I have been sampling resorts in Arizona for some time now. The Buttes is a good place to stay for it's location, dining, and views. The pool is very nice too. The disappointing aspect was the room. The first room we got had this horrible rotten egg odor to it. It was so bad, we asked to be moved. They moved us promptly, and the next room was better. […] The layout was a bit odd. The fridge was stashed away in some hidden cabinets under the window, and I don't think it worked. I would recommend 2nd floor resort side if you plan on using the pool. The halls are unusually long. So walking directly out onto the patio and to the pool would be much prefered to having to navigate the halls to an elevator. Also, by the way, on a 110 degree day, if the A/C in the elevator isn't working, it certainly makes sense to take the stairs. Mehr

We have stayed here for a 2nd time, and like what the resort has to offer. One thing that was noted during our stay, as the kids were going down the slide, the condition of the slide needs maintenance. There were a couple of times when my kids stated they were cut and/or scraped. Other than that, we had a great time.

Loved the view of camleback mnt, the robes were very nice. It was record break heat the weekend we were there and there was ice cold water everywhere waiting for us and coffee early in the morning outside the enterence as well as single cup brewers in the room.

Wonderful hotel! Amazing pool, good food. Top of the Rocks was beautiful. Sadly no mini bar & $5.00 charge per day for mini fridge(!) After an issue the Hotel more than made up for it. I even stayed another night with the walk-in rate! Breakfast buffet was nice. Cereal, eggs benedict with steak, pancakes, ham, sausage , bacon etc!!! No bath tubs but […] two amazingly beautiful hot tubs. I can't wait to go back! Mehr

We bought upgrade room, and were to get breakfast, wich was not the case, had to pay extra, not enough parking, and vending machines for ice, etc. were a real hike. L Mackel

Air condition in room was loud. While in the room, could hear everyone walking by, and then while walking in the halls, could hear what was going on in the rooms.... Service was great at the pool, restaurants, room service and check in/out. Had lots of goodies for the kids that were not expected. Room was clean, upgraded and comfy overall. Got the breakfast […] buffet package and the buffet was very delicious. Pool had alot of (dead) bees in it but kids had a blast and loved the connecting bay channel pool and waterslide....An ok place to stay for the price. Mehr

Have stayed here many times before (30+ nights), and I live in the area. Property is very well maintained and beautiful. Centrally located with phenomenal views. We always love the entertainment at the Pool CHUCKEBABY, really fun duo, plays GREAT tunes, very talented. Pool area seemed to be a bit under staffed during the day on Saturday.

Did not like the beds to small and need to be updated, the TV could also use an update. no free internet. Had to wear wristbands to use the pool which was not heated.

Was extremely pleased with the hotel, the accommodations, the food, the amenities, and the proximity to ASU. Will look forward to staying there in the future, and would recommend the hotel to anyone.

Took my Baby out to celebrate her Birthday and to show her how much I appreciate her. I booked the overnight getaway at the last minute, was very pleased with the facilities and service from the staff. The fact that she enjoyed it , made all of a difference.

The hotel was on the expensive in but there were many small touches which made it worthy of the price. If you can afford it I would recommend this hotel. Plus it's Tempe one of the best area's of phoenix.

WHat a great location and wonderful Service. Buttes made my stay in Arizona a special treat during my son's Graduation from ASU

We had a volleyball tournament in South Phoenix. I doubt that there is a nicer hotel in the area. Restaurants were very good but a bit on the spendy side averaging just over $200/meal for a family of 4. I read in some reviews that there was no value in upgrading your room. After being there I would disagree and certainly consider upgrading to a poolside […] room (although the standard room was fine). Pools, grounds and hotel where all beautifully maintained. Fantastic hotel! Staff was amazing and accomadation beautiful. Pool was great and the food was incredible. I stayed at the hotel the whole weekend and every meal was fantastic.

The Resort was amazing! All the employees were charming and helpful. It feels as if you are far outside the city. we had our grandchildren come visit and they enjoyed the swimming and hot tubs located in various locations on the mountain sides! After our experience we are planning to use the Buttes as our hotel of choice on all our Arizona trips and […] to plan a party for all our family and friends in one of their outside entertainment areas! Very unsatisfied about the size of the room! Thought we were getting a suite:( but the staff was curtious and very helpful.

Amazing! My daughter started ASU and we stayed there to get her settled. The grounds were beautiful! The room was also very nice, and for the most part, the staff was amazing!!!

This is a great hotel and a great location! The staff was very friendly the room was nice and clean and the pool was beautiful! Will stay there again for sure!

The hotel is great and in a super location,,,,but some of the things and extra expenses which is ridicules are : They charged you for parking,,,,hello....where else is one suppose to park,the hotel is far from any road or anywhere else to park???? They also have this huge parking lot,,,,, They charge you to use the business center,,,also uncalled for,,,,, The […] waterslide was only open one of the days we were there and just before check out,,,,,therefore my son got to use it for 30minutes max,this was one was reasons why I chose this hotel,,,, Mehr

The pool was awesome and the staff was friendly. We went off-season and it wasn't very crowded. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The stay met and exceeded all our expectations....a great bargain for all the amenities. An older property but very upgraded and "hip". The staff was very attentive...very friendly and plentiful. The restaurants a little pricey so we did not eat on the property. Multiple pools and jacuzzis...everything exceptionally well maintained. Room and all other […] amenities appeared to have been recently upgraded. Very nice excercise room with many pieces of equipment. Overall, a very wonderful 2 nights and 3 days for our wedding anniversary and we will definitely stay there again. Mehr

Not happy about stay, our car vandalized while visiting The Buttes Resort. The parking lot has very poor lighting, and has an open field surrounding the property. Workers say, this happens frequently. Some of the staff we spoke with were not surprise, nor showed concern. Management not available to address the action. WHAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

Very inadequate housekeeping location. front desk said it was "located on the other side of the property". I missed placed my cell phone during my stay, it took 1hr and 30 mins for housekeeping and reservation desk to verify and retrieve the phone. Ridiculous.

Ett anrikt hotell som kanske var som bäst för 10 år sedan. Dyr och god frukost men tyvärr med usel service. Poolområdet får dock allra hösta betyg, dagtid såväl som kvällstid. Restaurangen kvällstid bra men för dyr. Värderar man poolen högt är detta ett bra hotell och läget mellan flygplatsen och Arizona Mills Mall är kanon.
