! coffee pot, dishes, silverware, pots and pans! Very roomy--always worry about the bed being comfortable--was pleased w/ bed and bedding.... VERY pleased w/ our stay and will always look for a Residence Inn w/ any […] future traveling we may do! I have to say that I am very impressed with this "hotel"! It's setup like a condo or apartment community with two stories. My room came fully furnished with everything one could need (except food, of course!). A full kitchen including everything from full fridge, stove, microwave, to plates and utensils! A good size (at least 30 inch) flat panel television […] on a rotating stand to face either the kitchen, sitting area, or bed. The only slight downside is that everything is crammed into a single room, except the bathroom which seemed to be over sized. Although since this a hotel, none of that even bothered me since I was too busy trying to get over the fact that it had a full size kitchen! My girlfriend and I only stayed for one night, but the hotel staff were very friendly. I also remember seeing some food to purchase in the lobby, such as frozen foods and snacks. This was the nicest hotel I could find in the area near the aquarium, which is relatively 15 minutes away. The surrounding neighborhood is questionable, but was very quiet and never heard any noise which was a surprise due to the proximity of the airport and highway. Mehr

I would give this hotel another star! I was pleasantly surprised at the quality here, from the lobby to the pool area, to the guest rooms. Nearly all the rooms have a FULL modern kitchen, with new stainless steel appliances - full sized stove, full sized refrigerator and microwave, and even a dishwasher! The desk area was very convenient (although the […] cord for the Internet connection could have been a little longer), and there was a small living room area, with a full-sized, very comfortable sofa. The hotel seats between the freeway and a major, all night busy, intersection! The bed was really confortable but you couldnt enjoy it very much with all the street noise going around! And if you're hungry plan on traveling at least 5 miles for the nearest food chain!

Service was below standard. The hotel was under renovation. We were put in an unit where construction was still in progress. Therefore the whole area was a mess. There were big dumpsters in the parking lot with packing & construction materials.

This hotel was great, Clean, nicely decorated, lots of room, and a nice new LG flat screen TV. And having a a kitchen was great! We got a great value for the price!

Great price for the room, space, and parking. The hotel staff was courteous and everything from the pool side to the lounge was well maintained. Free coffee, tea, and juice 24/7 at lobby too. The Inn felt like it was newly built. It was nearby downtown where the nightlife was. Glad I stayed at this Inn as oppose to somewhere more expensive and further […] away from the main attractions. Convenient since it's close to grocery stores and shopping areas, easy to get to local attraction (Aquarium, Shoreline Village, etc), hotel is clean and has kitchen which is convenient and fucntional

Lot's of construction going on here PLUS you know how Marriott is known for their beds and pillows? Not this one. these guys never got in that line. Bad bed and worse pillows. Kinda like a Motel 6 experience.

From the outside, it looks clean but unimpressive -- but inside, a spacious suite was ours for a very low price. A sofa, chair, and wood-burning fireplace with rotating LG large-screen TV made up the living room, adjacent to the comfortable king-size bed. To the right was a desk with computer port and chair, and beyond that a full kitchen, complete […] with glassware, dishwasher, full refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and gave us a good shower, and a large dressing table held both of our toiletries easily. There were 2 closets, ample hangers and bureau space. Free breakfast the next day was hot -- I treated myself to sausage and scrambled eggs, and my partner made a waffle. Healthier fare such as yogurt, hot oatmeal, and fresh fruit were also sampled. This hotel is obviously intended for longer stays, but for our 1-nighter it was perfect. A real find; we'll stay there again. Mehr

They just updated these hotel rooms and they are really nice with stainless steel appliances, granite counters, and flat screen TV's. The rooms are spacious too. I was only there for one night, so I didn't really use any of the hotel services, but I accidentally left some jewelry in my room. de appartementen van het hotel zijn erg ruim en voorzien van een keuken met uitgereide apperatuur. Daarnaast vriendelijk en behulpzaam personeel. Het ontbijtbuffet is Amerikaans met muffins bagels en scrambled eggs hambugers en gebakken aardappelen. Verder fruit uit blijk en bakjes yoghurt met vruchten. Je kunt je eigen wafels bakken. Voor de lunch […] en het avondeten geldt hetzelfde, maar daar hebben we geen gebruik van gemaakt. Je hebt wel een ( huur-) auto nodig want het strand van Santa Monica en Malibu zijn resp. een half uur en een uur rijden van het hotel. Vervelend is dat je op elk uur van de dag in een file beland naar die lokaties. Universal studios en Hollywood zijn goed bereikbaar met de auto.. Voordeel van het hotel is de uitgebreide wasmogelijkheid met wasdrogers. Met jongere kinderen een must. Mehr
